The Dell XPS15. It’s a computer that you’ve probably heard of and wondered if it was worth the hype. And I really think it is. When I made my purchase decision for a new laptop back in January, it took me over three months to finally decide on this one. And I can confidently say that I am extremely pleased with my purchase!

Now, this doesn’t mean this is the best computer for everybody out there. But maybe it could be! So let’s get into some of the details and see if we find a good fit together!

Dell XPS 15 – 15 Inch FHD+, Intel Core i7 10th Gen, 16GB Memory, 512GB Solid State Drive, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti 4GB GDDR6, Windows 10 Home (Latest Model) – Silver

I’ve been waiting for this laptop to come out and finally pulled the trigger and got it. Previously I had the 9570 which was my first XPS 15. The build is incredible, feels a lot more sturdy then my previous model (9570). The screen is beautiful and bezels are even slimmer than before. It’s thinner as well, but heavier. Mine also has no annoying coil whine like some people have reported. I am able to play any game on max settings with ease so far and get an average of 60fps on most games at 4k resolution. Does run hot sometimes but usually never above 85C (keeping in mind this thermals are taken from multiple monitoring software) .

Overall great laptop if you can afford it!

The 15.6-inch FHD (1920 x 1200) InfinityEdge Anti-Reflective Non-Touch 100% sRGB 500-Nits Display on the Dell XPS 15 is one of the best displays to appear on a laptop. The 1920 x 1200 resolution is more than enough, even for complex tasks that require excellent detail. The non-reflective panel ensures that you can use the laptop without any hindrance in bright sunlight. The overall picture quality is also great and has a more natural color tone compared to other laptops in its price range.

The Thunderbolt 3 port allows you to connect quickly and easily to various devices.

However, using the USB Type-C ports means you need adapters for VGA, HDMI, and USB-A connections.

This laptop does not come with a Dell Adapter (sold separately), so unfortunately you’ll have to order one from the website.

Even when everything is plugged in properly, it can be difficult to use this system due to its complicated setup.

2.Microsoft Surface Pro 7

SeriesSurface Pro
BrandMicrosoft
Generation10th Generation
Screen Size12.3 Inches
Operating SystemWindows 10 Home

The Microsoft Surface Pro 7 is a 12.3-inch 2-in-1 laptop that can be used as a tablet or laptop, with an optional stylus. If you know anything about the Surface Pro 6, this new device won’t be much of a surprise to you. The only change here is the addition of Intel’s 10th generation Ice Lake processors, which offer a modest performance boost over the last version. Despite that and some other small changes on the inside, at first glance the Surface Pro 7 looks exactly like its predecessor in every way except for one detail: it has no USB-C port, no Thunderbolt 3 port, no microSD card slot, no fingerprint sensor, and no 4G LTE option.

And even though there are several laptops out there with USB 4.0 ports (and even though it would have been easy to add one here), this thing doesn’t have any either! As such, it’s not hard to see how this could be viewed as disappointing to many people—especially because Microsoft has long pushed the Surface Pro as an excellent road warrior machine.

The Surface Pro 7 is the most powerful Surface laptop yet, with an Intel 10th Gen Core processor and up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage.

If you want a less powerful but still solid option, the i5-1035G4 model is $899. It has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD storage. Or if you want to go in the other direction, this machine can pack up to an Intel Core i7-1065G7 with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage.

It is a 2-in-1 that lets you use it as a tablet (with optional pen) or a laptop (with optional keyboard).

The Surface Pro 7 is a 2-in-1 that lets you use it as a tablet (with optional pen) or a laptop (with optional keyboard). In Tablet Mode, the screen is like any other tablet. You can do virtually anything you’d do on an iPad with your finger, but some things are easier with a stylus (the altnerative name for the Surface Pen). In Laptop Mode, well, you’ve seen laptops before. It’s the same thing. In Studio Mode, you stand up the kickstand on the rear of the device and put it in landscape orientation. The keyboard folds over to cover up part of the display. This is good for drawing apps like OneNote and Sketchable that can handle an input device that covers part of your work area.

