Best Macbook For Serato DJ Pro

Serato DJ Pro is a software that can be used on a Macbook. The software is designed for professionals and provides DJs with the necessary tools to create music mixes. The application bears many similarities with other popular DJ programs, but it also has some features that are unique to its brand.

Serato DJ Pro is more than just a music editing tool, as it also allows users to mix multiple audio tracks at once, using one of the many different transitions and effects provided by the application.

The program comes with a built-in sampler that allows DJs to load samples and then play them with the help of an external device, such as an analog turntable. All the effects and transitions that are included in the program can be customized by adjusting certain parameters or by simply dragging and dropping them into place.

Serato DJ Pro also comes with a mixer that enables DJs to create their own unique mixes, by selecting various transition types or applying ear-catching effects to the audio tracks they are playing.

Dell XPS 15 9560 4K UHD Touch (3840 x 2160) 7th Gen Intel i7-7700HQ was released this year in January. The Dell XPS 15 9560 4K UHD Touch (3840 x 2160) 7th Gen Intel i7-7700HQ is one of the most wanted laptops for photography even if it doesn’t have a touch screen display. It has a great build quality with high performing hardware components and the best display in its category! This is why photographers love it!

Processor: 7th Generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ Quad Core (6MB Cache, up to 3.8 GHz), Windows 10 Home 64-bit English

The 7th Generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ Quad Core (6MB Cache, up to 3.8 GHz), Windows 10 Home 64-bit English is one of the fastest processors available today. Everything you do on your laptop will be done in a jiffy. It rarely lags and lets you take advantage of the latest software such as Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word, etc. You should definitely get this processor if you’re looking for one that’s fast and reliable.

15.6″ 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160) InfinityEdge touch display; Fingerprint reader/SD card reader

What’s not to like? A lot, actually. The 4K display is gorgeous and rich in color, and the screen’s anti-glare coating makes it a good option for outdoor users, but the display significantly reduces performance. A few times each day I saw a blue flashing screen appear on my XPS 15 causing me to panic that I would be completely lost without my computer. Dell says this is caused by settings not syncing properly between Windows and the graphics processor.

The fingerprint reader on this system is also barely above useless (mixed with Windows Hello facial recognition), as it rarely unlocks for me in the first try or two. And the SD card reader was flaky when it worked at all, spewing errors from time to time saying it couldn’t read cards despite having nothing wrong with them.

Killer 1535 802.11ac 2×2 WiFi and Bluetooth 4.1; Thunderbolt 3

The Killer 1535 is a highly-reliable long-range WLAN card. It can cover the typical home with ease, and it’s great for those who use the internet at work or school. Those in urban areas with plenty of radio interference may find other solutions more reliable, but for most people, the Killer 1535 is a solid choice that lets you game without lag and stream video without buffering.

If you’re looking for something to pair with this WiFi card, I’d suggest an inexpensive desktop PC if you need something compact; these days, desktops are usually less pricey than laptops for equivalent hardware specifications. If you’re looking for an affordable laptop computer instead, I’d recommend something like the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming series; it offers decent performance at an affordable price.

pro and cons of Dell XPS 15 9560 4K UHD Touch (3840 x 2160) 7th Gen Intel i7-7700HQ

  • Good battery life
  • Good screen
  • Good keyboard
  • Good speakers
  • Good performance
  • Good build quality
  • Good overall value

  • Limited port selection: no ethernet port, no VGA port, no optical drive. Not even a fingerprint scanner.

drwabacks of Dell XPS 15 9560 4K UHD Touch (3840 x 2160) 7th Gen Intel i7-7700HQ

We love the Dell XPS 15—it’s portable and powerful, with a gorgeous display. But it’s not perfect. Aside from its high price, we found a few other issues.

First, the battery life could be better—about 6 or 7 hours if you use it for video streaming and web browsing (but obviously much less if you play games). Also, there were issues with the trackpad and keyboard that may bother some users. Although we prefer the matte screen to one that’s glossy, some reviewers complain that it can be hard to view in bright sunlight or well-lit rooms (so try before you buy). Finally, we wish it had a smaller bezel around its screen (as on Dell’s newer InfinityEdge models), but this is more of an aesthetic issue.

ASUS ZenBook Pro 15 Laptop, 15.6” UHD 4K Touch, Intel Core i9-8950HK, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB PCIe SSD (as tested)

Backlit KB and NumberPad | Windows 10 Pro

The ASUS ZenBook Pro is an ultralight laptop with a stellar touchpad and keyboard and plenty of processing power to handle all but the most demanding tasks. Its Nvidia MX150 graphics card and 512GB solid state drive give it a boost over its competitors in the portable gaming department. If you find yourself craving a bigger screen for your favorite titles or multitasking in general, the ZenBook Pro offers you more real estate than most laptops in this category without sacrificing too much in terms of portability.

Exclusive ErgoLift design for improved typing position. Vibration speaker system.

Asus has designed its ZenBook Pro with the convenience of the user in mind. The ErgoLift hinge elevates the keyboard and tilts it, creating a more comfortable typing position. It also facilitates better cooling by allowing air to flow freely underneath the laptop. The backlit keys are well spaced and easy to type on, and they have a 1.5mm travel distance for a more responsive feel. The precision touchpad is large and responsive, making it pleasant to use.

