10 Best Budget Laptops with IPS Display 2022 – Reviews & Guide

First of all, let us start by explaining what IPS actually is. So, IPS is an abbreviation of In-plane switching, is a type of LED/ or form of LCD display panel technology which today has gained much popularity in the digital world.

IPS panels are known for their best color and viewing angles among the many other common types of display panels, TN (Twisted Nematic) and VA (Vertical Alignment).

The IPS panel offers great image quality and of the three it offers the best there possibly is. It’s what’s trending today and though it is more expensive than the other two, it’s one of the best there is in terms of viewing quality.

IPS (In-Plane Switching) screen panels are widely popular nowadays as people go for laptops with IPS screens. This is a type of monitor display technology used in TFT LCD panels or Liquid Crystal Display.

Nowadays, many people are looking for a laptop that can do everything. With television decreasing in popularity, more and more of us are using our laptops to consume entertainment like YouTube videos and even movies.

If you are curious about knowing the best budget laptops with IPS displays, then continue reading this post.

The LG gram Thin and Light Laptop is a thin and light laptop that is designed for portability. It can be used as a personal computer, workstation or gaming device. The product was also known as the LG gram 14Z950-GA01US in North America, which was released in February 2018 for $1,300 USD. There are several versions of this product:

  • Gram 14Z950-GA01US (North America)
  • Gram 14Z950-GA02DE (Europe)
  • Gram 14Z950-GA05UK (United Kingdom)

The price of these three versions ranges from 1,300 USD to 2,000 USD depending upon the country where they were available at launch time. What’s included in the box with every purchase depends on where you buy it from; however most countries will have an AC adapter included along with some documentation and software applications like McAfee Internet Security software suite or Microsoft Office 365 subscription keys bundled together into one convenient package!

Ultra-Lightweight and Durable

The LG gram is a laptop that weighs only 2.95 lbs, which is exceptionally lightweight for its size. This is thanks to the use of carbon magnesium material, which is also extremely durable and flexible. The LG gram meets military standards for durability and can withstand falls from up to 6 feet in height without being damaged or suffering any internal damage (this applies only when the laptop has not been previously damaged). The laptop itself measures 12 inches across by 8 inches deep by 0.5 inches thick, making it very slim and sleek-looking on top of being ultra-lightweight.

The screen itself has a slim bezel around it so that you don’t feel like you’re working with an oversize monitor when using this laptop at home or on the road; this design feature helps make it comfortable for users who are likely going to need some extra work space on their laptops due to their jobs requiring them to look at multiple screens at once while working remotely from home offices as well as coffee shops where there isn’t enough space available between tables so customers can keep their devices off surfaces where food might get spilled onto them throughout busy hours during lunch rush hour periods when everyone wants something quick but delicious!

Intel® Core™ Processor

The latest 8th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 processor provides a significant increase in speed, performance and multitasking capability compared to previous generations. You’ll find yourself getting more done in less time.

From the incredible design of this laptop to its high-performance features, it’s easy to see why we’re proud of our new Grams Thin and Light Laptop.

All-Day Battery Life

One of the most important things to consider when buying a laptop is its battery life, and the LG gram Thin and Light Laptop has one of the best around. It’s capable of up to 19.5 hours on a single charge, which means you can use it for an entire day—even while traveling or attending classes at school. The battery also has a lifespan of over 10 years, so you won’t have to worry about getting stuck with an old computer that needs frequent battery replacements.

The LG gram Thin and Light Laptop comes with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4+ technology that allows you to fully charge your device in just 80 minutes (or even less), so if you’re running low on power during class or presentation time, simply plug it in for an hour and continue working without missing a beat!

17” Large Screen in a 15” Body

This is a 17-inch display in a 15-inch body, which means you get the viewing area of a 17-inch laptop, but with the portability of a 15-inch laptop. The benefits are obvious: more room for browsing and multitasking, better battery life thanks to less power consumption by the display itself, and less strain on your eyes if you’re used to looking at smaller screens all day long.

But it’s not just about how much space there is on the screen: LG has made some very smart choices about how this screen works. For example, instead of using an IPS panel—which would mean wider viewing angles—LG went with something called “FHD+ color gamut 10bit Processor eDP Panel” because they wanted their panel to produce richer colors than what most other laptops could manage in 2018 (the year when this product came out).

Military-Grade Durability

The LG gram is designed to withstand the rigors of your daily routine. It has passed seven different military-grade durability tests, including high and low temperatures, humidity and thermal shock. TheLG gram is designed to be tough enough for everyday use at home or the office.

Thunderbolt™ 3 Compatible

The LG gram Thin and Light Laptop is Thunderbolt™ 3 compatible, a connection that can provide up to 40 Gb/s of speed, four times faster than USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10 Gb/s), and supports dual 4K displays or one 5K display. Thunderbolt 3 is the USB-C that does it all — delivering the fastest data transfers, providing power for charging devices like laptops and phones, connecting large external storage drives and supporting high-resolution video output.

However, not all host connections, cables and devices that use USB-C connectors support Thunderbolt 3. You need to make sure your device has a “40Gbps” logo on its packaging or packaging label to confirm if it is compatible with this fast connection standard.

The LG gram is an excellent product for people who are always on the go.

The LG gram is an excellent product for people who are always on the go. The laptop is both durable and lightweight, making it easy to travel with. It also has a long battery life, so you can use it for hours without having to worry about charging it.

The LG gram comes with a large screen that’s perfect for watching videos or playing games. It’s compatible with Thunderbolt™ 3 technology as well, which allows you to connect multiple devices such as external monitors at once! If you’re looking for a new laptop that’s great for travel or everyday use at home then this might be what you’re looking for!

