-Portability: when shopping for a new laptop, it is imperative to take into consideration their portability aspect. There are several options on the market – some laptops are heavier than others and less portable. Make sure you choose one that allows you to carry it around wherever you go and use it whenever necessary – whether at home or outdoors.

-Powerful processor: since you need your computer to run smoothly and efficiently, it should come with a powerful processor that allows for a fast operating speed.

8th Generation Intel Core i5-8250U Processor (Up to 3.4GHz)

The 8th Generation Intel Core i5-8250U Processor (Up to 3.4GHz) is a processor that has been released by the tech giant Intel. The 8th Generation Intel Core i5-8250U Processor (Up to 3.4GHz) is not merely a single processor, but rather it is an entire series of processors.

In fact, the 8th Generation Intel Core i5-8250U Processor (Up to 3.4GHz) includes many iterations and versions such as the 8th generation i5-8200Y, the 8th generation i7-8650U, and even the 9th generation i3-9100H up from 4MB to 12MB and even higher in some cases; this allows for more data processing operations by your computer at any given time, which results in faster performance overall

As you can see, there’s a lot going on with these processors but don’t worry as I will walk you through all of it so that you can understand what makes this series stand out over its competition

15.6″ Full HD (1920 x 1080) widescreen LED-lit IPS Display

  • The Aspire E 15’s display is a full-screen, 15.6″ Full HD (1920 x 1080) widescreen LED-lit IPS Display, meaning that you get stunning visuals no matter what you’re looking at: movies and video games will look vibrant and bright, while web surfing and photo editing on Adobe Photoshop will be clear and crisp.
  • The screen has an excellent contrast ratio of 100 million to 1 and can display up to 16.7 million colors on the screen at any one time, so it’s easy to see what you’re doing.
  • This is a touchscreen computer, which means that if you’d like to interact with your applications using your fingers rather than only the computer mouse, you can do so at any time.

NVIDIA GeForce MX150 with 2 GB of dedicated GDDR5 VRAM

NVIDIA GeForce MX150 with 2 GB of dedicated GDDR5 VRAM: A graphics card that’s good for gaming. If you are looking for an affordable gaming laptop, this is a good one to consider. This card can handle a lot of low-to-mid range games on medium settings.

8GB Dual Channel Memory & 256GB SSD

The Acer Aspire E 15 comes with 8 GB of DDR4 memory, and a 256 GB Solid State Drive (SSD). This is good for basic tasks like word processing and web browsing. The SSD gives you faster boot times, faster application load times, and better overall system performance, but it will not be enough to run heavy applications. If you plan on doing a lot of video editing or gaming, this computer likely won’t meet your needs. The good news is that the memory can be upgraded to 32 GB by opening up the bottom case and adding another SO-DIMM in each slot.

Up to 15-hours of battery life

It’s not easy to find a laptop with battery life that seems to live up to what it promises, but the Aspire E 15 doesn’t disappoint in this respect. It seems to perform as advertised, maintaining its charge even under conditions of heavy use. This is a somewhat uncommon trait among laptops and definitely one that deserves mention.

That being said, it is important NOT to expect your laptop battery life to be exactly the same every day. Even if you’re doing the exact same things on your computer from one day to the next, there are always factors like environmental temperature and whether or not you’re charging other devices through USB ports affecting how long your laptop will operate before needing a recharge.

pro and cons of Acer Aspire E 15 Laptop,

If you’re looking for a budget laptop that offers a lot of value, the Acer Aspire E 15 Laptop is one to consider. It has a 15.6-inch full HD screen, an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and 256GB SSD storage. That’s more than enough power for most daily computing tasks, such as web browsing and video streaming. The E15 also has great battery life and above-average audio quality.

The only downsides to the Acer Aspire E 15 are its poor build quality (the plastic chassis feels rather cheap) and its subpar keyboard. But if you can forgive these shortcomings, it’s hard to find a better budget laptop among our Best & Worst Brands report winners.

A laptop that is good for students and people who like the full-screen experience.

The Acer Aspire E 15 is a good laptop for students and people who like the full-screen experience. This is because it has a 15.6″ screen, which is considered “full-sized.” It may also be suitable for people who like big things, such as large dogs (e.g. Great Danes). However, it may not be suitable for people who like small things, such as miniature horses (i.e. ponies). You can use this laptop to do your schoolwork and play games at the same time, which is perfect if you’re the kind of person with spare time to do both those activities in parallel. Nevertheless, it’s important to keep your priorities in mind: if you need to prioritize schoolwork over playing games on this laptop, then you should definitely favor schoolwork first!

