The answer is pretty simple: if you want to stream your game, a powerful computer is required. The biggest problem with using a normal laptop is that it has limited resources, which means that you’ll have to compromise on one of the two things. But if you use a laptop specifically designed for gaming, then you’ll be able to enjoy both games and streaming without any issues.

So how do you choose a good laptop? Let’s take a look at some of the things that you should consider before buying one.

The first thing that you need to consider is the screen size. It’s important to get a screen with enough space for all of your applications, as well as enough room to move around in while playing games or watching videos. You also need to consider whether or not it will be easy to use when traveling or commuting because laptops tend not to have as much space on their keyboards as desktops do.

The new ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo SE 15 Gaming Laptop features a dual-screen design, which makes it stand out in the gaming laptop market. The ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo SE 15 Gaming Laptop is a high-end gaming laptop with a dual-screen design, an Intel Core i9-10980HK processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q GPU. The ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo SE 15 Gaming Laptop has 16GB of RAM, two 512GB NVMe M.2 SSDs and a 1TB HDD for data storage.

The screen on the top row is a 14.1 inch 3840 x 1100 pixel display with 300 nits brightness, 100% sRGB color gamut and 178° viewing angles. The secondary screen is 14 inches diagonal with touch support, 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. It also supports Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, Bluetooth 5 connectivity as well as USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C ports, HDMI 2.0b port and RJ45 Ethernet port

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo SE 15 Gaming Laptop is one of the very best gaming laptops on the market — especially if you’re a creative pro, too. It offers all the most current technology and an incredible processor, not to mention a screen-in-screen that lets you run a second app inside your main screen. The only thing it’s missing is a webcam (which wouldn’t fit with the narrow bezel anyway).

We’re no strangers to ASUS laptops. But even we were intrigued by the ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo SE 15 Gaming Laptop, which has an innovative dual-screen design that makes it ideal for content creators and gamers alike. The compact 15-inch laptop features a 4K display with an ultra-narrow bezel — which means there was no room for a webcam! — as well as a secondary IPS touchscreen above the keyboard for running another window at the same time. It also comes equipped with a powerful 10th-generation Intel chipset and up to 48GB of RAM, so you can multitask like crazy while playing fancy games with killer graphics.

The only catch is that this baby will set you back around $3,500 off the bat, although you can snag one on sale occasionally. If you’re not looking to spend quite that much on a laptop but still need something powerful enough to run games or handle video editing workflows flawlessly, we suggest looking at our other best gaming laptops under $1,000 picks or our favorite laptops for photo editing instead.

It’s expensive, but ASUS knocks it out of the park with this dual-screen laptop. It has incredible graphics capability for gaming, but it also offers amazing tech for gaming as well as work. And if you play games or use demanding software like rendering programs or video editing software, you’ll love how fast and smooth everything runs. Its solid state drive is super quick and responsive, and it has the latest Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.

The latest technology from ASUS is the ROG Zephyrus Duo SE 15 gaming laptop. It has incredible graphics capability for gaming, but it also offers amazing tech for gaming as well as work. If you play games or use demanding software like rendering programs or video editing software, you’ll love how fast and smooth everything runs. Its solid state drive is super quick and responsive, and it has the latest Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.

Its limitation is that, since it’s a gaming laptop, it’s not great for watching movies or TV shows in a dark room—its display isn’t very bright in dim light. And its battery life is relatively short compared to other laptops in its price range. However, if you’re willing to pay more than $2k for a dual-screened laptop with powerful graphics capability and blazingly fast performance, this ASUS model puts the competition to shame.

If you’re looking for a new gaming laptop that can also handle your creative projects like video editing or graphic design, look no further than the ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo SE 15 Gaming Laptop

If you’re looking for a new gaming laptop that can also handle your creative projects like video editing or graphic design, look no further than the ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 Gaming Laptop. It’s built specifically to offer plenty of power for gaming and multitasking, but it’s also flexible enough to handle your creative endeavors as well.

The highlight feature is the laptop’s secondary display. The touch-enabled screen is built into the deck above the keyboard and can be used to run a second app, whether gamepad software or a program dedicated to 3D modeling. You get all of this in an easy-to-carry package that ships with a discrete NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPU (graphics processing unit). In short, this is a powerful laptop that doesn’t skimp on features just because it’s portable.

We tested the ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo SE 15 Gaming Laptop in our lab, checking out how well its second display works, how easily we were able to use it as our main machine, and more. We also put it through several hours of real-world testing across multiple days so that we could see how well it performs in everyday settings.

Pros and Cons of ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo SE 15 Gaming Laptop

Pros:

  • If you’re looking for a gaming laptop with an out-of-this-world, ultra HD 4K display, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo SE 15 does not disappoint. With its 15.6″ NanoEdge bezel display and 300Hz refresh rate, you’ll be able to experience your favorite games as if you were right there in the action.
  • The second screen is extremely versatile and offers many different ways to maximize your gaming experience. You can use it to run multiple games at once while keeping one eye on social media or your chat apps, or use it to keep track of things like Discord channels, Twitch chats and software overlays while still dominating in games like Fortnite.