In View Mode, you tilt back the kickstand so that it’s nearly vertical and put it in portrait orientation. This is perfect for reading content like ebooks or articles online; it feels more natural than swiping around text on a screen (it’s also better than printing out all those pages).

The 12.3-inch display has one major change from previous models, which is the option for USB-C.

The Surface Pro 7’s 12.3-inch display is the same size and resolution as it was on the Pro 6, with a 3:2 aspect ratio that makes it better for reading and web pages than 16:9 displays. It’s bright and colourful, with excellent viewing angles.

Microsoft’s excellent pressure-sensitive pen is sold separately, but if you want to take notes or sketch on your Surface Pro 7, it’s well worth the investment.

The USB-C port can be used to connect that cable for charging, but you can also send data, video and audio using the new port.

You can use the USB-C port on the Pro 7 for charging. But you can also send data, video and audio using this new port.

As a quick recap of what USB-C is all about: It’s a new type of USB (universal serial bus) connector that delivers power, data and video to and from devices like laptops, phones chargers and accessories. The USB-C is used by many laptop makers including Apple, which uses it on its MacBook laptops. It’s also used by Samsung on its phone products.

The cool thing about the reversible connector — which is a bit smaller than previous generations of “full-size” USB ports — is that you don’t need to worry about plugging it in the wrong way since there isn’t an upside down direction for the plug.

With the new 10th Gen Intel processors, the Surface Pro 7 has a huge jump in power over its predecessors.

The Surface Pro 7 is the first Microsoft 2-in-1 to get Intel’s new 10th Gen processors. This means plenty of power and performance improvements over the previous version as well as a significant increase in battery life.

You can choose between an Intel Core i3, i5 or i7. In our review, we tested the mid-range model with a Core i5 processor. It features four cores (the Core i3 has two cores and the Core m3 two cores with HyperThreading) which will let you do more at once without any issues. The entry level processor is still powerful enough for everyday tasks like browsing the web, watching videos and writing reports, while the more powerful models let you do even more demanding tasks like editing HD videos or playing some games at medium settings.

The biggest improvement over last year’s model is that now all models are fanless, meaning they run silent even under heavy use. That’s because both the higher end processors feature lower TDP (thermal design power), which makes them more energy efficient so they don’t generate as much heat when performing tasks.

Pros and Cons of Microsoft Surface Pro 7

CONS

  • Thick bezels
  • No SD card slot
  • No USB-A port
  • No Thunderbolt 3
  • No built-in LTE
  • No fingerprint sensor or facial recognition for biometric security (although you can use Windows Hello with the 1MP front webcam)
  • Limited configuration options, including display and storage size, RAM, and processor speed. (Upgrade options are available at Best Buy.)

PROS

The Microsoft Surface Pro 7 comes with a 12.3-inch PixelSense touch screen display with 2736 x 1824 resolution. The tablet has a 10th generation Intel Core i3 dual core processor, which runs at 1.1GHz base frequency and boosts up to 3.4GHz. It also features 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage space for your files, pictures, videos and apps—it’s even expandable via the integrated microSD card reader!

Drawbacks of Microsoft Surface Pro 7

  • The biggest drawback of the Surface Pro 7 is its relatively modest performance. The tablet is using Intel UHD graphics, which is not great for gaming or video editing. The base model of the tablet comes with an Intel Core i3 processor and 4GB RAM, which we would consider underpowered compared to other tablets in this category. You should plan on spending extra for a model with at least 8GB of RAM if you want to multitask as much as possible.

3.Acer Aspire E 15

BrandAcer
Specific Uses For ProductBusiness, personal
Screen Size15.6 Inches
Operating SystemWindows 10 Home
Human Interface InputTouch Pad
CPU ManufacturerIntel
Card DescriptionIntegrated
ColorObsidian Black
Hard Disk Size1000 GB

The Acer Aspire E 15 is the best laptop I’ve ever used, and the best laptop you can buy for the money. Excluding business laptops that are generally more expensive, this is a first-class product at a great value.

