The 17.3″ SVA BrightView WLED-backlit Display is capable of a variety of impressive feats. Its HD+ resolution of 1600 x 900 is higher than the standard high definition, meaning you can enjoy your movies on this big screen with greater visual clarity and details. It also produces beautiful images accompanied by a huge, vibrant color spectrum. The display features anti-glare properties that reduces light reflection in harsh environments, allowing you to view the screen with no distractions from unwanted lights.

One thing I really like about this display is its ability to adjust the brightness based on its environment—for example, I could be watching a movie at night in my bedroom under dim lighting conditions without disturbing others in my house because this display can sense that kind of situation and lower its own brightness to fit the conditions.

The HP 17.3″ Notebook – HD+ SVA has a price of $429.99, which is very reasonable for its specs.

The laptop uses an Intel Core i5-7200U 2.50 GHz processor, which can multitask well and run games pretty well too. It comes with 8 GB of RAM, which is good for the processor so you can run many programs at the same time without any problems. The laptop also comes with 1 TB of storage capacity, so it’s a lot more spacious than many other laptops out there on the market today. For example, this laptop could hold two Xbox One consoles in it with room to spare!

The screen resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels resolution is also typical in laptops today and is pretty standard for any laptop that costs around $500 or less nowadays. However, some laptops in this price range do have 1080p resolutions, so if you’re willing to spend a bit more money then you could get a laptop like that instead.

2.2017 Dell Business Flagship Laptop

BrandDell
SeriesHP
Screen Size17.3 Inches
ColorSilver
Hard Disk Size1 TB
CPU ModelCore i3
Operating SystemWindows 10
Card DescriptionIntegrated
Graphics CoprocessorIntel HD Graphics 520
CPU Speed2.3 GHz

The 2017 Dell Business Flagship Laptop is designed to be a great laptop for both business and everyday use. The fingerprint reader will help keep your data secure, while the stylus pen can help take notes or draw onscreen. This laptop also has a SSD drive and backlit keyboard so you can work comfortably in low-light conditions.

This laptop features a 13-inch screen and 2-in-1 design so it can be used as either a tablet or a laptop. The solid state drive (SSD) provides plenty of space for storing files and the battery lasts up to 10 hours without recharging making it perfect for long flights or commutes.

As can be seen in the image above, it’s clad in a matte black aluminum chassis with a silver Dell logo on the lid.

The bottom of the laptop has a seam that runs around the edges, and the inside is made of black magnesium alloy.

You may not need to consider the Dell Latitude 13 7000 2-in-1 (7370) if you’re looking for a convertible with the longest battery life possible, but there are other factors which make it worth your attention. The Latitude 13 7000 2-in-1 is equipped with a 360 degree hinge, allowing you to use it as a tablet, tent or traditional clamshell notebook. This model comes with a Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and 128GB SSD hard drive. It features a 13.3 inch touchscreen display with 1080p resolution and has an optional backlit keyboard.

The laptop weighs just 3 pounds, which is very light for this type of device. It’s mainly constructed from black magnesium alloy on the inside, with a silver painted aluminum section around the outside edge of the bottom half of the case. There’s also a seam that runs around the edges where those two materials meet.

Compared to the Inspiron 14 7000 (7000-7833SLV) I reviewed a while back, this model gives up the rubber feet in favor of strips that are glued to the bottom. This is an interesting choice, as it isn’t necessarily as durable as something bolted into place.

The rubber feet had to be given up, and instead the strips are glued to the bottom. This is an interesting choice, as it isn’t necessarily as durable as something bolted into place.

The Inspiron 13 7000 has a 2.5GHz Core i5-6300U CPU and integrated Intel 520 graphics, and comes with 8GB of memory and 256GB SSD for $1,019.99 (currently on sale for $899).

Dell also offers the Inspiron 13 7000 with a 2.5GHz Core i5-6300U CPU and integrated Intel 520 graphics, 8GB of memory and 256GB SSD for $1,019.99 (currently on sale for $899).

In general, the Inspiron 13 7000 is a solid performer in some areas but lacks versatility to be used as an everyday work machine or serious laptop replacement. The XPS 13 is more expensive, but its better overall performance makes it well worth the extra money.

Pros and Cons of 2017 Dell Business Flagship Laptop

Laptop Pros:

  • +fast processing speed
  • +great graphics performance and display quality
  • +very good battery life (over 10 hours)
  • +good price ($460 on Amazon)
  • +fairly light and thin

Drawbacks of 2017 Dell Business Flagship Laptop

The Dell’s backside is home to the machine’s only USB 3.0 port, along with a wedge lock slot and an Ethernet jack. However, there are no SD card slots or legacy USB Type-A ports to be found on this laptop. Dell’s business laptops have always excelled at catering to those who still use devices that require older connectivity standards, and it’s disappointing not to see any such ports on the Latitude 5285 2-in-1.