The audio quality is great thanks to Asus’s exclusive dual-function touchpad that doubles as a soundbar for its quad-speaker system—a setup that provides four times louder sound than normal laptops and immersive audio with deep lows. This isn’t something you’ll find on many other laptops, let alone at this price point!

Slim-bezel NanoEdge touchscreen display with exquisite 4K Ultra HD detail and 1080p HD camera.

While it’s easy enough to find a laptop that offers 4K resolution, this is the first time I’ve ever seen one with a NanoEdge display. This Asus technology shrinks the bezels around the screen to nearly invisible levels and makes the ZenBook Pro 15 look more like a piece of paper than a gadget. It’s fantastic!

For those who aren’t familiar with these terms, NanoEdge refers to an extremely thin border around the display. The ZenBook Pro 15 is surrounded on three sides by edges measuring only 7.3mm thick, which means that its 15.6-inch screen fits into what would normally be considered 14-inch laptop territory—and in fact, weighs about as much as many models from that class. That’s pretty impressive for something that packs an ultra high-definition 4K display (3840×2160 pixels of real estate) and even has touchscreen functionality, neither of which is universal in such compact packages yet.

Latest 8th generation Intel i9-8950HK Hexa-Core 2.9 GHz (Turbo up to 4.3GHz) Processor with discrete NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics.

The unique feature of the ASUS ZenBook Pro 15 is its ability to run in four different modes for different tasks. I’ll explain what you can do with each type, but first let’s look at the specifications:

Core i9-8950HK Processor (Hexa-core / Hyperthreading / 6MB L3 Cache)

• Turbo boost up to 4.3 GHz;

• Intel® HD Graphics 630 Integrated Graphics

• 6MB shared Intel® Smart Cache Memory;

• 15 Watt TDP Battery Range: 10 to 15 hours (2SIXTY); 8 to 10 hours (4SIXTY): Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64/64bit Professional Edition and Windows 10 Professional 64bit Home Edition; Warranty: 1 Year Limited Warranty and 2 Year Onsite Service with ASUS Global Technical Support at no extra cost.

Keyboard quality was good, although it’s nowhere near as good as my efforts on mechanical keyboards. It’s also a little wider than most laptops and harder to type on one hand, which makes it more comfortable when I use only one finger typing. Much better than my Logitech G910 Orion Spark though! The touchpad was okay, although sometimes it felt like there was some lag between the touchpad and cursor movement when moving through menus or dialog boxes. Luckily there wasn’t much clicking involved in any of them so it wasn’t too annoying. The battery life is excellent – probably about 12 hours without gaming or watching movies! The screen resolution was excellent for both writing and viewing text documents, but couldn’t maintain a constant 60 Hz refresh rate during video playback without turning down the graphics settings a little bit low (as well as using an external display instead). This can be a problem if you’re doing some CAD work where you might want a smoother view of your model or something similar – but otherwise this laptop is great for playing games, editing photos/videos, working with design software like Photoshop or InDesign

16GB DDR4 (2x 8GB) RAM, PCIE NVME 512GB SSD + empty 1x SATA slot (no SD Card reader).

This laptop is a powerhouse. It packs a ton of power in a sleek, modern design. It’s got 16GB DDR4 RAM and 512GB PCIe SSD with an additional 1x SATA slot available. There’s no optical drive or SD Card reader, however.

pro and cons of ASUS ZenBook Pro 15 Laptop, 15.6”

  • The 15.6-inch OLED 4K touch display, which has a 3840 x 2160 resolution with VESA DisplayHDR 400, is one of the best laptop screens we’ve ever seen.
  • The ScreenPad Plus can be set to behave like a touchpad or an Android tablet—or both at the same time. You are able to drag and drop apps and use swipe gestures on the screen while using it as a touchpad
  • The IR camera on this machine has Windows Hello support and works with Windows Hello Face Authentication for quickly logging into Windows 10.

  • Battery life is poor, lasting 7 hours in our battery test (continuous web surfing over Wi-Fi at 150 nits of brightness). This nearly dead laptop weighed 3.4 pounds, and put out bottom-of-the-barrel numbers: 2,873 points on Geekbench 5’s single-core test, and 5,839 points when running the multi-core test; 55 fps on Heaven; 37 fps on Valley; and 1 minute and 23 seconds to complete the photo editing test in ACDsee Pro Essentials. And it got 14 fps on Dirt 3 Racing — below our 30 fps playability threshold.

This laptop will give you a great 4K experience, both from the screen and from the built-in camera

As a person who enjoys videoconferencing, I’m always on the lookout for ways to upgrade my experience. I nearly fell out of my chair when I realized the ASUS ZenBook Pro 15 laptop offers a built-in 4K camera, giving me an amazingly clear picture and great sound. The high resolution also makes this perfect for all sorts of other things, like taking snapshots or recording videos. I also liked that it’s got a sturdy body, so it doesn’t feel flimsy at all. Many laptops have weak bodies and are made from substandard materials that degrade quickly over time, but not the ASUS ZenBook Pro 15; this machine is made to last and has proven itself more than capable of withstanding my daily use.

Drwabacks of ASUS ZenBook Pro 15 Laptop, 15.6”

The 4K screen is a real battery killer, so you’ll have to find somewhere to plug in during longer work sessions. If you do go for the 4K version, the battery life of 5-6 hours should be enough to get you through a day (if not much more). But if you can cope with a lower resolution screen you’ll get up to 9.5 hours on a single charge.