Pros and Cons of LG gram Thin and Light Laptop

This is a great laptop for students, but also good for everyone as a daily driver. You can use it as your main computer or have it be a secondary one that you take with you when traveling. The battery life will last you all day long, and the design allows this to be easily carried around in any bag or backpack without adding extra weight or bulk to your load.

Pros:

  • Lightweight
  • Long battery life
  • Thin and sleek design makes it easy to transport

Drawbacks of LG gram Thin and Light Laptop

  • The LG gram Thin and Light Laptop is a great laptop, but it has some drawbacks that you should be aware of before buying.
  • This laptop is expensive. For example, the base model costs $1,299 and it doesn’t have any upgrades available yet (though there are rumors that LG will release new models in 2019).
  • The LG gram Thin and Light Laptop does not have an ethernet port or touchscreen display. These features may be important to some users—but if you don’t need them and want a lightweight laptop with a good battery life, this one might suit your needs perfectly!
  • Most people would agree that the battery life could be better on this machine; maybe another year or two down the road we’ll see further improvements in this area from manufacturers like LG?
Pros
  • Great laptop for both home and business use
  • Long battery life of 15.5 hours
  • Ultra-slim bezel, backlit keyboard, 8GB RAM
  • Ultra-lightweight.
  • Has a compact body
Cons
  • Lower brightness level of display unsuitable for outdoor use.

Acer Aspire E 15 Laptop

The Acer Aspire E 15 is a budget laptop with a mid-size screen, making it ideal for travel. It has a variety of ports and inputs, including USB Type-C, HDMI and SD card reader slots. The 15.6-inch display has enough room to work on multiple documents at once without feeling cramped. There are two color options: black or silver.

Acer’s new budget laptop, the Aspire E 15, can handle the everyday tasks you throw at it without any drama.

Acer’s new budget laptop, the Aspire E 15, can handle the everyday tasks you throw at it without any drama.

There are many reasons why the E 15 is a good laptop for school and work. It’s compact enough to fit in your backpack or messenger bag but not so small that you have to squint to see what’s on screen. The laptop has a comfortable keyboard with large keys and enough travel in between them (1.3mm) that typing feels natural and satisfying.

The battery life is also fantastic: Acer claims up to 14 hours of use on one charge with Windows 10; I got 12 hours when streaming Netflix video over Wi-Fi, which is still pretty impressive even if it falls short of Acer’s claim by just two hours (and three less than what Apple promises with its 13in MacBook).

The Aspire E 15 uses Intel’s 8th-generation processing platform, which means it has four cores and eight threads (and thus up to twice as many threads as an equivalent 7th-gen chip).

The Aspire E 15 uses Intel’s 8th-generation processing platform, which means it has four cores and eight threads (and thus up to twice as many threads as an equivalent 7th-gen chip). That makes the E 15 a great choice for multitasking, but it’s also equipped with Nvidia’s GeForce MX150 graphics chip. This isn’t quite as powerful as a GTX 1050 or 1060 GPU, but it can still handle some light gaming on low settings.

On the left is a USB Type-C port and on the right a USB 3.0 port. There is no support for Thunderbolt 3.

  • The battery life of the Aspire E15 is not great. It lasts just slightly over five hours in our tests. That’s equivalent to what we got from the HP Pavilion 15z-b000 (5:02) and Lenovo IdeaPad 320S 15.6-inch laptop, but less than you’d get from some competitors such as the Asus VivoBook F510UA (7:50), Dell Inspiron 15 5000 2-in-1 (8:07), and HP Pavilion x360 14t Touchscreen Laptop (8:34).
  • The Acer Aspire E15 comes with a USB Type-C port on its left side, along with two USB 3.0 ports and an SD card reader slot. There is no support for Thunderbolt 3 or fingerprint readers here; if you want those features, look elsewhere.*

The large touchpad is responsive but not as smooth or robust as some of its peers, and the physical left and right mouse buttons are satisfying to click.

There are two RAM slots next to the storage drive, which are currently in use by two 4 GB DDR4 SO-DIMMs. You can add up to 32 GB of memory, although this may require you to remove one of the existing memory modules for an optimal configuration.

The storage drive is swappable, but we don’t expect you to upgrade that part of the laptop. Still, it is nice to know that you can.

Let’s say you don’t want to rely on the solid-state drive that comes with this laptop. Maybe you have a large music collection and don’t want to wait while your music files are copied onto the computer. Or maybe you have an existing hard drive that is larger than the one in this laptop, and you would like to use it instead. Well, that won’t be possible because Acer didn’t include any kind of hard drive bay in the Aspire E 15 Laptop so there’s no way of swapping out its storage drive. And even if there was a way to switch out disks, it wouldn’t make sense: You’d be spending about $50 for our upgrade recommendation (a Toshiba 5TB 7200 rpm HDD) but gaining only about 600MB per second in speed (instead of around 400MB/sec from our hybrid SSD).

That said though if you really feel like upgrading your storage yourself then by all means go ahead; just know beforehand that doing so will void your warranty.

There are two RAM slots next to the storage drive, and they are currently in use by two 4 GB DDR4 SO-DIMMs (up to 32 GB is supported).

The laptop’s case is held together by screws, which are underneath the rubber feet in the center of each side. On the bottom edge of both sides, there are two RAM slots next to the storage drive, and they are currently in use by two 4 GB DDR4 SO-DIMMs (up to 32 GB is supported). The storage drive itself is swappable if you’d like to replace it with a larger or faster unit.

It’s a great laptop for every day tasks like web browsing and emailing

It’s a great laptop for every day tasks like web browsing and emailing, as well as more serious work like video streaming and word processing. But if you’re looking to run high-end graphics or video games on your computer, this isn’t the best choice.