Drwabacks of Acer Aspire E 15 Laptop,

The machine is slow at times. If you are looking for a gaming laptop then this is not the one for you. Plus the battery life of this laptop isn’t that good (at least in my case). The laptop isn’t light-weight either, so it’s difficult to carry around. This makes the machine heavy and a little difficult to hold and move around with it.

To charge it back up or plug in other peripherals like headphones or a USB flash drive, you have two options: there’s the AC adapter that comes with the laptop and plugs into any wall outlet and there’s an included USB Type-C adapter too. That means if you don’t have an electrical outlet nearby, you can use another computer’s USB port to charge this HP notebook by way of this cable (although it will take longer).

pro and cons of HP ENVY 13-13.99 Inches Thin Laptop

Pros:

The HP Envy 13t hits the sweet spot in terms of price-to-performance ratio. In fact, it’s one of our favorite laptops for college students. You get a solid keyboard and touchpad, as well as nice speakers for listening to music during study breaks. The 1080p display is bright, but if you want more oomph, you can opt for a 4K panel. And on top of all that, the laptop lasts 8 hours on a charge, which is great considering the price tag.

Cons:

The 13t doesn’t have the sleekest design or comfiest keyboard around — but hey, they’re not bad either.

  • The only drawback is the battery life. The battery life is not good enough. It’s just not there yet.
  • Another drawback is the price tag, which comes with 4K screen resolution. But it’s really a premium laptop with a beautiful design and great performance and graphics that most people won’t regret buying.

3.Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 7th Generation Ultrabook

BrandLenovo
SeriesThinkPad X1 Carbon 7th Gen
Screen Size14 Inches
ColorBlack
Hard Disk Size512 GB
CPU ModelCore i7 Family
Ram Memory Installed Size16 GB
Operating SystemWindows 10
Card DescriptionIntegrated
Graphics CoprocessorIntel HD Graphics 620

Its X1 Carbon 7th Generation Ultrabook is a perfect example of what people want to see in a 2-in-1 laptop. If you are wondering how well the X1 Carbon does as a laptop, then this article will provide you with helpful information.

The seven-generation carbon fiber hybrid (X1 Carbon 7th Generation Ultrabook) features an 8th Gen Intel Core Processor that enables lightning fast responsiveness and performance for demanding business applications. It also comes with 14” WQHD display with HDR capability and Dolby Vision. You can now immerse yourself in true-to-life images and videos on the ThinkPad X1 Carbon 7th generation ultrabook.

The ThinkPad X1 Carbon 7th generation Ultrabook offers the best security features in its class to protect your data, like ThinkShutter—a physical camera shutter that puts you in control of what your webcam sees—and match on chip touch fingerprint reader so only you can log into your laptop.

Intel Core i7-8565U Processor

Processors are what drive most of the computer’s performance. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 7th Generation Ultrabook comes with an i7-8565U processor, which is a quad-core processor. Quad-core processors are good for multitasking and productivity, but they aren’t as efficient in single-threaded tasks like gaming.

The i7-8565U processor also has a TDP rating of 15W. This means that it uses less power than most other processors, which makes it great for laptops and ultrabooks since they run on battery power more often than desktops do.

16GB soldered RAM

You might remember that the ThinkPad X1 Carbon 6th generation had a 16GB soldered RAM, and only a 16GB RAM upgrade option. The fact that it had no soldered RAM meant that you were paying for two 8GBs of unsoldered memory (in effect, getting 32GB), but also made upgrading to 32 GB impossible. With the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 7th Gen Ultrabook, what you’ll have is just:

  • A soldered 16 GB of RAM
  • And an additional upgrade option of 16 GB

This means that while you can possibly use a total of 32 GB with a 2-slot configuration, you can only actually get up to 24GB, which isn’t exactly a good price-performance ratio.

512GB SSD M.2 2242 PCIe NVMe Opal2

The 512GB SSD M.2 2242 PCIe NVMe Opal2 is an important part of the package, especially if you’re going to transfer a lot of data.

However, 16GB DDR3 soldered RAM is not exactly what you’d expect in a laptop of this caliber.

The Intel UHD Graphics 620 is not compatible with WQHD, though it appears to be able to handle the 14 inch FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS display just fine. The screen itself is anti-glare and non-touch with 400 nits brightness.