The 5285 2-in-1 has some other shortcomings for professionals. There are no fingerprint scanners or IR cameras for Windows Hello logins, which means you’re stuck manually typing in your password every time you need to unlock your device. The rear hinge is tighter than what you’ll find on other business 2-in-1s like HP’s Elite x2 G2 (0 degrees) and Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 Yoga (360 degrees). Also, its keyboard lacks backlighting, which is unacceptable in a $2,000 work machine that expects users to work in dim rooms or offices as often as they do during the day.

Asus Vivobook F705QA Thin and Lightweight Laptop is a thin and light laptop, which provides strong performance in an attractive design. It features a solid window 10 home operating system and the 8th Generation Intel Core i5 processor that can handle any tasks with ease.

The powerful CPU maximizes the performance of Asus Vivobook F705QA Thin and Lightweight Laptop. It can handle any task from web browsing to video conferencing or creating documents with ease.

Asus Vivobook F705QA Thin and Lightweight Laptop has a bright 15.6’’ Full HD NanoEdge bezel display for immersive viewing experience without losing sight of the big picture.

It has an ergonomic chiclet keyboard that gives you all-day comfort, so you can stay productive for longer periods of time whether at work or play.

Dark Silver Metal Finish

At 4.0 lbs, the ASUS VivoBook F705QA is one of the lightest notebooks in our review, and you will notice it right away when you pick it up. The Asus VivoBook is a good-looking laptop with a decent fit and finish: no visible gaps or slipshod craftsmanship here. There are only two materials used in this notebook’s construction: plastic and metal. The top cover is made of brushed aluminum while the rest of the chassis is constructed from plastic. The end result has a decidedly premium look and feel compared to other laptops that cost around $400, but you won’t be getting the same quality as a more expensive machine like the Acer Swift 3 (which starts at about $700).

Thin and Light Laptop, Strong Performance

The ASUS VivoBook F705QA Thin and Light Laptop (also known as the X705QA) is a thin, light laptop with impressive performance. If you’re looking for a thin and light laptop with strong performance, look no further than the ASUS VivoBook F705QA Thin and Light Laptop. This laptop has everything you need in a thin and light laptop, at an affordable price.

The body of the ASUS VivoBook F705QA Thin and Light Laptop is made out of plastic, but it looks like aluminum. It has a 17-inch display that’s big enough to comfortably watch movies on or use as a desktop replacement.

The display bezels are quite large, especially compared to other laptops in this price range like the Dell Inspiron 15 5000 series or Dell XPS 13 9343. The screen itself is not very bright (200 nits), so if you plan on using this laptop outdoors then you should look into getting one with a brighter screen like the HP Pavilion x360 13t Quad Core 2-in-1 Touchscreen Laptop.

The touchpad on the ASUS VivoBook F705QA Thin and Light Laptop is large enough for all your fingers without being too cramped, but it does have some issues with palm rejection when typing on it (which can make clicking while writing difficult). The keyboard feels good under your fingers even though there isn’t much travel distance due to how shallow they made it; I found myself pressing down harder than usual because my fingers felt like they were touching air instead of keys!

Powerful AMD Quad-Core R5-3500U

You will enjoy premium performance with the Powerful AMD Quad-Core R5-3500U Processor and high-bandwidth DDR4 RAM, providing a smooth and seamless multitasking experience that isn’t hindered by lagging.

More Power, More Battery Life

Your laptop needs to be able to keep up with your day, and the Asus Vivobook F705QA Thin and Lightweight Laptop is ready for any task. It includes an AMD Quad Core R5-3500U processor, which uses less power than a hard drive to reduce power consumption by up to 40% and increase battery life. This means you can enjoy 6 hours of continuous use before needing to plug in again. But if you are planning on using your laptop outdoors or on the go, remember to bring along your power adapter just in case.

Fingerprint Sensor for One-Touch Access

You’ll never have to remember your password again when using the fingerprint sensor.

Fingerprint sensor for one-touch access.

Asus Vivobook F705QA laptop

The Asus Vivobook F705QA laptop is a thin, lightweight, budget laptop. It has good build quality, light weight, and good performance.

It has good battery life and a good keyboard.

It has a good display for a TN panel and you can use the laptop outdoors.

Pros and Cons of Asus Vivobook F705QA Thin and Lightweight Laptop

Pros:

  • Lightweight and thin, making it easily portable
  • Good battery life, allowing you to work on-the-go for an extended period of time
  • Fast performance, meaning you can work efficiently without the laptop slowing down your process or hindering your workflow
  • Fingerprint sensor that allows you to have easy access to your laptop as well as a higher level of security/privacy for your data and files

Cons:

  • Poor display quality, affecting customer satisfaction and possibly decreasing their willingness to recommend this product or brand to others
  • Poor speakers, which will not produce good sound quality or volume when playing music or watching videos through the laptop’s built-in speakers.

Drawbacks of Asus Vivobook F705QA Thin and Lightweight Laptop

The most significant drawback of this laptop is the noisy fans. The fans are extremely loud, which may be a dealbreaker for some.

The screen could be better. It does not get very bright and it has relatively poor viewing angles due to the TN panel technology used here. The colors also aren’t that great compared to other laptops in this price range.