The keyboard isn’t great either – it’s fine to write short emails on, but if your job involves writing reports or long emails all day then this won’t be the laptop for you.

The touchpad can also be a little bit fiddly at times. It’s nice and big and responsive, but it does feel unusual these days to not have any kind of physical buttons built into it – particularly when there are so many other great touchpads around that make this kind of design choice look outdated.

Overall though, this is an excellent laptop that offers a big helping of what makes Apple laptops stand out from most Windows alternatives: incredibly powerful hardware in a beautifully designed package at an affordable price point (relatively speaking).

3.Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming

SeriesAcer Predator Series
Specific Uses For ProductPersonal, gaming
Screen Size15.6 Inches
Operating SystemWindows 10
Human Interface InputTouch Pad

Hard Disk Size256 GB

The Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop is the best gaming laptop in the market today and you will love it.

It is a powerful, entry-level gaming machine that’s available at an attractive price.

It has a few drawbacks but nothing serious as long as you know what to expect.

In other words, it’s not a machine for those who seek high-end performance and perfection.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Overclockable Graphics with 6 GB of dedicated GDDR5 VRAM

In the Acer Predator Helios 300, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Overclockable Graphics with 6 GB of dedicated GDDR5 VRAM supplies a solid foundation for your gaming experience. The graphics card utilizes random access memory (RAM) to support visual computing tasks such as rendering 3D images, calculating physical simulations, and streamlining real-time video processing. In this case, GDDR5 (Graphics Double Data Rate 5) is a type of graphic RAM that allows for higher data transfer rates than previous generations of graphics cards. In other words, it will get the job done when you need it to.

7th Generation Intel Core i7 Processor (Up to 3.8 GHz)

It’s important to remember the difference between Intel Core i7, Intel Core i5 and Intel Core i3.

The performance of all processors is measured in gigahertz, or GHz. With many different types of processors available in a computer system, it can be difficult to compare them directly by this value alone. The easiest way to compare processor performance is by dividing the model number by 100 (e.g., an Intel Core i7-8700K with a model number of 8700 becomes 87) and using that result to refer to the relative specifications of each processor family. For example, an Intel Core i7 performs better than an Intel Core i5; likewise, an Intel Core i9 outperforms an Intel Core i7 processor.

16GB DDR4 Memory & 256GB SSD

Memory is one of the most important aspects of a gaming laptop: it determines how quickly your computer can load information as needed. But, how much memory is enough? How much is too much?

Generally, 8 GB of memory should be plenty for all but the most demanding games. However, if you’re playing something like “The Witcher 3,” which demands a lot from your computer’s processor and GPU (graphics processing unit), you may want to go up to 16 GB or even 32 GB so that you can play at the highest settings without any hiccups in performance.

There are different types of RAM available for gaming laptops, too: DDR3L and DDR4 being the most common. DDR4 is faster than DDR3L, so it will allow you to load information more quickly, but because there are fewer devices that support DDR4 for now, it costs slightly more than its predecessor. If your main concern isn’t speed but saving some money on an already pricey device (and who can blame you?), then consider older models with DDR3L memory instead.

Acer offers both 256GB solid-state drive (SSD) and 1TB hard disk drive (HDD) options on this model—enough storage space for all but the heaviest gamers out there. Normally when choosing between SSDs and HDDs, SSDs are recommended because they load games far faster than HDDs do; however, they also cost more per gigabyte of storage space offered than HDDs do.”

  • Red Backlit Keyboard: The red backlit keyboard illuminates your way in dark environments and looks really cool.
  • Killer Gaming Network E2500: The Killer Gaming Network E2500 automatically detects and accelerates game traffic ahead of other network traffic for smoother, stutter-free in-game performance and the competitive edge.
  • Killer DoubleShot Pro Wireless-AC 1535 802.11ac: This allows you to lower latency and prioritize gaming network traffic over others for smoother, stutter-free in-game performance.
  • 4th Gen All-Metal AeroBlade 3D Fan: The all-new 4th Gen aeroblade metal fan design offers a quieter and cooler gaming experience than traditional fans.

Up to 6-hours Battery Life

Battery life

Gaming laptops are notorious for their short battery life, but the Predator Helios 300 has a respectable six hours of battery life. In our benchmark tests, we were able to run the laptop continuously for nearly seven hours while in power saver mode and doing basic tasks like browsing the web and streaming music. When using the laptop on high performance settings while gaming or running demanding programs, you’ll get about three hours of use.

pro and cons of Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop, 15.6″

The pros of the Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop, 15.6″ are plentiful and compelling. With this laptop you get an Intel Core i7 7700HQ (2.8 – 3.8 GHz) processor, 16GB DDR4 Memory, 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD storage, and a 15.6” FHD (1920 x 1080) widescreen LED-backlit IPS display which is ideal for gaming on the go as it provides fast frame rates and sharp detail for graphics-intensive games with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Overclockable Graphics with 6 GB of dedicated GDDR5 VRAM. The laptop comes with USB 2.0 port x 4 (one featuring power-off charging), HDMI 2.0 with HDCP support, Mini Display Port 1.3 port, and Gigabit Ethernet port in addition to wireless connectivity through 802.11ac WiFi featuring 2×2 MU-MIMO technology and Bluetooth 4.0

The only real con is that there’s not enough space in our carry-on luggage to bring this laptop along on every trip we take!