I don’t say this lightly. I’m not paid to say it or hype it up—my words are driven by my experiences with the Aspire E 15. It’s simply an excellent product, and I have no reservations giving it a top recommendation for anyone looking for an affordable yet fully capable laptop.

8th Generation Intel Core i5-8250U Processor (Up to 3.4GHz)

The 8th Generation Intel Core i5-8250U Processor is one of the first ones to include four processor cores, which means you won’t see any hiccups in your workflow. It operates at a 1.6GHz base frequency, which can boost up to 3.4GHz when you need some extra power. It also has 6MB of cache so it can pull important information from memory quicker than some other processors.

15.6″ Full HD (1920 x 1080) widescreen LED-lit IPS Display

Acer Aspire E 15 Laptop, 15.6″ Full HD (1920 x 1080)

The product’s display is 1920 x 1080 pixels in resolution, with a full high definition resolution at the 1920 pixel mark and an aspect ratio of 16:9. The Acer Aspire E 15 also has a widescreen LED-backlit IPS display. IPS stands for in-plane switching, which refers to the technology used to create the screen’s larger viewing angles. For example, if you were to watch a movie on one of these monitors and stand directly in front of it, you would be able to see just as much of the screen from any given angle as you would standing directly in front of it. Additionally, because this Acer Aspire E 15 model uses an LED backlight instead of a CCFL one, you can expect improved color accuracy and better performance when viewing your computer from an angle.

8GB Dual Channel Memory & 256GB SSD

Acer Aspire E 15 Laptop, 15.6″

The Acer Aspire E 15 is a laptop that has everything you need for everyday use and some extras to sweeten the deal. It might not have the most powerful hardware components, but it’s lightweight and compact, with a good build quality and a nice keyboard for typing or gaming. The screen is also one of its best features, as it supports touch and pen input as well as an excellent resolution for such a small and light machine. Overall, this is a great laptop for basic computer needs that should be suitable for all but especially those wanting something to use from home on the couch or in bed.

Up to 13.5-hours of battery life

Up to 13.5-hours of battery life lets you enjoy uninterrupted productivity, entertainment and communication. It charges quickly, too — up to 80% in just one hour.

Windows 10 Home

You can do so much with Windows 10 Home. With Cortana enabled, you can use voice commands to open games, search the web, play music and more—just ask. You will also have access to Microsoft Edge, an all-new browser that makes online shopping, research and browsing better than ever.

Also, you will love the built-in security features which help safeguard you against viruses, phishing and malware. You’ll be able to browse confidently with a PC thats up-to-date on the latest threats.

Enhanced viewing with true color brings your photos and videos to life in rich detail; a new desktop scanner lets you scan documents right in Windows; and Microsoft Edge is an all-new browser built to deliver a better web experience.

NVIDIA GeForce MX150 with 2 GB of dedicated GDDR5 VRAM

If you are looking to play games, then the NVIDIA GeForce MX150 with 2 GB of dedicated GDDR5 VRAM will do a good job. It’s not particularly strong, but it’s more than enough for casual gaming and watching HD videos. Just don’t expect to be playing AAA titles like Far Cry 5 on high settings.

pro and cons of Acer Aspire E 15 Laptop, 15.6″

PROS –

  • The Acer Aspire E 15 is an affordable laptop that has a great price/performance ratio and is one of the cheapest laptops with these specs.
  • A lot of storage for the price (1TB HDD), which makes it a good choice for someone who wants to store their pictures, music and movies on their laptop.
  • 8GB of RAM allows you to multitask between two different programs without the laptop becoming slow or unresponsive.

CONS –

  • The fan can be noisy when doing something CPU intensive (e.g playing games or editing videos).
  • The touchpad is small.