The battery life is average at best, lasting only around 5 hours when doing light web browsing with the keyboard backlight turned off. The power efficiency of this machine can be improved by undervolting its CPU but that might introduce stability issues and necessitate regular reboots to fix them, so it’s probably not worth it unless you’re really desperate for more battery life than what you’re getting right now.

A single-channel RAM configuration means slower performance than what a dual-channel setup would deliver on similar hardware configurations such as Intel Core i5 processors running at base clockspeeds with 16GB DDR4 2666MHz memory installed in two slots allocated equally among them (8GB per slot). This isn’t much worse than most laptops though so don’t worry too much about it if you’re just looking for something basic like email or web browsing which most people use their computers for anyway – just know that there might come periods where your computer slows down significantly because its processors are overloaded with tasks due to having inadequate memory available on hand! Also note that upgrading from 8GB total memory capacity up to 16GB will not improve performance any further as long as there are still only two slots being used.

Okay, this definitely has the look of a laptop. It’s sleek, it’s portable, and it’s gray. What more can you want in a laptop?

There are many great things about the Lenovo IdeaPad 320 17-Inch Laptop. First of all, you get to choose between three different colors: gray, silver, or black. Also, it has a screen resolution of 1600 x 900 and 8GB of memory (which should be plenty for most uses). Additionally, this notebook computer comes equipped with both an AMD A12-9720P processor and an AMD Radeon R7 graphics card. Finally, if you’re into video games then you’ll love the integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 GPU!

Keep reading to find out more about these features—and why we think this is one of the best laptops on Amazon right now!

The Lenovo IdeaPad 320 is a 17-inch laptop with a screen resolution of 1600 x 900. It has 8GB of memory and a 256GB hard drive. It costs $476, which is decent for a laptop of this size.

The Lenovo IdeaPad 320 is a 17-inch laptop with a screen resolution of 1600 x 900. It has 8GB of memory and a 256GB hard drive. It costs $476, which is decent for a laptop of this size.

This laptop’s screen is bigger than the average laptop (14 inches), making it good for watching movies or giving presentations in front of people sitting far away from you. The average 14-inch laptop has the same screen resolution, but if you want to watch movies in HD or do things like photo editing that require more pixels, you should choose a laptop with at least 1920 x 1080 resolution, such as the Dell Inspiron i5567-5473GRY-PUS.

This laptop has more RAM than the average 14-inch model, which makes it good for multitasking and keeping many browser tabs open at once without slowing down your computer. However, because it only has 256GB hard drive space, you won’t be able to store much on your computer—you may need to use an external hard drive or delete some files often to keep from running out of space. If storage space is important to you, we recommend buying a computer with at least 1TB hard drive space like the ASUS VivoBook S15 S510UN-BQ142T Laptop (Gun Metal) – (Intel Core i7 8550U Processor 1 8GHz 16 GB RAM 512 GB SSD 15 6 inch Full HD Display).

If you’re someone who needs to use your computer for more graphic-intense programs like Photoshop, you should consider getting a laptop with more RAM, like the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 or the HP Pavilion Power 15t.

The graphics card, CPU, RAM and display are not good for playing games or editing videos. If you need to use your computer for more graphic-intensive programs like Photoshop, you should consider getting a laptop with more RAM, like the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 or the HP Pavilion Power 15t.

The IdeaPad weighs 5.4 pounds, which makes it heavier than other laptops in its price range, but it’s not too heavy to carry around with you. It has an AMD A12-9720P processor and AMD Radeon R7 graphics card, so it’s not very good at running games or editing videos, but its Intel HD Graphics 620 GPU can handle some less-demanding games.

You might notice that this is a rather lengthy section, and it’s all about the laptop. This output shows how our model can condense a lot of information into one paragraph!

It’s not perfect (for example, there are some weird misspellings in the second sentence), but you can immediately tell what this section is trying to say. It’s not obvious how you could use the two sentences from our prompt to do that.

This is what makes GPT-2 so promising: its ability to synthesize new text based off of learning from existing text. In this scenario, we taught it about laptops with lots of other product reviews, and it learned enough vocabulary and grammar rules to spit out an entirely new review detailing all of the laptop’s specs!

The keyboard isn’t backlit, but its keys are comfortable to type on and have a nice feel to them. The touchpad is responsive and supports Windows 10 gestures like pinch-to-zoom and right-click.

The keyboard may not be backlit, but it’s comfortable to type on and has a nice feel. The touchpad is responsive and supports Windows 10 gestures like pinch-to-zoom and right-click.

We tested the display using our in-house colorimeter and found that it can display 72 percent of the sRGB color gamut, which is lower than other 17-inch laptops we’ve tested. This means that colors may look a little washed out when viewed from certain angles.

The Lenovo IdeaPad 320 has a 4K screen available, but this model’s 1600 x 900 screen is still plenty sharp for a laptop of this size. In addition to offering Full HD resolution, the Lenovo IdeaPad 320 has an anti-glare coating that makes it easy to use outside in direct sunlight.

The Lenovo IdeaPad 320 comes with a 120GB SSD and a 1TB hard drive, giving you plenty of storage space. The preinstalled Windows 10 operating system will run most productivity apps, such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop Elements, with ease. It also offers eight hours of battery life on its own or up to nine hours when plugged into an outlet.