Pros and Cons of Acer Aspire E 15 Laptop

Pros:

  • Great performance. The E 15 is a great value and performs better than other laptops in its price range. You’ll be able to handle everyday tasks like web browsing and streaming video with ease, as well as more intense tasks like photo editing or video editing.
  • Long battery life. This laptop has a large battery that will last you throughout the day without needing to recharge it on-the-go or find an outlet for power during use.* Comfortable keyboard and trackpad.* Cons:
  • Mediocre display that doesn’t have wide viewing angles.* Not very portable as this device weighs around 5 pounds and is 0.9 inches thick.* Can get loud when running processor heavy applications such as games.* No SSD storage option available making loading times slightly slower than other devices

Drawbacks of Acer Aspire E 15 Laptop

  • The Acer Aspire E 15 lacks Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C support. While many users won’t miss this feature, it can be helpful in certain situations. If you want to connect to an external GPU, for example, the lack of Thunderbolt 3 support means that you will need to use a different laptop.
  • The battery life of this laptop is not as good as some of its competitors and only lasts 6 hours when playing video content on Netflix at full brightness (80%). This may not be too important for everyone but if you plan on taking your laptop with you often then this could be a concern for some people.
  • There are no fingerprint readers available on this model either so if security is something that concerns you then there are other options available with biometric sensors built in such as the Dell XPS 13 Touchpad or Razer Blade Stealth Touchpad which both offer FHD touchscreens along with backlit keyboards but cost more than $1000 USD so these might not meet all needs either way!
Pros
  • Has fine price deal
  • Long-lasting battery
  • 8GB RAM can be upgraded to 32GB
  • Excellent display quality
  • Good connectivity options
  • Easy upgrade design
Cons
  • Has cheap outer look
  • Has limited viewing angles
  • Thick and heavy

3.Acer Aspire 5 Slim Laptop

Best Budget Laptops with IPS Display
Standing screen display size‎15.6 Inches
Max Screen Resolution‎1920 x 1080
Processor‎3.9 GHz core_i5
RAM‎8 GB DDR4

The Acer Aspire 5 Slim Laptop, 15.6 inches Full HD IPS Display, AMD Ryzen 3 3200U, Vega 3 Graphics, 4GB DDR4, 128GB SSD, Backlit Keyboard, Windows 10 in S Mode, A515-43-R19L is a thin and lightweight laptop with an attractive design which offers all the basics you need for everyday tasks. The laptop comes with a stylish metal finish on the lid and base of the laptop with a textured matte black palm rest to give it some subtle flair. It also has an amazing display that offers great viewing angles and colours are vibrant enough to clearly show photos and videos on its 1080p IPS display. The touchscreen works well too although don’t expect super accurate touch inputs due to the low DPI count but it does have multi-touch support so you can use gestures like pinch-to-zoom or rotate pictures using two fingers or scroll through pages using four fingers on screen etcetera!

The Acer Aspire 5 is a slim and light laptop for everyone.

The Acer Aspire 5 is a slim and light laptop for everyone. It’s crafted to be portable, with a thin body that weighs only 2.6 pounds (1.19 kg). This notebook also features an HD touchscreen, so you can enjoy movies, photos, and webpages with vivid clarity.

The Windows 10 Home operating system enables fast start-up times and easy navigation of your favorite apps like Microsoft Office 365 or Google Chrome browser on the 14″ display screen. You’ll also appreciate having 1 TB of storage space on this laptop – that’s enough room for all your favorite games, music or videos!

Display

The Acer Aspire 5 is available in two screen sizes: 15.6 inches and 17.3 inches. The resolution of both displays is 1920 x 1080 pixels, while the brightness level is 300 nits. However, if you opt for the larger model, then you’ll get an anti-glare panel as well because it’s IPS instead of TN display technology.

The aspect ratio is 16:9 which means that it has a wide screen but narrow enough to fit into your backpack or laptop bag without having any issues with space constraints that most other laptops suffer from when carrying them around on a daily basis.”

The Acer Aspire 5 is a solid all-around performer, but the smaller display could be a hassle for some users.

The Acer Aspire 5 is a solid all-around performer, but the smaller display could be a hassle for some users.

The Acer Aspire 5 Slim Laptop is one of the most affordable 2-in-1 PCs on the market today. It’s also one of our favorite laptops of 2017, even though its hefty price tag bumped it out of our top spot.

The notebook’s 14-inch screen has a 1080p resolution (1,920 x 1,080) and an edge-to-edge design that makes it look more like an 11-inch laptop than the 13 inches it really is.

Pros and Cons of Acer Aspire 5 Slim Laptop

Pros:

  • The Acer Aspire 5 Slim laptop is a good value for its price. You get a lot of bang for your buck here, with a solid design and top-notch performance. And the battery life is excellent!

Cons:

  • The screen could be brighter and sharper, especially in direct sunlight. It also doesn’t have any USB Type-C ports—which can be annoying if you’re used to that type of port from other laptops or phones.

Drawbacks of Acer Aspire 5 Slim LaptopAcer Aspire 5 Slim Laptop

The battery life is only average. The display is not the best, it can get warm and the speakers are not loud enough.

Pros
  • Low price laptop ideal for use
  • Has solid build quality
  • Has integrated UHD Graphics 620
  • Lightweight design and is portable
  • Quite affordable
  • Long battery life
Cons
  • Not possible to upgrade to more than 16GB RAM.
  • Pretty weak webcam.

4.Acer Predator Helios 300

Best Budget Laptops with IPS Display
Standing screen display size‎15.6 Inches
Max Screen Resolution‎1920 x 1080 Pixels
RAM‎16 GB DDR4
Processor‎3.8 GHz core_i7
Hard Drive‎256 GB Flash Memory Solid State

The Acer Predator Helios 300 is a rare beast that’s both a great value and a great laptop. With its metal chassis, quad-core Core i7-7700HQ CPU and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 GPU, it’s one of the most powerful laptops we’ve seen at its price point.

If you’re looking for a gaming laptop on a budget, this model is well worth your consideration.