Cheap laptop with a great price/performance ratio

For those in search of a cheap laptop that still performs decently, this model is a particularly good choice. Price-to-performance ratio is a useful measure for comparing value between competing products and making decisions about what to buy. This particular model from Acer has an excellent price-to-performance ratio, as it offers good performance at a low cost.

Battery life

It’s not like a car, where you can just fill it up with gas and be on your way; if you don’t know what the battery life is before you buy a laptop, you’re putting yourself at risk of being stuck somewhere with no power. A laptop that drains its battery too quickly can be a hindrance when trying to work on the go, or even when using it around the house. Some laptops do have longer battery lives than others, so keep an eye out for how long other users are reporting between recharges.

pro and cons of 2019 Apple MacBook Pro

Pros:

  • 16-inch Retina display with True Tone
  • Sixth-generation Intel Core i7 processor
  • Ultrafast SSD
  • Intel Iris Pro Graphics
  • Up to 4GB of dedicated VRAM
  • Two Thunderbolt 3 ports

A great computer.

The 2019 Apple MacBook Pro is a great computer. The new large screen, with rounded corners and a thin-ish bezel, looks sleeker than ever before. Its battery life is good, too, lasting up to 10 hours on a charge. And after several years of users complaining about the keyboard that came in past models, the company finally updated it for this year’s model.

The speakers are another highlight: They sound better than those of any laptop I’ve tested recently.

Overall, the design feels more mature and refined compared to previous generations of the MacBook Pro. Yet its price is still quite high compared to other laptops that offer similar performance — including some from Dell and HP with OLED screens that look just as pretty as the one Apple uses here.

Drwabacks of 2019 Apple MacBook Pro

First and foremost, let’s address the elephant in the room: this laptop is expensive. The model we’re talking about today is $2,399. If you want to outfit your new MacBook Pro with all of the bells and whistles, you could easily spend over $7,000 on the top-of-the-line model. You’ll be able to get a lot of laptops for that kind of money—like one for each day of the week. But here’s the thing: Your average bargain laptop isn’t going to be able to hold a candle to even an entry-level MacBook Pro in terms of power or design. This new MacBook Pro is Apple’s best yet, and it has set a high standard for laptops moving forward.

With that said, there are still plenty of reasons not to buy it—especially if you’re already happy with your current computer setup or have budget constraints that would make spending thousands on a new laptop prohibitively expensive.

pro and cons of Gigabyte AERO 15 OLED Thin and Light Laptop

Pros:

  • Its battery life is good. On normal usage, the laptop can be used for about 7 hours without charging.
  • It is light weight. This makes it comfortable to carry around with you everywhere
  • The display and the processor are fantastic.

Cons:

  • Poor fan management: the fans do not run when needed and do so when they are not needed
  • The keyboard is poor as one has to apply too much force to type on it. This might lead to wrist pain after prolonged use of the laptop.
  • The trackpad drags a lot which might be really frustrating if you want something quick

drwabacks of Gigabyte AERO 15 OLED Thin and Light Laptop

On the plus side, AERO 15 OLED has a breathtaking display, powerful graphics, and excellent cooling for gaming. On the other hand, it has some drawbacks:

  • Cost. The 2018 Gigabyte AERO 15 OLED starts at $2,299 USD and goes up from there (depending on how it’s configured). That’s not quite as expensive as some of the other laptops we’ve covered in this article—but $2,300 is still a hefty price to pay for any laptop.
  • No USB C Thunderbolt 3 port. This won’t matter if you don’t have any Thunderbolt 3 accessories or peripherals. If you do, however, that means you’ll be hard-pressed to use them with your new Gigabyte AERO 15 OLED unless you buy an external adapter or docking station that adds the necessary ports back in (and costs even more money).

pro and cons of HP Spectre x360 Luxury

Pros:

  • gorgeous, high-resolution display;
  • excellent performance;
  • long battery life.

Cons:

  • runs hot under load; awkward webcam placement

With its suite of cutting-edge features and a gorgeous display, the Spectre x360-16 2-in-1 will keep you productive and entertained for long stretches wherever you go.