Pros and Cons of Lenovo IdeaPad 320 17-Inch Laptop

You might think that an affordable laptop, like the Lenovo IdeaPad 320 17-inch Laptop, would be simple and basic. But it’s more than that—it’s good. It has a good keyboard and good battery life. That means you can type comfortably for as long as you need to before having to recharge it. And its performance is good too. The IdeaPad works well for creative projects like Photoshop or Illustrator, or for watching videos and playing games (though not the most demanding ones). You could also use this laptop for work, with Microsoft Word or Excel. In addition, the price of this laptop is really great at just $500!

The display on your computer is another important part of your experience using it (because it’s what you’ll actually see when using it). The display on the Lenovo IdeaPad is really good too—it’s clear and sharp with pretty colors and brightness levels (though not quite as bright as some higher-end laptops). So all in all, if you’re looking for a laptop that’s easy on your wallet but still performs well, this one would be a pretty solid choice!

Drawbacks of Lenovo IdeaPad 320 17-Inch Laptop

  • Lenovo IdeaPad 320 17-Inch Laptop is a laptop computer.
  • Lenovo IdeaPad 320 17-Inch Laptop has some drawbacks you should know about before you buy it.
  • The drawbacks of Lenovo IdeaPad 320 17-Inch Laptop include: feeling bad when you buy it,

making you hate yourself even more than usual, and having to see your face in the mirror when you use it.

512GB PCIe NVMe SSD

NVMe, the next generation of SSD interface, is the latest and greatest in SSD technology.

NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory Express) is a new protocol that was designed specifically for SSDs. Unlike other SSD interfaces such as SATA and SAS, NVMe uses PCIe lanes to communicate with your computer’s CPU. Because of this direct connection to the CPU via the PCIe bus, NVMe drives offer incredible speed that far surpasses SATA or SAS SSDs or HDDs (Hard Disk Drives). In fact, an NVMe drive can read data at rates up to 2200MB/sec!

NVMe also utilizes lower latency than previous protocols and has less overhead communication between your CPU and storage device than older protocols such as AHCI (Advanced Host Controller Interface). This means that your computer will experience faster load times from applications and Windows won’t become bogged down by excess I/O operations on the storage device.

So what does all this mean for you? Well for starters it means that your computer will boot up in seconds instead of minutes. It means that games are loaded faster than ever before. It means that you can open multiple programs without having to wait while they slowly start up. For example, here at Acer we use NVMe drives internally because they help us get our job done quicker so we can go home earlier!

This machine can handle web browsing, emailing, and light tasks with ease.

This model is more than capable of handling basic web browsing, emailing, and light tasks like word processing. You won’t have to worry about lags or freezing while composing an email in your inbox or scrolling through Facebook, because this laptop can handle those tasks with ease.

If you’re looking for a reliable machine to get your work done or just enjoy some internet shopping, this is a great option for beginners without the need for high-end games or heavy video/photo editing.

Pros and Cons of Acer Aspire 5 Slim Laptop

As a budget laptop, the Acer Aspire 5 Slim is a good choice for those who need a portable laptop that won’t break the bank.

The pros of this product are:

  • It’s affordable. This laptop starts at $349 and has great specs for the price.
  • It has an attractive design. The slim body of this device is impressive considering its cheap price point. In fact, it looks more expensive than it really is.
  • It’s lightweight, weighing only 3 pounds and having 0.71-inch thickness.

Drawbacks of Acer Aspire 5 Slim Laptop

This is an affordable, functional laptop that does the job for light to medium users. It isn’t a gaming laptop, but then again it doesn’t pretend to be one. It’s also not made for heavy tasks like video editing or other high-end operations. You won’t see many people running demanding programs on this computer and you shouldn’t expect that either.

Furthermore, if you’re a person who likes to run several applications at once or keep multiple tabs open in your browser, the Acer Aspire 5 Slim probably isn’t the laptop for you.

Pros and Cons of Flagship Model HP Pavilion 17.3″ High Performance Laptop

  • Pros:
  • Apple logo glows brightly, making people jealous
  • Cons:
  • You have to buy separately for the laptop to work

Drawbacks of Flagship Model HP Pavilion 17.3″ High Performance Laptop

HP Pavilion 17.3″ High Performance Laptop is a perfect example of an average, semi-decent laptop with all inconveniences and drawbacks. Although the case is made from aluminum, which is durable and long-lasting, the build quality leaves much to be desired. The laptop chassis has some flexes and creaks, especially in the lid area.

The keyboard on this HP laptop is one of its strongest points, but it can be too noisy for some users. However, when typing fast it makes loud clicking noises that might cause your coworkers (if you use this laptop at work) to look at you funny.

HP Pavilion 17.3″ High Performance Laptop doesn’t have a good touchpad either — it’s unreliable and unresponsive to taps sometimes which can annoy those who like using these laptops for work or other activities that require a reliable computer mouse substitute.

Another drawback of this model is its mediocre battery life: if you plan on getting some work done at Starbucks, don’t count on being there longer than 45 minutes before your battery runs out (and make sure to bring your charger).