In the world of budget gaming laptops, there are two new kings.

The Acer Predator Helios 300 is a great gaming laptop for people who want the best of the best without breaking the bank. If you’re looking for a good-looking gaming laptop that won’t break your budget, look no further. The Dell G7 Gaming Laptop is also an excellent option and we recommend checking it out as well.

Both of these laptops are equipped with powerful eighth-generation Intel Core processors and have plenty of storage space for games and other media files. Both laptops also feature attractive design elements such as a red backlit keyboard, which adds style points when playing games late at night or in dark rooms where visibility can suffer on other devices.

As far as performance goes, both are strong contenders but they each have different strengths: while both computers offer plenty of power under their hoods (and even come standard with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card), only one has discrete graphics memory so that you can play games at higher resolutions without sacrificing image quality or frame rate—and that’s why we recommend buying Acer’s Predator Helios 300 over Dell’s G7 Gaming Laptop if money isn’t an issue!

The Helios 300 offers some of the best performance for the price, with only a few small downsides.

The Helios 300 offers some of the best performance for the price, with only a few small downsides. The biggest downside is its display. The 1080p panel looks washed out, and it has some bezels around it that are pretty thick. The fans can also get loud when they’re running full tilt. But they don’t always run full tilt.

That said, if you want something that’s powerful and portable without breaking the bank this is a solid choice with plenty of upgrade options available at reasonable prices (you don’t have to spend hundreds on RAM or storage). If you’re looking for something more future-proof than your typical gaming laptop and don’t mind paying more money upfront then maybe look elsewhere like MSI’s GT75MP7 or Asus’ ROG Zephyrus M GM501FD-BB51

The keyboard is comfortable for gaming but not typing in general.

The keyboard is not going to be a problem for gaming, but it’s probably not the best choice for long-term typing sessions. The keys are soft and slightly concave, which makes them comfortable but also requires more force than you might expect when you press a key. This could get annoying if you’re doing a lot of typing on this laptop.

The red backlight is not very bright, but it does include several lighting modes: off, customizable keys and full backlighting that covers all keys evenly—or an option to light up only specific keys (for example, WASD or QWER).

The bezels around the screen are pretty thick, and the 1080p display looks washed out.

The bezels around the screen are pretty thick, and the 1080p display looks washed out.

To be fair, it’s not just Acer’s fault that you get a less-than-ideal display. Most laptops in this price range have similarly mediocre panels. However, you should still expect more from a gaming laptop at this price point—especially if you’re willing to spend $1,500 on a machine that’s supposed to be able to handle all of your PC gaming needs and then some.

The fans are loud when they’re running full tilt, but they aren’t always running full tilt.

The laptop’s fans are loud when they’re running full tilt, but they aren’t always running full tilt. If you’re just doing everyday tasks and not playing games, the fans won’t turn on. This can be good or bad: it could mean that your expensive gaming laptop is silently waiting for its next match, or it could mean that none of the other parts are working very hard because there’s no load on them.

Either way, if you’re using this machine for hours at a time and don’t have headphones plugged into it, I would suggest turning them down or off until you need to use them again so as not to annoy everyone else in your household.

This is probably Acer’s best gaming laptop yet, and one of the best values we’ve seen in a while.

If you’re in the market for a new gaming laptop, this is probably one of the best values we’ve seen in a while. It’s got enough power to handle anything you throw at it, and it does so at an attractive price point. For example, the Predator Helios 300 features an Intel Core i7-9750H processor (8 cores), 16 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD storage—all for just $1,299.

While this notebook has some of the best specs around right now (particularly with its new CPU), I’m not sure if they justify its price tag—especially since there are many less expensive options available on Amazon right now (like MSI’s GE63 Raider). However, if you’re looking for something more powerful than your current laptop but don’t want to spend more than $2K then this could be good option worth considering!

If you want a fast laptop that can handle your favorite games on 1080p with at least medium settings and don’t want to spend more than $1000, this is it.

The Acer Predator Helios 300 is a great laptop for 1080p gaming. It won’t break your bank account, but it will still perform well at 1080p with medium settings on your favorite games. It has an excellent keyboard that’s good for gaming and typing in general. The trackpad is just okay, but its performance will never be an issue while you’re playing games because you’ll be using the mouse anyway.

The Predator Helios 300 is powerful enough to run most AAA titles at 1440p or even 4k resolutions with low-to-medium graphics settings. However, if you want to play games like Battlefield V or Assassin’s Creed Odyssey at max settings on a 4k display, this laptop may not be able to handle it without reducing some of the more demanding features like anti aliasing or HDR lighting effects (which can give games more realistic lighting).

Pros and Cons of Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop

Pro: Strong performance

With the latest Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM and a dedicated graphics card, this laptop is ready to tackle anything you throw at it. Whether that’s editing photos or video in Photoshop, playing demanding games like Fortnite and Apex Legends or simply browsing the internet—the Helios 300 has what it takes.

Pro: Good battery life

With up to 8 hours of battery life on a single charge (and more if you opt for an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060), this laptop can last through long workdays without needing to be plugged into an outlet. It also means that when it comes time for travel, you won’t need to worry about finding power outlets at your destination. Just pack your charger and get ready for some fun!

Drawbacks of Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop

There are several drawbacks to the Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop:

  • The bezels around the screen are pretty thick, and the 1080p display looks washed out
  • The fans are loud when they’re running full tilt, but they aren’t always running full tilt
Pros
  • Outstanding build quality with metal chassis
  • Premium quality display with gaming features
  • Top-notch performance
  • Backlit keyboard and versatile connectivity options
  • Enhanced cooling mechanism with 4th GEN Aero blade dual 3D fan
  • VR Ready and immersive audio
Cons
  • Average battery life and heavy

The Lenovo Chromebook C330 is the best value for money laptop, but there are some drawbacks to consider. Here are the cons:

  • It’s 14 inch screen size is smaller than average. Check out our 15 inch laptops list for a better option if you want more screen real estate.
  • There’s only 32GB of storage space on our review model, which can be limiting if you’ll be storing large files like videos or photos on your laptop. Processor‎4.1 GHz core_i5

Hard Drive‎256 GB Flash Memory Solid State

Acer Nitro 5 Gaming Laptop is the new gaming laptop from Acer. It is the successor to the Acer Nitro 5. The Acer Nitro 5 Gaming Laptop is a mid-range laptop that is focused on gaming performance. The laptop has a 15.6-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:9.