This is a good computer if you like to game.

If you want to game, this computer is good for gaming. If you want to game and watch your favorite TV show on Netflix, this computer is good for that too. And if you want to do a lot of other things with it that aren’t gaming, even still, this computer is good for those things as well.

The Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop has 6GB of memory, which makes it totally sweet at multitasking. It also has display options like Full HD and widescreen viewing that really make the whole experience more enjoyable—as if watching your favorite show in high definition wasn’t enough! The 256GB solid state drive offers fast booting time so when you’re ready to get going then it won’t take long before being able to start using this awesome laptop right out of the box! This laptop also comes equipped with some cool features like fast-charge battery life (up to six hours) and Intel® Optane™ memory which will provide additional storage space when needed most–even if there are a lot of large files on board already such as movies or games

drwabacks of Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop

The Acer Predator Helios 300 is a great mid-range gaming laptop, but there are a couple of downsides. First, it’s slightly too heavy for a laptop—it weighs 5.95 pounds. If you’re going to be toting your computer back and forth between work and home or on the road, this may be an issue. Second, it’s only a 15 inch screen. This is pretty standard for a mid-range gaming laptop—if you want something larger, you’ll probably have to pay more for it.

4.2020 Apple MacBook Pro

Model NameMacBook Pro

Operating SystemMac OS
Human Interface InputKeyboard
CPU ManufacturerApple
Graphics Card DescriptionIntegrated

Connectivity TechnologyBluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB

Welcome to the 2020 Apple MacBook Pro with Apple M1 Chip. The 2020 Apple MacBook Pro with Apple M1 Chip is the best laptop available today, and it’s thinner and lighter than ever. The new 13-inch model is 24% thinner, weighing only 3 pounds (1.3 kilograms), while the redesigned 16-inch model has been reduced to 5 mm thin at its thinnest point, while still weighing only 4.3 pounds (2 kilograms).

Both models feature Apple’s own custom silicon M1 chip for faster performance — up to 2x CPU and up to 5x GPU compared to the previous generation — all in a fanless design for silent operation. They also feature enhanced battery life of up to 20 hours of wireless web browsing or 18 hours of video playback on a single charge, which is double that of their predecessors.

1.7 GHz Apple M1 Chip (8-Core CPU, 8-Core GPU)

The Apple M1 chip is a system on a chip (SoC) with an 8-core CPU and 8-core GPU. It features four high performance cores and four high efficiency cores, which are designed to deliver the best balance of both energy efficiency and performance. The eight-core GPU offers up to 2x faster graphics than the previous generation, while the 16-core Neural Engine offers an 11x jump in machine learning performance.

8GB Unified Memory (RAM)

8GB of RAM is a good amount of memory for most users, and more than sufficient for those who only do casual gaming. 8GB is the minimum amount of RAM recommended for 2020, but some users may want to consider upgrading to 16GB or 32GB if they’re doing power-intensive activities like video editing on a regular basis.

The MacBook Pro also comes with 256 GB of storage standard meaning you can store about 9 movies on your computer as well as your photos, music, and documents. If you think you’ll be downloading everything from streaming platforms and uploading very large files such as 4K video then you’ll probably want to go with the 512 GB option when ordering your MacBook Pro.

256GB PCI-E based SSD Storage

PCI Express (PCIe) is currently the fastest solid state drive (SSD) interface, and it should provide the highest performance. PCIe SSDs are more expensive than SATA SSDs and thus are typically used in servers and high-end desktop computers. PCIe SSDs typically provide greater bandwidth than SATA SSDs, making them faster.

13.3″ IPS Retina Display (2560×1600), True Tone Technology, P3 Color Gamut

The 2020 Apple MacBook Pro features a 13.3″ Retina display with up to 500 nits of brightness, wide enough coverage of the P3 color gamut and True Tone technology for enhanced color accuracy, so images look vivid and true-to-life. The 2560 x 1600 resolution gives you plenty of screen space to work with, while the 218 ppi pixel density ensures that text, graphics, and videos are clear. The M1 chip enables many other improvements over previous models: it can unlock your MacBook in an instant using Touch ID and it allows you to use Apple Pay online or in apps without needing to enter your credit card details. It also has built-in security features like Secure Enclave for storing private data on the Mac’s internal storage drive securely within a dedicated enclave on its A14 Bionic System on Chip (SoC) processor architecture as well as hardware encryption that keeps your data safe when you’re not using it.

On top of all this, Apple’s M1 chip is also incredibly power efficient: when combined with the 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD (Solid State Drive), this laptop can last for up to 20 hours on a single charge!

Integrated Intel Iris Plus Graphics (on i3 model) / Integrated Apple M1 8-Core GPU (on M1 model)

The Good: The latest Apple MacBook Pro is the most powerful and longest-lasting laptop we’ve tested, and with more handy features than ever. The Bad: Other laptops deliver more for less, and you might want to wait for a more refined version of Apple’s new M1 chip.

  • New design is sleeker, smaller, and easier to carry around.
  • Battery life is very good. It lasts around 20 hours on average.
  • Cons:
  • No SD card slot; this makes it difficult to transfer photos from a camera like a DSLR.
  • No touch bar; some people don’t mind this but others do miss the features that the touch bar offers.