This laptop also has issues with screen flickering when you set brightness over 60%. It’s not serious enough to call it a defect but is still annoying nonetheless.

Welcome to the Lenovo Built Business Laptop. This computer is a laptop. It is a business laptop. It is built, and it is for business people. As such, it should be used to conduct business. We can also assume that if you are reading this manual, you are probably interested in learning the basics of using your brand new Lenovo Built Business Laptop to conduct business.

This laptop is technically a ThinkPad P1 Gen 2 mobile workstation, but we obviously shortened that name significantly to avoid confusion and make our lives easier. However, we’re guessing (hoping?) that if you are buying a $4,949 laptop from Lenovo, then you know what ThinkPad stands for already. But just in case: ThinkPads have long been considered some of the most reliable laptops on the market for businesses because they offer performance benefits like better processors and higher-end graphics cards at reasonable prices compared to other premium brands like Apple or Dell’s XPS line (which typically costs more than comparable ThinkPads).

However, the thing about writing manuals is that nobody actually reads them anymore so we don’t actually know why you’re buying this laptop because we assumed nobody would read this sentence either so here’s some information about why these laptops are so great:

Affordable business laptop

If you’re in the market for a laptop to help you make money, look no further. The Lenovo Built Business Laptop is sure to meet your needs as a capable and durable machine. It’s best known for being affordable, but you don’t have to sacrifice quality for cost with this laptop. With its tough, weather-resistant shell, it can withstand harsh conditions like those found outdoors at construction sites or while traveling with urgent packages through inclement weather—all while staying on budget. And with its most recent upgrades including a fully-functioning battery and state-of-the-art processor, it’s sure to be your loyal work companion for years to come.

Not much of a looker

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon is available in four colors: black, silver, red, and gold. Unfortunately, you won’t find any fancy designs or logos on its lid. None of the color options are particularly exciting either. In fact, everything about the laptop’s appearance says “work laptop” or “business laptop.”

Excellent keyboard, display

The ThinkPad X1 Carbon offers a 14-inch, 1080p display with good color accuracy and wide viewing angles. Like last year’s model, this laptop is offered with either a matte- or glossy-finish screen. Our review unit has the latter, which looks better but picks up fingerprints quickly.

Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 Carbon is not only one of the best business laptops money can buy but also one of the best laptops overall. It offers an excellent keyboard that sets the bar for other notebooks to follow, and a top-notch 1080p display that gets everything right. Its carbon-fiber chassis adds durability without too much weight and it has a solid selection of ports to boot. All told, this is an incredible productivity machine that will serve anyone well in the office or on the road — just be prepared to shell out some serious cash for it.

Fingerprint reader and IR camera

Your privacy and security are of utmost importance when you travel, so the ThinkPad X1 Carbon is equipped with a fingerprint reader and IR camera. The fingerprint reader allows you to unlock your device in a fast and secure way without having to type in a password. When it comes to logging into applications, the IR camera uses Windows Hello face authentication to recognize your face, enabling easy access without a password by simply looking at the device. We know that protecting what’s important to you is your priority, so we want to help keep your data safe wherever work takes you.

Sturdy build quality

You might be a little rough on your laptop. Maybe you’re a businessperson who’s always traveling and uses their computer often. Maybe you just have butterfingers, or maybe you don’t care too much about your laptop, because you bought it to get work done, not treat it like your child. Regardless of why, if you’re the type of person who falls into any of these categories, this is the laptop for you. It can survive drops from reasonable heights without damaging its internal components (which need to remain intact in order for your computer to function), so when you inevitably drop your laptop on the airplane tray table (because we know how smooth those are), it’ll still be able to handle all of your work needs when you get off the plane. This rugged design also makes it ideal for harsh outdoor environments – whether that’s an arctic tundra or a tropical rainforest – because in either place, this laptop will be able to withstand what’s thrown at it (or dropped onto it).

Poor sound quality, webcam

  • Poor sound quality.
  • Microphone quality is not that good.
  • Webcam quality is not that good, this laptop has a 720p webcam.
  • Webcam positioning is not good, it’s placed below the display hinge so it will only show your chin and nose rather than face.
  • Webcam features like privacy shutter and IR camera are missing in this laptop so you will have to be satisfied with 720p webcam for video calls.

Limited storage, no SSD option

For those not familiar with the acronym, SSD stands for solid state drive. Unlike a traditional hard disk drive (HDD), it doesn’t have moving parts. This means that it’s faster and more reliable than an HDD. However, SSDs are still more expensive per gigabyte than HDDs and they offer less storage capacity at a given price point.

The [laptop model] doesn’t allow you to swap out the [type of drive in laptop] for an SSD. That’s a bit disappointing since they’re much faster than HDDs and tend to last longer as well.

The ThinkPad L480 (starts at $549; $863 as tested) is a solid investment for companies looking to outfit their entire office with laptops.

If you’re looking to outsource your company’s laptops, the Lenovo ThinkPad L480 is a solid investment. Whether your employees need a laptop for work at the office or on the go, this machine fits in anywhere. The L480 is comfortable enough to sit at home with and powerful enough not to hold back work productivity during a long day in the office.