Cons:

  • It’s on the pricier side (starting at $3999 USD). Although it’s less expensive than some of its competition, this machine is definitely more of an investment than most people are willing to make in a gaming laptop—especially given its battery life (we’ll get into that next).
  • The battery life is not ideal. It lasts about four hours when using the second screen as a touchscreen monitor and really starts suffering when both screens are on full brightness—which may not seem like much but is still enough time for you to finish off those last few levels before needing an outlet!

The only drawbacks of the ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo SE 15 Gaming Laptop are as follows

  • It’s expensive. This is a top-of-the-line gaming laptop, and you’re going to pay for it. The base model still costs almost $3000 USD. If you want to splurge and get the fully tricked out version with all the bells and whistles, you’ll be looking at spending over $5,000 USD.
  • There’s no webcam. This is not a dealbreaker for everyone, but for some of us who work or play online with friends, this might be a drawback. On the other hand, most people think webcams look terrible on laptops anyway—so maybe this isn’t that big of a drawback?
  • It’s super heavy! There’s quite a lot packed into this laptop, so if you’re thinking about getting one, make sure your arms are ready to lift it around every day (and don’t try to open its lid without both hands). It weighs 5 pounds (2 kg) without its charging brick. If you plan on carrying around the whole setup at all times (laptop and charger), then expect to carry about 6 lb 6 oz (3 kg).
  • It has no optical drive! While we can’t deny that those things have fallen out of favor in recent years as devices have gotten smaller and more portable, some gamers might still miss having an optical drive (like a DVD drive) built into their laptop.

Design and Features

The lid of this computer is constructed from magnesium alloy, which offers an excellent balance of heft and rigidity. The interior is similarly well-built, with a tough chassis that’s easy to access and upgrade.

In addition to its durable build, the Alienware M17 R4 features a wide selection of ports for connectivity. On the left side are two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, HDMI 2.0b, Mini DisplayPort 1.4 (a full-size DisplayPort connector), the power jack and Ethernet port. On the right is another pair of USB Type-A ports (these are Gen 1) as well as microphone/headphone combo jack and Thunderbolt 4 port that doubles as a USB Type-C connector.

At 9 pounds and 14 x 12 x 0.9 inches, it’s quite hefty but par for the course among 17-inch laptops like the Gigabyte Aorus 17G (5 pounds, 15 x 10.6 x 0.9 inches) and Origin PC Eon17-X Pro (7 pounds, 16 x 11 x 1 inches).

Display

DISPLAY

The Alienware m17 R4 is equipped with a 17.3 inch IPS LCD display with a 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, 300 nits brightness, and anti-glare display. With NVIDIA G-SYNC technology built in, the refresh rate can be set up to 300 Hz or down to 240 Hz refresh rate based on how you want the game to perform with a 3 ms response time.

Performance

The Alienware M17 R4 is equipped with a 2.2-GHz Intel Core i7-10870H processor, 32GB of RAM and a 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD. The laptop breezed through my workflow, switching between five to 10 Google Chrome tabs and two apps while I wrote a blog post in Microsoft Word.

When we ran the Geekbench 5.3 overall performance test, the Alienware M17 R4 scored an impressive 17,487, crushing the 16,471 premium gaming laptop average. The MSI GT76 Titan DT’s 3.6-GHz Intel Core i9-10980HK CPU managed 13,618 and the Asus RoG Zephyrus Duo 15’s 2-GHz Intel Core i9-10980HK CPU notched 11,827 (both quad cores). The Gigabyte Aero 15 YC’s 2.6-GHz Intel Core i7-10875H CPU wasn’t far behind with 12,068 (octa core).

On our Handbrake video editing test, the Alienware M17 R4 took 20 minutes and 41 seconds to transcode a 4K video to 1080p resolution — short of the 21:22 category average but well ahead of the 29:29 RoG Zephyrus Duo 15 result. The GT76 Titan DT finished in 24:20 and Gigabyte Aero 15 YC completed it in 22:23 (both octa cores).

The Alienware M17 R4 is a gaming laptop that boasts high refresh rate and exceptional performance.

The Alienware M17 R4 is a gaming laptop that boasts high refresh rate and exceptional performance.

This is a *brief* overview of the laptop’s hardware.

The display has a high refresh rate, which is important for gaming.

The graphics card can run games at high resolutions with all the effects turned on so you can truly appreciate the explosions and snowflakes. This is great because it means you don’t have to turn down the settings too much to get good performance, as long as you have enough RAM.

You deserve this laptop!