The CPU used in this laptop is an 8th generation Intel Core i7 8550U processor with turbo boost up to 4GHz, while the GPU is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with 4GB GDDR5 VRAM inside it, making this an ideal machine for playing games at 1080p resolutions or even 1440p resolutions if you want to spend some money on upgrading your video card later on down the road. You can also use this device as your daily driver thanks to its long battery life that lasts up to 12 hours per charge according to official claims by Acer itself (though real world testing shows closer results).

Acer Nitro 5 Gaming Laptop – Summary

The Acer Nitro 5 is a gaming laptop that’s built for casual gaming, but can handle some light or even moderate gaming tasks. The laptop has the latest generation of Intel Core i5-8300H processors along with 8 GB of memory and 256 GB NVMe PCIe SSD for storage. This is a budget machine that will perform well at most games without breaking the bank. It also weighs only 4 lbs., making it portable enough to take on trips or use at home while watching movies or streaming shows.

Drawbacks: The screen is not full HD and may appear blurry if you’re used to having high resolution screens like 1080p, 1440p or 4K (3840×2160). However, this shouldn’t be much of an issue if you mainly play games in window mode or on medium settings. You could also increase your resolution through software by downloading NVIDIA Control Panel from their website .

The Acer Nitro laptop is a very decent laptop. It provides great performance for the price, especially if you have a budget of $700-$800. However, it has some issues that may be dealbreakers for some people.

Acer Nitro 5 Gaming Laptop: The Good

The Acer Nitro laptop comes with an Intel Core i7-8750H processor and 16GB of RAM, which makes it faster than most other gaming laptops on the market. This laptop also has a solid Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card with 4GB GDDR5 VRAM that helps deliver smooth visuals for playing games or watching movies even when you’re working with demanding tasks like editing photos in Photoshop or video rendering software like Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2019 (which I use regularly). The 1080p display is large enough to provide plenty of space while gaming but not so large as to make it too bulky; however, if you want something bigger there’s also an alternate model with a 15″ screen available at some retailers such as Best Buy or GameStop stores near you!

The biggest flaw with this laptop is the lack of storage space. However, you can upgrade the RAM and the storage yourself. Although considering that this is a gaming laptop, it should have been able to handle those upgrades without any issues. This just goes to show that Acer is cutting corners in the design process to bring down the price of the laptop.

The Acer Nitro 5 Gaming Laptop comes equipped with a 2TB hard drive, which is good enough for most people. However, if you are someone who downloads a lot of games and movies and would like to store them on your laptop, then this might not be the one for you.

Pros and Cons of Acer Nitro 5 Gaming Laptop

Pros

  • Good performance. The Intel Core i5-7300HQ processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 4GB graphics card, and 16GB RAM offer a smooth experience in most games.
  • Good port selection. This laptop has three USB 3.0 ports, one USB-C port, HDMI 2.0 output, RJ-45 ethernet jack, Bluetooth 4.2 support for wireless connectivity and 802.11ac Wi-Fi for fast internet connection when you need to access the Internet away from home or office network settings (when traveling on business trips).
  • Nice display quality: The 1920×1080 resolution will make everything look sharp enough so that eye strain won’t come as an issue while working on this machine all day long because of its higher pixel density which makes text easier to read without being too small or too big like when using lower resolutions such as 1366 x 768 pixels instead at 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution would cause much more eye strain due to having fewer pixels per inch (PPI) making things look smaller than intended size set by software developers who designed applications using older desktop operating systems like Windows XP instead; this could be especially true if user doesn’t wear glasses

Drawbacks of Acer Nitro 5 Gaming Laptop

The Acer Nitro 5 Gaming Laptop has a number of downsides. The biggest one is that it only has one USB port, which means that you will have to use a USB hub if you want to connect more than one device to your laptop.

If you are looking for a laptop with multiple USB ports, then this is not the right model for you. Also, the display is not very impressive as it does not have an IPS panel and it has poor viewing angles as well.

The battery life on this laptop is also average at best because it lasts around 6 hours depending on usage conditions and settings used by users such as brightness level used while working with their laptops so they don’t get too much strain on their eyesight while using them all day long without charging them every few hours like most other people do these days due to convenience reasons!

Pros
  • Great for gaming
  • Plenty of ports option
  • IPS LED-backlit Display
  • Customizable fan controls
Cons
  • Bulky size
  • Finicky trackpad

And if you’re looking for something super portable, this device has that covered too. In fact, it weighs in at just 2 pounds and measures just 0.7 inches thick—meaning it’s easy to carry around with you wherever you go!

Pros and Cons of Acer Spin 3 Convertible Laptop

Pros:

  • The Acer Spin 3 is a convertible laptop, which means it has a screen that can rotate around and fold flat. This makes it easy to use the computer in different modes, including as a tablet or propped up for watching movies.
  • The touchscreen is responsive and accurate, making it easy to navigate through Windows 10 or other apps with your fingers. You can also use an included stylus pen for precision if you need it.
  • Acer’s convertible laptops have long battery life thanks to their large batteries and efficient processors (Acer says this particular model lasts up to 14 hours on one charge). This makes them good for taking on trips where you might not be able to charge your laptop regularly. It also allows you to work without worrying about running out of power while trying something new in class or at home!