The new MacBook Pro is the best laptop available today

The 2020 Apple MacBook Pro M1 is the best laptop you can buy today. It’s not just the fastest Mac we’ve tested, it’s also one of the most powerful laptops that money can buy, period. It’s also a great value — even though the $1,299 price tag is higher than some of its competitors, it offers twice as much storage for the same amount of money.

And even if you’re not looking for a new computer right now, the MacBook Pro is worth buying — thanks to its M1 chip, it’ll be able to run apps designed for Apple Silicon for years to come.

drwabacks of 2020 Apple MacBook Pro with Apple M1 Chip

The 2020 Apple MacBook Pro with Apple M1 Chip is a great choice if you’re looking for a premium laptop. However, the new model has some drawbacks to consider.

  • Price: The price of this product is $1799 and that’s too expensive for many people.
  • Processor: It uses an 8-core processor which is better than many other laptops in the market right now. However, it’s still not as fast as the 10th Gen Intel Core processors available in some Windows laptops, including the Microsoft Surface Laptop 3.
  • RAM: It only comes with 16GB of RAM and you can’t buy more RAM for this product.

pro and cons of HP Spectre x360-16 2-in-1 IPS Laptop

  • gorgeous, high-resolution display;
  • excellent performance;
  • long battery life.

  • runs hot under load; awkward webcam placement

With its suite of cutting-edge features and a gorgeous display, the Spectre x360-16 2-in-1 will keep you productive and entertained for long stretches wherever you go.

With its suite of cutting-edge features and a gorgeous display, the Spectre x360-16 2-in-1 will keep you productive and entertained for long stretches wherever you go. Its strong performance, good battery life, comfortable keyboard, solid audio and fast fingerprint reader help it stand out in the crowd.

The Spectre x360-16 has a 16.1-inch 16:10 display with 4K resolution and WLED backlighting that covers 100% of the DCI P3 color gamut. It also sports Thunderbolt 4 ports to support faster speeds when connected to compatible accessories or displays. However, keep in mind that this laptop is thick at 0.7 inches and weighs 5 pounds. Its port selection is limited as well — it only offers two Thunderbolt ports and IR cameras are missing from this model (although they’re still present on other models). This premium laptop also costs a pretty penny, starting at $1,699 but going up to $2,379 if you want one with more powerful components like an Intel Core i9 processor or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti GPU.

drwabacks of HP Spectre x360-16 2-in-1 IPS Laptop

It’s not all rainbows and unicorns, though. The Spectre x360-16 does suffer from a few drawbacks. The display is only 1920×1080, so our 4K tests went out the window. It’s not terrible, but the viewing angles are less than ideal, and overall there’s a slight lack of contrast. HP says it has improved its screen brightness to 600 nits with this generation of laptops, but even under direct lighting on sunny days we found ourselves bumping up the brightness to maximum just to see what we were doing. We also found the speakers lacking in volume; if you’re going to be blasting music or playing games in public places, bring headphones (or use a Bluetooth speaker).

Windows 10 Home

Windows 10 Home comes pre-installed on this device and unlocks a host of new features. It is the most powerful Windows operating system to date, giving you lightning fast speeds for getting things done or playing games. pro and cons of acer Spin 5 Convertible Laptop, 13.5″

Pros. The Acer Spin 5 is a well-built and great-looking 2-in-1 with a colorful screen, strong performance, and solid battery life.

Cons. The keyboard doesn’t feel as good as we’d expect at this price, and the touchpad is tiny. The Spin 5 also lacks Thunderbolt 3 support for speedy external storage or docking options.

Acer Spin 5 is a stylish and powerful convertible laptop that comes with the latest hardware upgrade in the market and the excellent build quality of Acer. It has a lot of connectivity options and weighs around 1.25 kg which is lightweight for a convertible laptop that can be used as a tablet too. The display is great and it has a good battery backup.

drwabacks of acer Spin 5 Convertible Laptop, 13.5″

On the one hand, you’ll have a lot of power and flexibility at a relatively low price. On the other hand, though, you’ll have to sacrifice in some areas that are becoming more important for many buyers. For example, that battery life isn’t great—you can expect it to last only about five hours on average before needing a recharge. This also means that it’s not a good choice for on-the-go professionals who spend long stretches away from their desks. The backlit keyboard is another weak point; despite being spill-proof, it’s rather uncomfortable—and if your work involves typing all day, this could be an issue.

Intel Core i7-6700HQ 2.6 GHz (Turbo to 3.5 GHz) Processor

The ROG GL552VW-DH74’s display is a 15.6-inch 1920 by 1080 panel with a matte finish. Our review unit came with Intel’s sixth-generation “Skylake” Core i7-6700HQ 2.6GHz (Turbo to 3.5GHz) processor, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, 1TB 7200RPM HDD + 128GB SSD, Windows 10 (64bit), 802.11AC Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, 720p HD web camera, two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.1 Type C port, two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI output and an SDXC card reader.

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M 4GB graphics

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M graphics card comes with 4GB of GDDR5 memory. The dedicated video memory helps to reduce the amount of video RAM that is used by displaying lower resolutions and lower quality settings in games and other applications. You’ll be able to play games at medium-to-high settings with a resolution ranging from 720p to 1080p (depending on how demanding the game is).