With its suite of cutting-edge features and a gorgeous display, the Spectre x360-16 2-in-1 will keep you productive and entertained for long stretches wherever you go. Its strong performance, good battery life, comfortable keyboard, solid audio and fast fingerprint reader help it stand out in the crowd.

The Spectre x360-16 has a 16.1-inch 16:10 display with 4K resolution and WLED backlighting that covers 100% of the DCI P3 color gamut. It also sports Thunderbolt 4 ports to support faster speeds when connected to compatible accessories or displays. However, keep in mind that this laptop is thick at 0.7 inches and weighs 5 pounds. Its port selection is limited as well — it only offers two Thunderbolt ports and IR cameras are missing from this model (although they’re still present on other models). This premium laptop also costs a pretty penny, starting at $1,699 but going up to $2,379 if you want one with more powerful components like an Intel Core i9 processor or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti GPU.

drwabacks of HP Spectre x360 Luxury

It’s not all rainbows and unicorns, though. The Spectre x360-16 does suffer from a few drawbacks. The display is only 1920×1080, so our 4K tests went out the window. It’s not terrible, but the viewing angles are less than ideal, and overall there’s a slight lack of contrast. HP says it has improved its screen brightness to 600 nits with this generation of laptops, but even under direct lighting on sunny days we found ourselves bumping up the brightness to maximum just to see what we were doing. We also found the speakers lacking in volume; if you’re going to be blasting music or playing games in public places, bring headphones (or use a Bluetooth speaker).

9.2020 Newest Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Premium PC Laptop

BrandDell
Specific Uses For ProductStudent, Gaming, Business
Screen Size15.6 Inches
Operating SystemWindows 10

Hard Disk Size256 GB

The 2020 Newest Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Premium PC laptop is a solid mid-range computer that won’t break your bank but can still handle pretty much any application you throw at it. From writing papers to playing video games, this laptop has got you covered.

Excellent design:

This laptop looks great and has a nice heft to it—it feels solid without feeling heavy. The matte black finish helps it look more professional, and the pattern of raised dots on the lid (which is also available in red) gives it some texture and character without looking tacky or gaudy. It’s not flashy, but definitely attractive and sleek. The Inspiron 15 would be a great choice for anyone who needs a durable laptop but isn’t interested in something that’s so expensive they’re afraid to take it outside of their home.

Performance:

The processor and graphics chip are both 7th generation Intel i7, which means that this laptop performs well for tasks like gaming, photo editing, and streaming 4K content. The 8GB RAM allows you access to multiple applications at once without noticing any lag or slowdown from the system—you don’t have to worry about software loading slowly or lagging if you’re switching between programs. There’s no need to worry about running out of memory either—the hard drive is 1TB with plenty of space for files and media storage. Storage space isn’t replaced by cloud storage either; there are multiple USB ports (one USB 3 port plus two USB 2 ports) that allow users to have external hard drives plugged into them when needed. One thing I especially love about this model is that the HDD has an offline solid state drive cache for fast booting and application opening times—this combination improves performance while keeping cost down because SSDs are expensive!

The touch screen adds some extra functionality as well; touch capability makes navigating Windows 10 easy when using touchscreen laptops that don’t include a mouse on their keyboard (like this one).

It has a memory of 8 GB DDR4 SDRAM at 2133 MHz which will meet all your performance needs, plus with 1TB Hard Drive Storage you can store all your files securely on your computer. The graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce MX150 which ensures that you are able to play all your favorite games and watch videos without lagging or freezing due to lack of processing power. If you’re looking for an excellent laptop which provides the best performance in all categories, then the new Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Premium is the perfect choice!

16GB DDR4 RAM system memory for full-power multitasking; Solid State Drive (PCI-e), Save files fast and store more data. With plenty amounts of storage and advanced communication power, great for major gaming, multiple servers, backups, and more.

The Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Premium is the perfect PC for home use. It comes with many power-user friendly features that make it great for gaming, but also useful to anyone who wants a solid laptop for work and school. The 16GB of DDR4 RAM gives you more than enough multitasking power, while the Solid State Drive (PCI-e) allows you to load your operating system and files at incredible speeds. If you’re thinking about getting a desktop, this laptop is as good as it gets when it comes to price vs performance.

^Installing a graphics card can be done easily by people with medium technical knowhow, but requires purchasing an adapter separately.

One caveat: if one of your major uses is watching streaming videos or TV shows, get something else—the graphics card on this model won’t handle the newer 4K standard and will leave you staring at pixelated mush instead of your favorite YouTubers’ smooth faces.

Intel Iris Plus Graphics enables 4K content at compressed speed; 2 USB 3.0 ports maximize the latest high-speed devices; HDMI output expands your viewing options; Connect to a Wireless-AC router for nearly 3x the speed; 2×2 802.11ac Wireless LAN Mbps.

You can even use the Dell Inspiron 15’s HDMI output to connect to a second monitor for dual displays. The Dell Inspiron 15 provides 2 USB 3.0 ports, giving you enhanced peripheral connectivity options. Storage drives can be connected via the DVD drive or the hard disk drive supporting up to 1 TB capacity. If you’re looking for a wireless-AC router, look no further than the Dell Inspiron 15, which has 2×2 802.11ac Wireless LAN Mbps for wireless connection versatility and speed.

pro and cons of 2020 Newest Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Premium PC Laptop

No matter if you’re a student or a worker, a parent or an early-career professional, you could probably benefit from the Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Premium Laptop.

This laptop can be considered powerful on its own. But there are many other things that make it worth buying. It comes with several processing units and memory configurations, which makes it the perfect choice for many scenarios.

It’s big enough to comfortably work on spreadsheets and word processing documents and small enough to carry around everywhere you go.

It’s also quite affordable in comparison with other laptops of this caliber. With its excellent price/quality ratio, anyone will wonder how they ever started their day without it!

The 2020 Newest Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Premium PC Laptop is a fantastically equipped PC laptop in a very affordable package

When it comes to picking the best PC laptop, some people like to shop by specs alone. For example, they might look at the CPU speed or how much memory a computer has. There’s nothing inherently wrong with this approach, but it can be exclusionary because many of the most important features—like weight or battery life—aren’t part of an item’s basic stats. That’s where we come in with our list of considerations for what makes a great laptop.

With the Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Premium Laptop (to give its full name), you get a 15-inch display that feels comfortable without feeling cramped. It has just enough screen space to make photo editing easy and web browsing enjoyable without feeling too big for your lap. The resolution is also good: A 1920×1080 display allows you to look at photos at their full resolution, as well as use several browser tabs simultaneously. While someone could enjoy 1920×1080 on a 13-inch screen, having more room means that you’ll appreciate images more, and not feel like you’re constantly scrolling and panning around websites.

The Inspiron 15 5000’s generous amount of RAM allows you to multitask easily on complex projects without running into any limitations from slow memory speeds or losing unsaved work by closing an app in order to launch another quickly. 16GB should be plenty for anyone who uses their PC for work or entertainment purposes alike; graphics-intensive content won’t have any problems either since AMD graphics are onboard if your needs require them (the Inspiron 15 5000 has both integrated Intel HD Graphics and dedicated AMD Radeon 530 graphics).

With its solid-state drive (SSD) as its hard drive, this laptop boots up in under 10 seconds and is completely quiet while doing so: no clattering of spinning drives here! This also means notably faster load times when switching between apps or opening files versus using an old-fashioned hard drive (HDD). You’ll have no problems using this computer straight out of the box

drwabacks of 2020 Newest Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Premium PC Laptop

For a limited time, Dell is selling their latest 15″ laptop, the Inspiron 15 5000 (model 7570). This laptop is well-suited for students and professionals alike. With an Intel i5 8250U CPU, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD hard drive, you’ll have plenty of power to handle word processing and multimedia applications. The screen is full HD with Dell’s PremierColor technology which uses hardware calibration to boost the range of colors so they are more vibrant than on standard displays. This feature will be especially useful if you use your laptop for media editing or video streaming.