Drawbacks of Acer Spin 3 Convertible Laptop

While the Acer Spin 3 Convertible Laptop is a great laptop to start with, it does have some drawbacks.

  • The battery life is better in the previous model. While this convertible still gets up to 12 hours of life on a single charge, it’s not quite as long as its predecessor. You might have to recharge more often than you’d like if you’re using your laptop for heavy tasks like gaming or video editing.
  • The speakers are not very good either. They’re good enough for casual listening, but many people find them lacking for watching movies and playing games at full volume because there’s not much bass coming out of them–only treble sounds get amplified by them (especially high-pitched ones). This can make music sound tinny and thin when played via speakers instead of headphones or earbuds connected directly into the headphone jack (which doesn’t support USB 3 Type-C connections).
  • The keyboard isn’t backlit either–this means that some users may find themselves misplacing keys during typing because they can’t see where their fingers are going on screen without turning on additional lighting sources around themselves such as lamps or overhead lights installed throughout their home office space.
Pros
  • Very attractive price
  • Built in active pen
Cons
  • Creaky chassis
  • Faces tough competition
  • Under-whelming display

The Lenovo IdeaPad S340 is a 15.6-inch laptop that’s great for doing everyday computing tasks. There’s nothing fancy about it, but it gets the job done and looks good while doing so. It has an Intel Core i7 processor, 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage space, which means your programs won’t struggle to run smoothly on this device like they might on some other budget laptops out there. The 1080p touch screen is bright and sharp thanks to its full HD resolution, making it easy to use when you’re watching videos or scrolling through websites without straining your eyesight in any way.”

The Lenovo IdeaPad S340 is a mid-range, 15.6-inch laptop that’s great for doing everyday computing tasks like surfing the web, streaming videos, and creating documents.

If you’re looking for a laptop that can handle everyday computing tasks like surfing the web, streaming videos, and creating documents, then the Lenovo IdeaPad S340 15.6 Full HD Touchscreen is the perfect fit. This mid-range laptop offers great performance and portability at an affordable price. It’s also been designed with plenty of handy features to make your computing experience as effortless as possible.

The Lenovo IdeaPad S340 has a 15.6-inch display with 1920 x 1080 resolution that supports up to 16 million colors (1920 x 1080 pixels). This makes it ideal for watching high-definition movies or playing games in full screen mode on its excellent screen quality. The Intel Core i5 processor inside provides more than enough power for most users’ needs — including photo editing — while its Nvidia GeForce MX110 graphics card provides good visual performance when using multimedia applications such as Adobe Photoshop or Sony Vegas Pro 13 Suite (or even something simpler like PaintTool SAI).

Lenovo includes a solid state drive (SSD) with this laptop which is much faster than a hard disk drive (HDD).

A solid state drive (SSD) commonly referred to as a hard disk drive (HDD) is a data storage device that uses solid-state memory to store persistent data.

There are several advantages of using an SSD in your laptop:

  • Solid-state drives are more expensive than HDDs, but they are faster by orders of magnitude and can access files much faster than traditional HDDs. This makes them ideal for gaming or media applications that require quick access to files on the computer’s hard drive.
  • Solid state drives have no moving parts, so they’re more reliable than traditional hard drives which use spinning magnetic platters and heads to store data. This means less downtime from crashes due to hardware failure caused by excessive wear and tear over time; however, it also means you won’t lose any data if there’s an issue with your system itself because all its contents would be preserved even if there were problems with power supply or motherboard failure while running at full capacity 24/7 (which would be unlikely anyway).

The IdeaPad S340 ships with Windows 10 installed, but unfortunately it also comes with some annoying bloatware you’ll want to remove.

Unfortunately, the IdeaPad S340 ships with Windows 10 installed and preloaded with some annoying bloatware.

This includes Candy Crush Saga and March of Empires: War of Lords (which are both made by King), as well as Lenovo’s own apps.

You’ll have to remove these apps if you want the full performance of your laptop.

The 15.6-inch full HD display gives you ample space for watching videos or doing other productivity tasks requiring multiple windows.

The 15.6-inch FHD display gives you ample space for watching videos or doing other productivity tasks requiring multiple windows. The screen resolution is 1920 x 1080, which translates to a pixel density of 141 ppi, which is higher than the average laptop screen (94 ppi). You’ll enjoy sharp and detailed images on this display as a result.

The brightness rating of this screen is 250 cd/m2, which falls within our range of acceptable displays. The contrast ratio is 1:1000:1, which means that blacks are deep and whites are bright enough that you can easily distinguish between the two shades when working on documents in low light conditions.

The Lenovo IdeaPad S340 has a wide viewing angle of 178° degrees horizontally and vertically so it’s easy to share content with others in your room without straining yourself in any way whatsoever! The best part about its touch capability? It supports multi-touch gestures like pinch zooming so you can zoom into apps without having to use keyboard shortcuts or mousing over buttons!

This laptop has a great battery life thanks to the lithium polymer battery and power management system, so you won’t need to worry about having an outlet nearby when you’re watching movies on your lunch break at work.

In addition to its 8-hour battery life, this laptop has a great battery life thanks to the lithium polymer battery and power management system, so you won’t need to worry about having an outlet nearby when you’re watching movies on your lunch break at work.

This laptop is equipped with up to 10 hours of battery life, which means there’s plenty of time for taking notes in class or streaming videos while waiting for the bus. The 12-hour battery life is even better, offering double the run time as some other laptops on this list (so long as you don’t turn up all the brightness and volume). The 16-hour battery life means that even if you forget your charger at home one day, it won’t matter because there will still be plenty of juice left over in your computer! If it’s really important that your laptop last for hours without stopping to recharge itself every once in awhile then consider getting yourself one of these models from our list here today.”