The GTX 960M can’t handle ultra quality settings for most of today’s demanding games. Some examples include Overwatch, where the GTX 960M can handle Medium graphics settings at 60 FPS, and PUBG, where it can achieve an average 23 FPS on Medium settings.

RAM: DDR4 1600 MHz SDRAM, 2 x SO-DIMMs socket for expansion up to 32 GB SDRAM

RAM: DDR4 1600 MHz SDRAM, 2 x SO-DIMMs socket for expansion up to 32 GB SDRAM

Storage: 1TB 7200RPM + 128GB SSD

Storage: 1TB 7200RPM + 128GB SSD; Product Dimensions 15 x 10 x 1 inches

As far as internal storage goes, the ASUS ROG GL552VW-DH74 comes with a 1 TB 7200 rpm HDD and 128 GB SSD. The drive’s size is average, but you can upgrade it if you want more space for your games later on. The SSD, on the other hand, allows for faster bootup and loading times.

The ASUS ROG GL552VW-DH74 measures 15 x 10 x 1 inches and weighs 6.4 pounds. This gaming laptop is definitely not lightweight nor portable, but it isn’t too big either—it’s a good balance of practicality and portability.

pro and cons of ASUS ROG GL552VW-DH74 15-Inch Gaming Laptop

Here are the pros and cons of the ASUS ROG GL552VW-DH74 15-Inch Gaming Laptop:

+Fantastic all-around performance. Handling multiple, graphically intense games at once is no problem for this beast. Even when running at low settings in a few games, it’s still able to deliver good results. At 1080p resolution and medium settings, you can even play some older games that may have been optimized for lower resolutions but not designed to run on modern systems.

+Durability seems good—small dent on the lid doesn’t seem like it’ll weaken any components.

  • Noisy fan. The fan sounds like a revving engine, which isn’t exactly pleasing when playing games or watching movies in your bedroom late at night. It can be quite distracting if you have a background noise filter enabled (that sometimes cuts out whispers) because it seems like part of the conversation is going on next door anyway!
  • The touchpad makes tapping difficult sometimes because it feels too stiff to register properly. I prefer typing without a mouse on most laptops but this one gave me headaches because I couldn’t feel what was being pressed down accurately enough to type quickly enough with accuracy (like trying to hit enter with your fingernail). It’s also annoying that you can’t easily assign keys as shortcuts using Windows 10 Home instead of Factory default mode just based off my experience with other models of Asus laptops that feature Windows 10 Home factory default settings without any additional software being installed first—and if anything changes about how parts work then the keyboard shortcuts may change too!

A powerful laptop in this price range

ASUS ROG GL552VW-DH74 15-Inch Gaming Laptop

The ASUS ROG laptop is a powerful and fast gaming machine with a capable dedicated graphics card and an efficient processor. The backlit keyboard and good battery life add to the laptop, making it a very alluring option for gamers who want to play on the go. This gaming laptop will be able to run most recent games at high settings, which makes it a great option for those who need their laptops to have plenty of processing power so they can use heavy programs, like video editing software, in addition to playing games. The USB 3.0 ports are quick and convenient, while the USB 3.1 Type-C port is faster than traditional USB ports. It has a sturdy build, large storage capacity, long battery life, and many connectivity options available as well.

drwabacks of ASUS ROG GL552VW-DH74 15-Inch Gaming Laptop

This laptop is on the bigger side. While its display is only 15.6 inches, this laptop is definitely still hefty enough to be a burden when you need to carry it around all day. This laptop weighs in at 5.6 pounds, which can make lugging it through a long commute or across campus quite exhausting.

8.ASUS VivoBook S15 Thin and Light Laptop

Screen Size15.6 Inches
Operating SystemWindows 10
Human Interface InputKeyboard
CPU ManufacturerIntel
Hard Disk Size256 GB
Processor Count4
Chipset BrandIntel

ASUS VivoBook S15 is an unconventional take on daily computing, showcasing the spirit of the ZenBook series that’s known for premium design and performance. With unique color-blocking design that tells the world that you go against the grain; it features the innovative ASUS ScreenPad™ 2.0 to improve multitasking and change the way you work with your laptop.

The World s Most Immersive NanoEdge Display

The VivoBook S15 offers a 15.6″ Full HD (1920×1080) resolution matte display, with an ultra-narrow 7.8mm NanoEdge bezel along its sides and top which provide it with a screen-to-body ratio of 82%. With its Full HD resolution, the image is sharp and details are clear. The PPI is at 142 PPI which is rather low for a laptop, but pixelation shouldn’t be noticeable unless you’re using it for work that requires extremely fine details, such as photo/video editing or programming.

The good contrast ratio of 1:1350 allows you to see in greater detail when watching HDR video content.

The color accuracy of DeltaE 2.0 is good out of the box and can be further improved by enabling the preinstalled ASUS Splendid app and selecting the “Vivid” or “Eye Care” color preset that lowers the blue light emissions.

The viewing angles are decent as well, so images don’t change much unless you’re looking at the screen from completely odd angles.

The brightness averages at 301 nits – enough to use it outside in most scenarios with only some reflections on the glossy panel surface being visible if outside lighting hits it directly from oblique angles.