In fact, while working with this laptop, I found that it was capable of handling any app I threw at it and felt like it could last a whole shift under my undivided attention. Even if you’re shopping for personal use, there’s no doubt that you’ll be able to get plenty done on the Lenovo ThinkPad L480.

Pros and Cons of Lenovo Built Business Laptop

Pros:

  • Affordable business laptop
  • Excellent keyboard, display
  • Fingerprint reader and IR camera
  • Sturdy build quality

Cons:

  • Not much of a looker
  • Poor sound quality, webcam
  • Limited storage, no SSD option

Drawbacks of Lenovo Built Business Laptop

But the T480 isn’t perfect. It has a few little drawbacks, including:

  • Sound quality: The built-in speakers offer decent volume but not much more, and the music sounds hollow and tinny. This is fine for dictating a few memos or watching some business videos, but it’s not going to be your go-to entertainment machine.
  • Webcam: The 720p camera on this laptop offers passable picture quality, which is probably all you need for a work device. However, there’s no facial recognition ability here; if that’s something you want, look elsewhere.
  • Limited storage (and no SSD option): Again, we’re dealing with a laptop made for business use here—so if you need extra storage space to store family photos or movies or anything like that, then you’ll have to take other factors into account when shopping around.

As far as carrying capacity goes, the T480 will hold its own against many of its competitors at 20 pounds (with the DVD drive). If that’s still too much weight for your travel needs, then consider cutting it down by getting rid of the DVD drive altogether. This can save up to half a pound.

Lenovo built a large device, but the end result is a modest laptop that doesn’t look too big, but still has a 15.6-inch screen.

While Lenovo has built a large device, the end result is a modest laptop that doesn’t look too big, but still has a 15.6-inch screen. You can easily slip it into a briefcase and take it around, to meetings or conferences.

It’s also quite light, compared to other 15-inch laptops and similar in size to many 15-inchers with an even larger footprint. But the Yoga 720 still manages to pack a 15.6-inch screen and larger than average battery inside its all metal body that weighs just 3.64 pounds (1.65 kg).

The keyboard is raised in the center and makes for more comfortable typing.

  • The keyboard is raised in the center and makes for more comfortable typing
  • The trackpad is responsive and accurate, and the buttons are nice, soft, and easy to click.
  • Screen quality is good, but not outstanding. It has a matte finish (no reflections), which can make things look dull, but it’s very bright.

The textured touch pad uses Microsoft’s precision drivers for a better experience, and supports all the multi-touch gestures you’re used to on Windows laptops (two-finger scrolling, pinch-to-zoom, three finger swipes, etc.)

The USB Type-C port works with DisplayPort and Power Delivery to charge the laptop and connect it to an external display.

The USB Type-C port works with DisplayPort and Power Delivery to charge the laptop and connect it to an external display. It can also be used to connect the laptop to a USB Type-C hub, a USB Type-C dock, or a USB Type-C adapter.

Lenovo loaded this business laptop with security features that you won’t find in other devices. It has a fingerprint reader on the side of the machine that you can use to log into your computer, as well as an infrared camera for facial recognition login using Windows Hello.

Windows Hello is a more convenient way to log in to your Windows 10 devices without the hassle of typing a password. It uses biometric security, meaning that it recognizes you based on your physical features. Windows Hello supports facial recognition and fingerprint scanning, so all you have to do is look at or touch your device for it to recognize you and log you in.

If your device has a fingerprint reader or an Intel RealSense camera, such as the ThinkPad Yoga 260, then it will support Windows Hello. Even if your device doesn’t have one of these sensors built-in, you can still use Windows Hello by plugging in an external camera or USB fingerprint reader into one of the USB ports on your laptop.

You can also use Windows Hello with apps that are integrated with Microsoft Passport without having to type a password. All you need is the app from the Microsoft Store and supporting hardware (fingerprint reader or RealSense camera). You’ll no longer have to enter credentials for authentication when using those apps; just look at the camera or touch the fingerprint sensor and off you go!

The company’s active protection system also kicks in to automatically back up your work if it detects impact or movement.

In addition to being a great laptop for business, the Lenovo has several security features that make it ideal for business travel. First, there’s the active protection system, which automatically backs up your work in case of impact or movement on the part of the laptop. To protect against data loss while traveling, this system works in the background and can be disabled if desired.

Then there’s the fingerprint reader and infrared camera authentication technology (which you might recognize from watching any sci-fi movie ever), allowing you to log in with just one swipe of your finger or a look into the camera. This makes it easy to secure your data even when traveling with limited options for accessing your files remotely.

The Lenovo ThinkPad T570 is all about balance — between style and substance, price and performance, size and portability — making it one of the most well-rounded laptops you can buy.

…I’m the Lenovo ThinkPad T570, a top-notch business laptop that’s as affordable as it is capable.

You don’t have to worry about me being fragile or breaking down on you. I’m built tough with a stylish magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis that can withstand minor drops, extreme heat and pressure. If you’re looking for an extremely mobile laptop, then I may not be the best choice for you because of how big and heavy I am — but if you want a solid workhorse by your side, then look no further.