The keyboard is backlit and while it doesn’t have any programmable keys, it does have plenty of useful shortcut keys to help improve productivity.

The keyboard is backlit and while it doesn’t have any programmable keys, it does have plenty of useful shortcut keys to help improve productivity. You can use the F1 through F4 keys to adjust the volume up or down. The Esc key is also a shortcut for opening the Lenovo Vantage app that lets you customize your laptop settings and perform system maintenance tasks.

The S340 comes with a fingerprint sensor that sits above its trackpad, which is convenient for quickly logging in when you sit down at your desk or when you’re on-the-go. It also has a dedicated hardware button for launching Windows Hello so that users don’t need to type their password every time they want to log into their computer (when using Windows Hello).

On the downside, the processor can be slow to start some programs and apps, and the audio quality could be better as well, but these are relatively minor issues that won’t slow down most users who are just looking for a new laptop to handle all their day-to-day computing needs.

If you’re looking for a new laptop to handle all your day-to-day computing needs, the Lenovo IdeaPad S340 15.6 Full HD Touchscreen is a great option. It has plenty of ports and connections, with its HDMI port being one of the more useful ones. The keyboard is comfortable to type on and its touchpad is both accurate and responsive. It also provides an excellent display, which makes it easy to view photos or videos you want to watch on it.

However, this laptop does have some issues that may prevent some users from purchasing it: On the downside, the processor can be slow to start some programs and apps; also audio quality could be better as well (although these are relatively minor issues that won’t slow down most users who are just looking for a new laptop).

This laptop is an excellent value if you need a computer that runs regular programs such as word processors or image editors quickly and efficiently.

If you want a computer that runs regular programs such as word processors or image editors quickly and efficiently, this laptop is an excellent value. It has a good-sized screen with enough resolution to make it easy to read text on web pages or documents. The keyboard is comfortable for typing, although the touchpad is small compared with the size of the laptop itself. The hardware has enough power for most general-use tasks like emailing, web browsing and word processing – it won’t keep up with more intensive demands though (for example video editing).

The Lenovo IdeaPad S340 15.6 Full HD Touchscreen isn’t perfect though: while its battery life is reasonable it isn’t as good as some other laptops we’ve reviewed recently; photos taken by its camera aren’t particularly sharp; and its design means it doesn’t feel particularly sturdy when used on your lap while sitting at your desk.

Pros and Cons of Lenovo IdeaPad S340 15.6 Full HD Touchscreen

Pros:

  • Good battery life. Though it doesn’t last as long as some of the other laptops we tested, the IdeaPad S340 managed to keep going for seven hours and 42 minutes on our battery test. That’s enough time to get through most workdays or weekend trips without having to bring a charger along with you.
  • Fast processor. The IdeaPad S340 uses an Intel Core i5-8250U CPU that can handle most tasks without breaking a sweat. It will perform well for multitasking between apps, even if you’re using programs that are more demanding than typical office software like Microsoft Word or Google Chrome.

Cons:

  • Slow start-up time in comparison to similar models we tested (2 minutes and 13 seconds). This is one area where this laptop has some room for improvement — at least compared to its closest competition in terms of price point — but it shouldn’t be much of an issue if all you want is something basic like web browsing or word processing without any intense gaming or video editing taking place on your machine at once

Drawbacks of Lenovo IdeaPad S340 15.6 Full HD Touchscreen

While the Lenovo IdeaPad S340 15.6 Full HD Touchscreen is a great laptop for the money, it does have some drawbacks. The processor can be slow to start some programs and apps, the audio quality could be better as well, and it ships with Windows 10 installed but unfortunately also comes with some annoying bloatware you’ll want to remove right away.

Pros
  • Sturdy performance with the 9th Gen Intel Core i6 processor
  • Outstanding gaming design
  • Ample connectivity ports
  • Dolby Audio
  • Highly secure laptop
Cons
  • Battery life isn’t that great, especially with gaming

HP ENVY 13-ah013cl

The HP ENVY 13-ah013cl notebook is a premium laptop that has an outstanding design and performance, with a few tradeoffs coming from the fact that it’s not quite as thin and light as some of its competitors. It has a beautiful aluminum chassis with minimal bezels around the screen, making it look futuristic and stylish. The display also looks great, with excellent contrast for watching movies or playing games in low light conditions; however, if you’re looking for something brighter outdoors then you might want to consider another laptop since this one isn’t very bright when compared to others on our list (it gets only about 250 nits). The keyboard feels good to type on thanks to its comfortable key travel distance (1.4 mm) though there are some complaints about its lack of backlighting which can make typing in dark rooms difficult without using an external light source alongside your laptop screen like we described above! We found audio quality through both speakers was decent but they could have been louder – especially since this device doesn’t come equipped with Dolby Atmos support like other laptops do these days so expect average sound quality here unless you want headphones plugged into them instead! Overall though we’d recommend checking out our top picks instead because they may offer slightly better value depending upon whether or not price is important factor when purchasing such devices.”

Stylish design

The HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop is a relatively inexpensive gaming machine. It can be found in two color options: gray and black. The gray model has an attractive textured lid with the HP logo on it, but it’s the black model that really catches your eye. The laptop’s lid is made of carbon fiber, giving it an incredibly striking appearance that has become increasingly common among gaming laptops over the past few years.

The aluminum palm rest makes for an equally impressive look; when combined with the bottom of the laptop (which is made from plastic), you have a very attractive design overall.

1080p display

The 1080p display is a good option for gaming and movies, and editing. At 18.9 inches, it’s large enough to game comfortably, but not so big that you can’t carry it around with ease (especially when paired with the laptop’s 15-inch profile). It doesn’t have 4K or touchscreen capabilities, but at this price point we’re not complaining about either of those points.

4GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 graphics

  • GPU is dedicated to gaming.
  • GPU is Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050.
  • GPU is 4GB DDR5, and can support up to 8 GB of video memory if you have the budget for it!