Intel UHD Graphics 620

Integrated Intel® UHD Graphics 620

The Integrated Intel® UHD Graphics 620 supports up to 1.15 GHz and provides 64 MB of dedicated system memory. It also supports three independent displays, 4K resolution, high dynamic range (HDR), and DirectX* 12.

pro and cons of Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 7th Generation Ultrabook

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 7th Generation Ultrabook is a versatile laptop with a full-sized keyboard, strong performance, and a bright display. Some of the features that make this ultrabook stand out from its competitors include:

  • Ultra-thin design (it’s just 0.62 inches thick)
  • Intel Core i5 processor for excellent performance
  • Backlit keyboard for working in low lighting situations

While the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 7th Generation Ultrabook is an excellent choice overall, there are some drawbacks to be aware of as well. These include:

  • It doesn’t have a touchscreen
  • The trackpad is not very responsive and can sometimes be unresponsive

Do it now before price goes back up.

You have the power to decide when you will buy this laptop, and the simple truth is that there is no reason NOT to buy it right now. To repeat: You can literally go get your credit card out and order this laptop right now, if you want. It may be slightly different in a year, but not enough that it would be worth waiting longer than you need to.

In fact, if you are reading this as part of your research, it will probably cost less than it does right now. The price fluctuates a lot and often returns to its original level within a week or two after being on sale (I think someone has noticed how popular these laptops are becoming). In fact, the two times I bought one they were discounted by $215 and $450 respectively!

Drwabacks of Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 7th Generation Ultrabook

It is not perfect, though. It has a few downsides, including a hefty price tag that doesn’t match what you get in return. In the end, it is a great laptop with some minor inconveniences.

The fan makes noise at times, which means that it can potentially distract you from work at crucial moments. There’s no Webcam, either—a serious oversight for anyone who plans to use this laptop for video calls or conferencing. And because RAM isn’t upgradeable, you may find yourself wanting more of it down the road once your computer starts to slow down. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon can only be upgraded if you buy a new one and sell your old one.

If you’re still missing the right accessories or have questions about the technical specifications that come with this device, check out our FAQ section below!

pro and cons of Microsoft Surface Pro 7 – 12.3″

Now that you’ve had a chance to look at these features, let’s explore the pros and cons of Microsoft Surface Pro 7.

Pros:

  • Lightweight design makes it easy to carry in your bag without feeling weighed down on vacation or during your commute.
  • Enjoy great battery life so you can stay productive on long flights and for days when you don’t have time to charge up.
  • Fast processor means no annoying lags or hangs when performing intensive tasks like video editing and photo retouching.

Cons:

  • No Thunderbolt 3 port means limited connectivity options; however, there is one USB-C port which allows for some flexibility between devices like cameras or phones (depending on what they support).

This is the laptop version with a lot of added functionality

The answer is that it can work as a laptop or tablet, but it also has functionality beyond just those. It comes with Windows 10 (Windows 8 is available if you still want to live in the stone age), so the software and programs you’re used to will be right at home. Aside from being able to run whatever programs you want, this device can connect to multiple monitors at once, giving you the ability to multitask like never before—or simply enjoy a larger view of your digital world. This Surface model also gives you access to the Microsoft Store, where you can download additional apps for a truly personalized experience. For example, if you have an Xbox One, then using Xbox SmartGlass on this device opens up a new range of functionality that transforms your gaming experience. The bottom line? If there’s something out there that lets people do more than one thing at once without needing six hands, then this Surface Pro 7 should be able to handle it too.

Drwabacks of Microsoft Surface Pro 7

The Surface Pro 7 is an excellent 2-in-1, but it’s not a full-fledged laptop, as the keyboard and stylus are sold separately. Microsoft’s own Type Cover costs about $100 more than the base model of the Surface Pro. A stylus will set you back another $100 or so. That’s a lot to ask for a device that already starts at $749. On top of that, you’re still stuck with Intel Core m3 on the base model.

Using the Surface Pro 7 on its own as tablet is nice enough, but it can be a little unwieldy — even if you’re just watching Netflix in bed. At this price point, we’d expect better battery life than five hours and 15 minutes; while that runtime is fine for most people who use this machine primarily at home or in the office (with an AC outlet nearby), it feels lacking when there are tablets out there getting nearly twice as much juice for half the price.

This is the best display I’ve seen on a laptop, even compared to previous Dell laptops like the XPS 13 9300 which had IPS panels as well.

The picture quality is just stunning, thanks to its great viewing angles, low blue light and glare-free display with no flicker.

So what does this mean for you? It means it’s going to be easier for your eyes to look at the screen all day long and won’t get tired like they would on other laptops.

Drwabacks of New Dell XPS 15 9500 15.6 inch

The powerful and sleek Dell XPS 15 9500 is a great choice if you’re in the market for a new laptop, but there are some drawbacks that keep it from being perfect. It certainly won’t be the right choice for everyone. For example, many people might not need its high-end performance or may want a lower price tag.