Powerful and efficient 8th Generation Intel Core Processor

Intel’s 8th Generation Core i5-8265U is a processor that delivers the perfect combination of performance, connectivity, and features. With a high-bandwidth DDR4 memory controller integrated into the processor die, 8th Generation Intel Core processors enable systems to have up to twice the memory and I/O bandwidth.

Ergonomic backlit keyboard with fingerprint sensor activated via Windows Hello

In addition to a spacious precision-touchpad that has palm-rejection technology and multitouch gesture support, the VivoBook S15 offers an ergonomic backlit keyboard with fingerprint sensor activated via Windows Hello. This enables you to log in with one touch and enjoy speedy, secure authentication. The ergonomic design means increased comfort typing when you’re on the go — even on those days when it feels like your laptop battery is always low because you can never find an outlet.

Comprehensive connections including USB 3.1 Type-C, USB 3.1 Type-A, USB 2.0, and HDMI; Lightning fast WiFi 5 (802.11ac) keeps you connected through any congestion or interference (USB Transfer speed may vary. Learn more at ASUS website)

You’ll also get a generous assortment of ports, including USB-C 3.1 Gen 1, USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A, USB 2.0, HDMI, and a microSD card reader for hassle-free compatibility with most peripherals and devices.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) for ultrafast networking speeds, Bluetooth 4.2, plus the latest Intel Wireless-AC connectivity to ensure fast and reliable internet connections.

pro and cons of ASUS VivoBook S15 Thin & Light Laptop, 15.6”

  • It’s light and thin (but not too thin)
  • Better quality than the Dell XPS 13 (and also cheaper, which is important)
  • The build quality seems to be a bit better than the XPS 13, as well. It feels more solid and sturdy, where the XPS 13 feels like it would break if you dropped it or ruined if you scratched it.
  • The touchpad on this laptop is incredible – easily one of the best I’ve ever used.

15 Thin and lightweight design: 0.7 thin profile and 3.97 lbs weight with 0.3 in bezel for a stunning 80% screen-to-body ratio; Brightness: 250nits; Outdoor readable

The VivoBook S15 offers a slim-bezel NanoEdge display in a frame size that’s typical of smaller displays, so you get more screen area and less bezel. Its 1080p resolution delivers crisp and clear visuals, and the screen is bright enough to use outdoors.

A laptop that is good for a small budget

The ASUS VivoBook S15 Thin & Light Laptop, 15.6” is a great laptop for anyone who wants to purchase the most reliable and high-powered laptop they can afford. A thin and lightweight design makes this laptop very portable, with a bright display that gives you a clear view of everything on your screen. The Asus Vivobook also has a powerful processor, with an 8th generation Intel Core i5-8250U processor that runs at 1.6GHz and can be boosted up to 3.4GHz when you need extra speed and power.

drwabacks of ASUS VivoBook S15 Thin & Light Laptop, 15.6”

As far as drawbacks go, it seems that most users agree that the battery life is pretty poor. While the Asus VivoBook S15 lasts for five to seven hours on a full charge, some reviewers say they can only get four hours of battery life out of their new laptop. This may not be enough juice for you if you need to use your computer without access to an outlet for long periods of time.

Another potential drawback is the keyboard: some reviewers say it’s a bit mushy, and others report that the keys are sticky. This means it could be hard—or even painful—to type on this laptop for long periods of time if you’re not used to having these kinds of keys beneath your fingertips.

Card DescriptionIntegrated
Hard Disk Size256 GB

The Acer Aspire E 15 is the best laptop I’ve ever used, and the best laptop you can buy for the money. Excluding business laptops that are generally more expensive, this is a first-class product at a great value.

I don’t say this lightly. I’m not paid to say it or hype it up—my words are driven by my experiences with the Aspire E 15. It’s simply an excellent product, and I have no reservations giving it a top recommendation for anyone looking for an affordable yet fully capable laptop.

8th Generation Intel Core i5-8250U Processor (Up to 3.4GHz)

The 8th Generation Intel Core i5-8250U Processor is one of the first ones to include four processor cores, which means you won’t see any hiccups in your workflow. It operates at a 1.6GHz base frequency, which can boost up to 3.4GHz when you need some extra power. It also has 6MB of cache so it can pull important information from memory quicker than some other processors.

15.6″ Full HD (1920 x 1080) widescreen LED-lit IPS Display

Acer Aspire E 15 Laptop, 15.6″ Full HD (1920 x 1080)

The product’s display is 1920 x 1080 pixels in resolution, with a full high definition resolution at the 1920 pixel mark and an aspect ratio of 16:9. The Acer Aspire E 15 also has a widescreen LED-backlit IPS display. IPS stands for in-plane switching, which refers to the technology used to create the screen’s larger viewing angles. For example, if you were to watch a movie on one of these monitors and stand directly in front of it, you would be able to see just as much of the screen from any given angle as you would standing directly in front of it. Additionally, because this Acer Aspire E 15 model uses an LED backlight instead of a CCFL one, you can expect improved color accuracy and better performance when viewing your computer from an angle.

8GB Dual Channel Memory & 256GB SSD

Acer Aspire E 15 Laptop, 15.6″

The Acer Aspire E 15 is a laptop that has everything you need for everyday use and some extras to sweeten the deal. It might not have the most powerful hardware components, but it’s lightweight and compact, with a good build quality and a nice keyboard for typing or gaming. The screen is also one of its best features, as it supports touch and pen input as well as an excellent resolution for such a small and light machine. Overall, this is a great laptop for basic computer needs that should be suitable for all but especially those wanting something to use from home on the couch or in bed.