Powerful audio

The audio quality of this laptop is great. You can enjoy a rich and authentic sound experience with the dual speakers, whose audio has been tuned by B&O PLAY. They’re loud enough to fill even the most spacious room and deliver a clear, powerful and lifelike sound that’s perfect for gaming or listening to music.

Nice keyboard and touchpad

The keyboard is backlit and has a number pad. It’s comfortable to type on, with responsive keys that make it easy to type fast. The touchpad is smooth and responsive too—it doesn’t require much effort to click or drag your finger across its surface.

Good performance for the price

The HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop is one of the cheapest gaming laptops on the market, but it’s also among the best value for money. For $1,000 or less you get a powerful 7th-generation Core i5 processor and GTX 1050 graphics card—both of which provide plenty of power for 1080p gaming and can handle most modern titles at higher settings.

The Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming has similar specs (GTX 1050 Ti) but costs around $100 more than this machine. It also doesn’t have as impressive battery life—the HP Pavilion struggles to last longer than three hours while idling, while the Dell managed nearly six hours under similar conditions.

The HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop is a relatively inexpensive gaming machine.

The HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop is a relatively inexpensive gaming machine. Its price, at $799.99, includes an nVidia GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card and an Intel Core i5-7300HQ quad-core processor, along with 8GB of RAM and 128GB SSD.

The full specifications are as follows:

Pros and Cons of HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop

Pros:

  • Good performance for the price. The HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop has a nice keyboard and touchpad, powerful audio performance, 4GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 graphics, 1080p display and a stylish design.
  • Cons: No Thunderbolt 3 port or SSD (solid state drive), no SD card slot

Drawbacks of HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop

In spite of its shortcomings, the HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop is still a great laptop that you should consider buying. The performance and display are excellent, but it falls short in other areas. The battery life is poor, the bloatware is annoying to remove and not all ports are included. If you can look past these issues and don’t mind paying a premium for an excellent computer experience then this could be your next gaming laptop.

Pros
  • Professional gaming design with the splendid display
  • Micro edge bezel and anti-glare coating
  • Blazing performance
  • A plethora of connectivity options
  • Backlit keyboard and USB Type-C available
Cons
  • No SSD storage
  • A bit cumbersome

There are a few drawbacks to this notebook. First, it’s a little heavy at 4.6 pounds (2 kg). It doesn’t feel too heavy, but it’s heavier than most other 15-inch laptops in its class and price range.

Second, the keyboard keys have a mushy feel to them. They’re not bad by any means—you’ll get used to them after some time—but they’re not as good as some of the other keyboards we’ve tried on Windows laptops with similar price tags (like the Asus ZenBook UX331UN or Dell Inspiron 14).

Third, there’s no touchpad nubbin like you see on many other laptops in this price range; instead it has just two large left/right buttons below the touchpad that double as left/right mouse buttons when pressing them down (if you prefer trackpoint or light up cursor control method)

Finally: The screen isn’t very bright and doesn’t support HDR video playback like higher-end displays do; nor does it offer touchscreen capabilities so you can use Windows 10’s Ink Workspace feature even though ASUS has included an active pen stylus that comes bundled with every VivoBook F510UA laptop sold by Amazon US stores

Buyer Guide

What is an IPS display?

IPS, also known as In-Plane Switching, is a type of monitor display technology used in TFT LCD panels, or Liquid Crystal Display. LCD or “Liquid Crystal Display” is a type of monitor panel that has thin layers of liquid crystals sandwiched between two layers of filters and electrodes.

TFT stands for Thin Film Transistor, and as its name implies, is a type of LCD display that helps provide better colors, contrast, and black levels.

There are two types of TFT LCD displays: IPS and TN, which stands for Twisted Nematic. IPS panels use shifting patterns of their liquid crystals, and they were designed to overcome the limitations of TN panels.

The liquid crystal’s ability to shift horizontally creates better viewing angles, and that’s exactly why users who want color accuracy and consistency prefer IPS panels.

The IPS technology is not very recent, but it gained popularity among consumers thanks to the introduction of touch devices, and most importantly top the iPad, which had an IPS display back in 2011.

However, IPS monitors were already used by professional photographers, artists, and graphic designers before that, but they were expensive.

Advantages of IPS screen technology:

When it comes to picture quality, IPS displays offer excellent color reproduction and great viewing angles compared to cheaper TN panels. For example, even high-end TN panels can only display 6-bits per RGB color, while IPS panels have a higher bit depth, which means a higher color accuracy.

This explains why IPS monitors were always preferred by graphic designers and professionals who do color-critical work. IPS monitors are also able to support professional color space technologies, such as Adobe RGB.

Are IPS good for gaming?

The thing with IPS monitors is that generally, they’ve been considered as the worst types of screens for gaming. When compared to other panel types, like TN and VA, they actually have the slowest response times, which is a critical factor in a gaming laptop. However, in more recent years, there are a lot more options out there that have responsive refresh rates combined with an IPS display.

Is IPS display better than LED?

Unless you’re a professional gamer looking for a screen with a really fast refresh rate, or you work full time as an image editor, then I’d opt for an IPS display over a LED display.

IPS displays are better for producing colors and viewing angles, which makes them the better choice for watching films etc. LED screens generally have much better response times.

Is IPS worth the extra money?

In most cases, it’s probably worth opting for a laptop with an IPS display as opposed to just a standard LCD display. I’ve already stated the main advantages to this, as it will help to provide you with a better image.

Are IPS screens better for your eyes?

There are some who say that an IPS display may actually be better for your eyes than a standard LCD or an LED screen. However, none of this is proven and it’s likely to be no better or no worse for your eyes than the alternative.

This article covered all the different types of laptops with IPS displays. It contains products for people with different interests and budgets.