If you’re someone who watches a lot of video on your laptop—be it Netflix, YouTube videos, or something else—you should know that the XPS 15 doesn’t have the same quality sound as other laptops. Its speakers are placed on either side of the keyboard instead of below the screen. This gives it thin sound that’s lacking in bass and depth. If you’ll rely heavily on your laptop speakers for entertainment, you may find this disappointing.

pro and cons of 2019 Apple MacBook Pro

Pros:

  • 16-inch Retina display with True Tone
  • Sixth-generation Intel Core i7 processor
  • Ultrafast SSD
  • Intel Iris Pro Graphics
  • Up to 4GB of dedicated VRAM
  • Two Thunderbolt 3 ports

A great computer.

The 2019 Apple MacBook Pro is a great computer. The new large screen, with rounded corners and a thin-ish bezel, looks sleeker than ever before. Its battery life is good, too, lasting up to 10 hours on a charge. And after several years of users complaining about the keyboard that came in past models, the company finally updated it for this year’s model.

The speakers are another highlight: They sound better than those of any laptop I’ve tested recently.

Overall, the design feels more mature and refined compared to previous generations of the MacBook Pro. Yet its price is still quite high compared to other laptops that offer similar performance — including some from Dell and HP with OLED screens that look just as pretty as the one Apple uses here.

Drwabacks of 2019 Apple MacBook Pro

First and foremost, let’s address the elephant in the room: this laptop is expensive. The model we’re talking about today is $2,399. If you want to outfit your new MacBook Pro with all of the bells and whistles, you could easily spend over $7,000 on the top-of-the-line model. You’ll be able to get a lot of laptops for that kind of money—like one for each day of the week. But here’s the thing: Your average bargain laptop isn’t going to be able to hold a candle to even an entry-level MacBook Pro in terms of power or design. This new MacBook Pro is Apple’s best yet, and it has set a high standard for laptops moving forward.

With that said, there are still plenty of reasons not to buy it—especially if you’re already happy with your current computer setup or have budget constraints that would make spending thousands on a new laptop prohibitively expensive.

Power of Intel® Iris Plus graphics

Just as the previous generation Spectre x360 13t was one of the first laptops to ship with Intel’s new 8th Gen quad-core Kaby Lake Refresh processors, this generational refresh is also the world’s first laptop to rock Intel’s new 10nm Ice Lake chips.

While on paper Ice Lake might not look like a huge leap in terms of raw CPU performance over Kaby Lake Refresh (you’re looking at around 5% more single-threaded performance and around 15% more multi-threaded grunt), what really sets it apart is its revolutionary new integrated GPU.

In place of the UHD Graphics 620 found in most other Kaby Lake chips sits Intel’s beefy new Iris Plus graphics platform, which offers up to 2x the graphics performance compared to last year’s models. And when combined with the Comet Lake architecture, you can expect faster AI processing and better gaming capabilities than ever before.

Ready for Windows Hello[1]

Microsoft account password has been hectic to create and maintain. With that said, great news is here; you can forget about remembering your password courtesy of Windows Hello. It is a secure sign-in option that includes biometric authentication with fingerprint and facial recognition or even iris scan.

It comes as an enhancement of user experience as well as give an added sense of security. To get started with it all you need is to use your face, fingerprint or iris to unlock the device all in an instant.[2]

Audio by Bang & Olufsen

This device features an integrated audio system that comes courtesy of Bang & Olufsen. There are four speakers and a 4 microphone array. The dual speakers and HP Audio Boost, along with Bang & Olufsen audio control, ensure the overall quality of your listening experience. For those who need to stifle the noise around them, HP Noise Cancellation is built in to all models of this device. If you’re not sure which sound is best for your needs at hand, HP Audio Switch will help you access different modes and settings with ease.

HP Command Center (Windows Only)

The Spectre x360 13t is equipped with a proprietary HP Command Center application, which lets you customize performance and fan settings to control the noise level. Customize your own fan curve with the app’s “Fan Mode” option, and set it to “Silent Mode” when you want to reduce the noise output.

HP Command Center allows you to monitor and control laptop performance (Windows 10 only). The thermal management software lets you configure the laptop for specific purposes (gaming, video editing, etc.) by tweaking system settings like power consumption limits, CPU frequency, fan speeds – an even turn on discrete graphics on some models. You can also use HP Command Center to reduce noise and power consumption.