The machine lacks one feature that has become common on laptops: backlit keys. Backlit keys allow you to type in low-light settings without needing a separate light source. Without this feature, you may need extra lighting for late-night study sessions in the library or dimly-lit living rooms during holiday parties.

If you’re in the market for a laptop which can handle basic work tasks as well as multimedia applications and games, then this may be worth checking out. Don’t forget to check out our other deals on laptops here!

Weighing just 2.95 pounds, this LG gram laptop is lightweight and durable. With a full metal body, it can pass military standards for durability. The Nano Carbon Magnesium alloy body makes it both lighter and stronger than typical laptops that are made with aluminum. The screen is 17 inches, with a 1920 x 1200 WUXGA display. It has Windows 10 Pro pre-installed, 8GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD.

Ultra-lightweight body

10th Gen Intel Core i7 Processor and 16GB RAM

With an 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and 16GB of RAM, this LG Gram laptop has the processing power to quickly load programs and perform multiple tasks at once. The large 17″ Full HD display provides crisp, detailed visuals for a vibrant viewing experience when streaming high-definition content.

1TB SSD & Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) 2×2.

There are a few drawbacks, though. The charging time is pretty slow, which means you’ll likely want to keep your charger plugged in or carry one with you if you’re on the go. With nearly everything these days having USB-C ports, it’s a little frustrating that this laptop doesn’t have one (or even a memory card reader) because it means you’ll have to bring along an adapter for external storage devices. Speaking of USB-C, there’s no Thunderbolt 3 here either, so those advanced portable accessories will be out of reach as well. Lastly, the keyboard isn’t as good as it should be for $2K — especially since LG chose not to include any number pad and cut the size down considerably from other 17″ laptops; this thing is just under 15″ wide and has keys much smaller than what we’re used to seeing on most larger laptops.

pro and cons of LG Gram 17Z90N Laptop 17″

The LG Gram 17 has a lot going for it: it’s lightweight and durable, and with a 17-hour battery life, it gets you through the day. It also comes with 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD storage space, and Windows 10.

But there are some drawbacks to this laptop. The display is dim, even when set to higher brightness levels. This may be less of an issue if you’re not doing video or photo editing. Another issue is that the LG Gram doesn’t have Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C); this means that you’ll have to keep track of your USB-A cables, as they won’t fit in the side ports on this laptop. And lastly, there is no webcam included in this machine; if you want FaceTime or Skype capabilities on this computer, you’d need to purchase an external webcam separately.

Lightweight, durable and reliable

Key Details

  • When you hear “laptop,” you may think of a bulky, heavy device. But the LG Gram 17Z90N Laptop 17″ is lightweight and ultra-slim. It comes in at just 2.98 pounds and has a body that’s .66 inches thin. You’ll love how easy this laptop is to carry around all day long, whether you’re taking it to class or the office or heading out for the weekend.
  • Sports an Intel Core i7-1065G7 processor with 16GB of RAM. This powerful pairing means you can multitask with ease, even when your workload becomes overwhelming. And its NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics card makes streaming videos, playing video games and creating presentations fun and simple—no more watching videos on a frozen screen!
  • Not only does this model have a longer battery life than other laptops—its battery lasts up to 17 hours on a single charge—but it’s also very durable thanks to its military-grade durability rating (MIL-STD 810G). This means it can handle more knocks and drops than other traditional laptops—making it perfect for students and professionals who are always on the go!

Drwabacks of LG Gram 17Z90N Laptop 17″

There are some drawbacks to the LG Gram 17Z90N Laptop. They include:

  • Only having one USB-A port.
  • The keyboard is not backlit (the Chromebook has a backlit keyboard).
  • Windows 10 was installed on the laptop, which is not my favorite operating system and can be glitchy at times.