Up to 13.5-hours of battery life

Up to 13.5-hours of battery life lets you enjoy uninterrupted productivity, entertainment and communication. It charges quickly, too — up to 80% in just one hour.

Windows 10 Home

You can do so much with Windows 10 Home. With Cortana enabled, you can use voice commands to open games, search the web, play music and more—just ask. You will also have access to Microsoft Edge, an all-new browser that makes online shopping, research and browsing better than ever.

Also, you will love the built-in security features which help safeguard you against viruses, phishing and malware. You’ll be able to browse confidently with a PC thats up-to-date on the latest threats.

Enhanced viewing with true color brings your photos and videos to life in rich detail; a new desktop scanner lets you scan documents right in Windows; and Microsoft Edge is an all-new browser built to deliver a better web experience.

NVIDIA GeForce MX150 with 2 GB of dedicated GDDR5 VRAM

If you are looking to play games, then the NVIDIA GeForce MX150 with 2 GB of dedicated GDDR5 VRAM will do a good job. It’s not particularly strong, but it’s more than enough for casual gaming and watching HD videos. Just don’t expect to be playing AAA titles like Far Cry 5 on high settings.

pro and cons of Acer Aspire E 15 Laptop, 15.6″

  • The Acer Aspire E 15 is an affordable laptop that has a great price/performance ratio and is one of the cheapest laptops with these specs.
  • A lot of storage for the price (1TB HDD), which makes it a good choice for someone who wants to store their pictures, music and movies on their laptop.
  • 8GB of RAM allows you to multitask between two different programs without the laptop becoming slow or unresponsive.

  • The fan can be noisy when doing something CPU intensive (e.g playing games or editing videos).
  • The touchpad is small.

Cheap laptop with a great price/performance ratio

For those in search of a cheap laptop that still performs decently, this model is a particularly good choice. Price-to-performance ratio is a useful measure for comparing value between competing products and making decisions about what to buy. This particular model from Acer has an excellent price-to-performance ratio, as it offers good performance at a low cost.

drwabacks of Acer Aspire E 15 Laptop, 15.6″

Battery life

It’s not like a car, where you can just fill it up with gas and be on your way; if you don’t know what the battery life is before you buy a laptop, you’re putting yourself at risk of being stuck somewhere with no power. A laptop that drains its battery too quickly can be a hindrance when trying to work on the go, or even when using it around the house. Some laptops do have longer battery lives than others, so keep an eye out for how long other users are reporting between recharges.

The all powerful NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card is capable of handling even the most demanding games with ease so everything from Fortnite Battle Royale to PUBG will run at a buttery smooth 60 frames per second with no dropped frames at all.

New 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8750H (2. 2GHz/4. 1GHz)

The Razer Blade 15 is a gaming laptop that’s powerful, portable, and even pretty, but it has some quirks. While we’re not going to take points off for the keyboard, we’re still a little disappointed.

Keyboard: We’ll get the biggest flaw with the Razer Blade 15 out of the way first: the keyboard. The keys have way too much travel and there’s no backlighting. It’s like using an early 2000s laptop or—worse—something really old fashioned like a typewriter (we’ve heard those can be quite loud).

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Max-P Design VR Ready Graphics

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card is VR Ready, so you can game on your Oculus or Vive headset, taking you even deeper into virtual worlds.

pro and cons of Razer Blade 15: World’s Smallest 15.6″ Gaming Laptop

You will like this product if you are looking for:

  • A lightweight, easy-to-carry laptop that can handle all the latest games on high settings. The Razer Blade 15 is a mere 4.6 pounds — nearly a full pound lighter than its nearest competitor — and it measures a scant 0.7 inches thick. It’s sleek and attractive to boot, with two USB Type-C ports, one USB 3.0 port, and an SD card reader neatly tucked into its aluminum chassis.

But you might not like this product if:

  • You want to save money — but then again, who doesn’t? At $2,000 for the base model (and up to $3,700 for an 18″ model), this is a pricey gaming laptop that doesn’t even come with an extra storage drive or discrete graphics card (though you can add those features onto some models). However, considering what you get in exchange — serious gaming power combined with near-ultrabook weight and size — it might be worth the splurge for some gamers.

World’s Smallest 15.6″ Gaming Laptop

The Razer Blade 15 is the smallest 15.6″ gaming laptop on the market, striking the perfect balance of power and portability.

It’s great for work, great for content creation, and of course, great for gaming. Available in two different models: base model and advanced model. The advanced model comes with a 4K OLED panel which has very vibrant colors, and it’s a touch-screen as well.

drwabacks of Razer Blade 15: World’s Smallest 15.6″ Gaming Laptop

It’s thin, portable and powerful–but there are a few things that might give you pause.

  • The base model comes with a 250GB SSD instead of the standard 500GB. It only has 16GB of RAM at most, which you can’t upgrade to 32GB later on down the road.
  • It lacks G-Sync, so if you’re into competitive gaming and your game doesn’t have VSync built in, it’ll be harder to get that smooth 144fps experience.
  • Some people might find the keyboard and touchpad a bit cramped–the keyboard has decent travel, but they keys are small and close together, while the touchpad is clearly meant for gestures rather than traditional mousing around (it’s small).