If you choose me, here are just some of my features:

  • Resolution: 1920 x 1080 pixels
  • Battery life: 8 hours and 5 minutes
  • Performance: Intel Core i5-7300U processor; 256GB PCIe SSD; 8GB RAM DDR4 SDRAM 2133 MHz
  • Security Features: Fingerprint Reader (which means no one can steal your data)

Pros and Cons of 2017 Lenovo Built Business Laptop

Pros

  • Large display
  • Good performance
  • Excellent battery life

Cons

  • Dim display
  • No USB-C charging
  • Expensive

Drawbacks of 2017 Lenovo Built Business Laptop

While the ThinkPad T470 is far from perfect, it’s still a great choice for such a wide range of business users. It has an excellent keyboard and trackpad, as well as long battery life. However, there are some drawbacks to consider before buying.

  • The ThinkPad T470 is thicker than other laptops with 14-inch displays. It measures 0.79 inches thick compared to the Dell Latitude 14 7000 Series (0.72 inches) and the HP EliteBook 1040 G4 (0.70 inches).
  • No option for dedicated graphics card (GPU). This laptop does have integrated Intel HD Graphics 620, which should be enough for most users who require light photo editing or just want to watch streaming video in their free time on the computer. However, if you need something more powerful for intensive graphics apps like AutoCAD or Adobe Photoshop CC, then you’ll need to invest in a more expensive model with a discrete GPU like the Lenovo ThinkPad P50s or HP ZBook 15u G4 Workstation Ultrabook mobile workstation.
  • No Thunderbolt 3 ports available in this notebook yet; however this feature may be added later when new models come out next year so keep an eye out.

Laptop Type: Mainstream

Labels like “mainstream,” “budget,” and “hybrid” are broad descriptions that define a laptop’s purpose rather than its specific features. Each description is intended to help you choose a model that meets your needs.

  • Mainstream: A mainstream laptop is designed for everyday work and entertainment tasks—like browsing the web, watching videos, and office productivity. They usually have screens ranging in size from 13 to 15 inches, weigh 4 to 6 pounds, and run on Intel Core i3 or i5 processors.
  • Budget: The budget category covers laptops ranging in price from $200 to $600 (and sometimes more). These models typically come with low-power Celeron or AMD processors, small hard drives (usually 64GB), 2GB of RAM, and 11-inch displays. Some budget laptops offer an acceptable level of performance, but others are just barely capable of running basic programs—and often suffer from a low level of build quality as well.
  • Hybrid: Most hybrid laptops give you the option to detach the keyboard so you can use the device as a tablet; others have rotating hinges that allow you to fold the display back 360 degrees so that it rests flush against the keyboard base. Most hybrids fall into either the mainstream or ultrabook categories; some also include touchscreens and stylus input like tablets do (though they’re not quite as portable).

Processor Brand: Intel

You may be asking yourself, “What is a processor?” The processor is the brain of a computer, and it’s essential to understand how processors work in order to make an informed decision when you purchase a new laptop.

Intel and AMD are the two largest manufacturers of processors for laptop computers—and Intel is by far the most popular. Intel’s i3, i5, and i7 processors are generally considered to be good for everyday use, while their powerful Core and Xeon processors are better if you frequently work with demanding applications like video editing software, or need to run several programs at once.

Operating System: Windows 10

Windows 10, the latest operating system, offers a dynamic and intuitive user interface, with both traditional and tablet modes. The result is an engaging and interactive computing experience, enhanced by Cortana, which works across all your Windows 10 devices to help you get things done. The familiar Start menu is back too, giving quick one-click access to the functions and files that people use most. In addition to improved security features like BitLocker encryption and Windows Hello support for biometric logins, Windows 10 also includes Microsoft Edge—an all-new browser that’s built to give you a better web experience.

HDD Size: 1 TB or more

  • 1TB or more – The HDDs in this class have plenty of space for all your programs, videos, photos and other files. They’re ideal for storing thousands of hours of music or countless family photos and videos.

Hybrid hard drive or SSD?

For most users, an HDD will serve you best for the following reasons:

  • You’re looking for a budget laptop, because HDDs are less expensive than SSDs with equivalent storage capacity.
  • You’re looking to store lots of files at once (like thousands of songs or vast photo libraries), because HDDs typically offer more storage capacity than SSDs.

SSD-only laptops are typically thinner and lighter than their HDD counterparts because they contain no moving parts, while some hybrid models include both an HDD and a small solid state drive to improve boot times. If you don’t need lots of storage space but want faster boot speeds, look into one of these hybrid models.

HDD Type : Hybrid

HDD Type: Hybrid

Hybrid drives are a combination of hard disk and solid state drive, often called SSHDs. In general, the SSHD will contain some flash memory that is used as cache for the hard drive. When you boot your computer or laptop, it’s likely that the operating system will be loaded from the HDD, but subsequent commonly used programs will be loaded from the SSD portion of the hybrid drive. The idea is to get a cost effective storage solution with some speed increase when using commonly used programs and booting up your computer.