Intel UHD Graphics with shared graphics memory

When you buy a computer, you usually don’t think about what kind of graphics it has. But having an Intel UHD Graphics with shared graphics memory can make a huge difference in how fast and efficiently your computer runs. Intel UHD Graphics are integrated graphics processors. They share memory with the system to run applications, improve battery life, reduce power consumption and reduce overall system cost for a great entry-level PC experience.

UHD stands for Ultra High Definition—which means this chip will let you watch movies and play games in stunning quality. It’s more powerful than HD Graphics but less impressive than Iris Graphics (see below). The Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Premium PC Laptop uses Intel UHD 620 graphics, which is the latest version of this popular processor for laptops. This chip offers slightly better performance than HD 620 chips, which are commonly found in laptops that cost the same as this one — around $500.

A great laptop with lots of memory and battery life

We love how this laptop is so quiet! The battery life is also very good. It has a really good screen quality and is very fast, responsive, and light. The laptop looks really good, too. Moreover, the price of this laptop is great! We love the keyboard and trackpad—they are quite comfortable to use. There’s a lot of storage too, as well as a decent graphics card and lots of RAM (especially for its price!). Lastly, the WiFi on this device works perfectly fine.

Drwabacks of 2020 Newest Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Premium PC Laptop

The laptop’s list of drawbacks continues with less than ideal battery life, an underpowered graphics processor and a rather dim display.

The battery life is not too impressive. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. The Inspiron 15 5000 lasted just 3 hours and 30 minutes on our battery test (continuous web surfing over Wi-Fi). This is just about half as long as the ultraportable average (6:30) and much shorter than the Dell XPS 13 (7:20).

The GeForce MX150 GPU isn’t particularly powerful for gaming. When I played Dirt 3 at 1080p resolution, the notebook matched 30 frames per second, but when I turned up all the settings to maximum, that rate dropped down to 18 fps. The MX150 is an entry-level graphics card so it can play titles like Rocket League at playable rates of 45 fps, but don’t expect to play any graphically intensive games like Witcher III above 20 frames on this computer.

The 1920 x 1080 touch screen doesn’t get very bright — at just 254 nits — and its color coverage was unimpressive as well. The panel reproduced an OK 87 percent of the sRGB color gamut in our testing, which is below both the mainstream laptop average (97 percent) and premium laptop average (128 percent).

pro and cons of LG Gram 17Z90N Laptop 17″

Display

The 17-inch display on the Gram is a pleasure to look at. The 2560 x 1600 panel is sharp, with vivid colors and deep blacks. Watching the Justice League trailer on the notebook’s screen offered a treat for my eyes as the heroes took turns showing off their flashy superpowers, while Aquaman’s Trident looked especially sharp in its gleaming silver finish. When I watched a trailer for HBO’s Watchmen, I could make out every little detail of Regina King’s gold face mask and black leather suit as she floated through a blizzard of police gunfire.

The LG Gram 17Z90N Laptop 17″ covers 128% of the sRGB color gamut (100% is typical), which narrowly beats the ZenBook Pro Duo (119%), but falls short of both Surface Book 2 15-inch (136%) and MacBook Pro 17-inch (141%).

At 444 nits, LG Gram 17Z90N Laptop 17″ display has plenty of brightness, nearly matching that of ZenBook Pro Duo (448 nits). It’s much better than what we’ve seen from both MacBook Pro 15-inch (307 nits) and Surface Book 2 15-inch (441 nits).

Performance

The LG Gram’s Core i7-8565U CPU proved snappy throughout my testing. With 25 tabs open — including one streaming Hitman 2 gameplay footage in 1080p and another streaming an episode of Last Week Tonight — I didn’t see any lag or choppiness when switching between tabs or jumping between apps.

The LG Gram 17Z90N Laptop is light enough to take anywhere, and big and powerful enough for complex projects.

It’s light enough to take anywhere, and big and powerful enough for complex projects. The LG Gram 17Z90N Laptop has a 17-inch display with a 2560 x 1600 resolution, 2.5GHz Intel Core i5-10210U processor (quad-core), Intel UHD Graphics 620, 8GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB SSD storage, 1x USB Type-C port (for charging), 2x USB 3.1 ports and an HDMI connection.

Drwabacks of LG Gram 17Z90N Laptop 17″

While the LG Gram 17Z90N Laptop is light enough to take anywhere, and big and powerful enough for complex projects, it only has a 1080p display. If you’re watching movies or really want great color accuracy and contrast, it may not have enough resolution for you. It does have an incredibly sharp text that many people like for reading though!

The LG Gram 17Z90N Laptop also has a few drawbacks — its keyboard is shallow, its touchpad is small at 3-by-1.5 inches and its webcam leaves something to be desired.