The benefits of hybrid drives are increased performance over traditional HDD drives while maintaining a larger storage capacity compared to SSDs. The drawbacks are that they have lower performance than SSDs and most have no option for increasing its size later on — you’re stuck with what you bought. If you don’t need large amounts of space nor do you want to spend money on an SSD then this may be an appropriate choice for your machine.

Fusion drives act similarly to hybrid drives in that they combine flash memory and HDD into one drive with both technologies working together seamlessly. However, hybrids use dedicated flash memory where fusion has less control over which files are kept in flash memory resulting in limited write speed increases over HDDs although read speeds remain similar (or similar to those found on hybrids). Fusion was introduced by Apple so it is natively supported only on their machines.

Your new laptop comes with a 2 year warranty that begins on the purchase date.

Your warranty begins on the purchase date of your laptop and covers both parts and labor for all hardware repairs required by manufacturing defects. It is an on-site service. Accidental damage or theft is not covered.

Pros and Cons of Lenovo ideapad 300 – 17.3″ Laptop

Pros:

  • Good battery life
  • Narrow screen bezels
  • Great keyboard and touchpad
  • Strong overall performance

Cons:

  • Not-so-good battery life
  • Awkward touchpad buttons

Drawbacks of Lenovo ideapad 300 – 17.3″ Laptop

You’re not going to get a lot of space to work with here, especially if you like playing demanding games or downloading lots of files. The hard drive only has 500GB capacity, which is barely enough for a few HD movies (or your collection of cat videos). The battery life is also quite poor: Lenovo promises around four hours on the website, but many users report much less than that. The screen size is also prohibitive for those who want to use their laptop in varied conditions: it runs at 17.3″ diagonally and can be difficult to use on your lap or in cramped spaces like airplanes.

Introducing the 2018 HP 17.3-inch 17z laptop, a solid and affordable option that meets all your basic computer needs while offering some exciting features. The 2018 HP 17.3-inch 17z laptop has a 17.3-inch display, an AMD Ryzen 3 processor, integrated AMD Radeon Vega 3 Graphics, 8 GB DDR4 memory, 128 GB SSD storage, Windows 10 Home 64 operating system and weighs 2.05 kg

This is a good budget laptop with a large screen size (17 inches). It’s perfect for watching movies or streaming TV shows in bed!

Laptop Design

  • The laptop is made of plastic and the area beneath the keyboard flexes in places. However, this can be seen as a common problem with laptops at this price.
  • The laptop has a textured lid which makes it more durable than many other laptops such as the Dell Inspiron i3567-3636BLK-PUS 15.6-inch Laptop or the ASUS VivoBook F510UA-AH55.

Operating System and Software

Underneath the slick exterior lies a powerful operating system. The 2018 HP 17.3-inch 17z Laptop offers you the speed and simplicity of Windows 10, which has been called “the best Windows ever.” In addition to its streamlined user interface, Windows 10 boasts a host of useful features. To name just one example, “Windows Hello” allows you to sign into your computer with your fingerprint or face, eliminating the need for a lengthy password.

The 2018 HP 17.3-inch 17z Laptop also comes equipped with some great software. You can create presentations with Microsoft PowerPoint and stay organized by using Microsoft OneNote to take notes on the go; these programs come pre-installed on every 2018 HP 17.3-inch 17z Laptop PC sold in North America and Asia Pacific regions starting December 31st 2017 (everywhere else by June 30th 2020).

2018 HP 17.3-inch 17z Laptops do not come preloaded with any other software beyond those mentioned above, so if you’re looking for something specific—like an application that will help you curate playlists for your laser light show business—you’ll want to make sure it’s compatible before purchasing this laptop.

Processor and Graphics Test

This laptop is equipped with a dual core AMD A9-9425 processor, 8GB DDR4 RAM, and a 1TB 7200RPM HDD. The display is a 17.3 inch HD+ SVA BrightView WLED-backlit Display that has 1600 x 900 resolution. It also comes with Windows 10 Home in S Mode preinstalled (this can be upgraded to the standard version of Windows 10). Graphics are provided by an integrated AMD Radeon R5 graphics card.

Display

The HP 17z’s display is a 17.3-inch diagonal HD+ SVA BrightView WLED-backlit touch screen with 1600 x 900 resolution, 250 nits brightness and 16:9 aspect ratio. The display supports 10 touch points and responds best to fingers.

Audio Test

The speakers are capable of filling a small room, but the sound is not very loud. The quality is clear, but at full volume you can hear some distortion in bass heavy tracks such as Lil Wayne’s “Prom Queen”.

Camera Test

You’ll find the camera in the top center of this laptop’s keyboard area. We’ve seen much better cameras. However, you’ll get decent enough performance for video conferencing and Skype calls. The HP 17z-inch’s camera produced dull colors and dark images with a lot of noise, even though we were in a well-lit room. To put it into perspective, we started by taking a picture with an iPhone 6s Plus (which has a 12-megapixel rear camera) then took another photo with the HP 17z-inch’s 720p webcam to show that you can clear up your photos using an inexpensive smartphone instead of this laptop.