Pros and Cons of 2021 Alienware M17 R4 Gaming Laptop

b. Pros

  • Top-of-the-line processor and graphics chip
  • Good performance at 1080p and 1440p screen resolutions
  • Excellent battery life (except for 4K model)

c. Cons

  • 4K model can get uncomfortably hot with no way to throttle the CPU and GPU

d. Bottom Line

The 2021 Alienware M17 R4 delivers excellent gaming and overall performance, plus a long runtime on its higher end models, but watch out for the 4k version as it gets really hot.

Drawbacks of 2021 Alienware M17 R4 Gaming Laptop

Another drawback (and one shared by many of its gaming laptop competitors) is that the Alienware M17 R4 has poor battery life. You’ll need to keep it connected to a power outlet during long sessions. It also weighs a hefty 6.9 pounds and measures 1.2 by 16 by 12 inches, so you may have trouble finding the perfect spot for it if you have limited desktop space.

However, given this machine’s high-end components and lofty price tag, we think most shoppers should be able to live with these flaws and make sacrifices elsewhere in order to accommodate them—the payoff will be well worth it for hard-core players who want top-of-the-line performance from their portable gaming rigs.

Lenovo Legion 7i Gaming Laptop is a gamer’s laptop. The slim body with the metal surface design makes it so cool and fancy. You can even choose to DIY your own style of the Legion 7i gaming laptop.

The Legion 7i uses a 9th gen Intel Core CPU and an Nvidia RTX 2070 Super Max-Q GPU, with up to 32GB DDR4 RAM clocked at 2666MHz and 1TB PCIe SSD, making this machine one powerful entertainment machine!

Design and features

The Legion 7i is a big laptop, and it’s not exactly thin either. It’s 0.9 inches thick and weighs 5.6 pounds, so it’s a little too big to comfortably use on a lap. The Legion 7i has a 16-inch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, which means it has an unusually wide screen for its size, giving you more room to spread out your windows without having to scroll as much in web browsers or documents.

Performance

The Legion 7i has a 9th-Gen Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA RTX 2060 GPU. Performance-wise, I was able to quickly load games like Overwatch and League of Legends. The 512GB SSD helps to make this laptop feel snappy. You’ll be able to play some of your favorite titles at 90 frames per second with minimal stutter. The RTX 2060 GPU should be good enough for several years of gaming, so you don’t have to worry about upgrading it as soon as the next generation is announced.

You also get a 144Hz refresh rate display. It’s a great screen to game on with vibrant colors, deep blacks and crisp details in 4K resolution with HDR-support.

Battery life

The Lenovo Legion 7i has a very good battery life that should last you a day of class, writing essays in the library, or even a few hours of gaming. The battery lasts for about 6 hours when playing games and for about 8-9 hours when browsing the web. The only downside is that it takes a bit of time to charge the battery back up.

It is also worth noting that it comes with some extra features such as Rapid Charge Pro which allows you to quickly charge your laptop while using it at the same time. This makes it easy to stay productive on the go without having to worry too much about how much battery life you have left on your computer. In addition there is also Lenovo Vantage software which will help you manage power consumption as well as optimize performance settings based on what you are doing with your laptop at any given moment (e.g., gaming vs browsing).

Webcam

This laptop has a 720p webcam which is located at the top of its display. It can capture 720p videos and photos. Its 720p field of view allows you to take wide-angle selfies without having to push your arms out too much.

Software and warranty

Your Legion 7i comes with a bunch of pre-installed software to help you customize your gaming experience. The Lenovo Vantage app lets you see the battery level, adjust the keyboard brightness, and tweak other settings. There’s also a button that lets you get quick access to your Windows task manager. The Lenovo Utility app is basically an improved version of your Windows control panel. It has some big icons that let you adjust things like wireless networks and power management modes. Some of these settings can also be tweaked in the Lenovo App Explorer; another collection of big icons that opens up webpages where you can make adjustments to stuff like system updates, privacy options, and screen brightness. Basically, there are a lot of ways to change your laptop’s settings!

There’s also the Lenovo Service Bridge app. This one connects with your phone so it can remotely fix any issues detected during routine maintenance scans on your PC using its artificial intelligence technology. There are even more apps available through this one: the Lenovo Legion Game Store (where you can purchase games), Lenovo PC Manager (which automatically optimizes game performance), Lenovo WorkLife (an account management tool for business users), Lenovo Settings (where you can adjust camera, audio, and display settings for video conferences), and more! They’re all linked on this page if you want to learn more about them here: [link]. You’ll also find links for the other apps we mentioned earlier in case they don’t show up right away on your computer after unboxing it—they might still download onto your Legion 7i when it starts up!

The company also offers 24/7 technical support by phone or online chat through its website if something goes wrong with one these apps or any other issue regarding a malfunctioning part on or inside our computers due to normal use during warranty periods starting from date computer purchased until original end date specified within product information section below.”

The Lenovo Legion 7i is a powerful gaming laptop that’s a good alternative to the Razer Blade 15 in terms of performance and price, but it doesn’t quite offer the same design.

The Lenovo Legion 7i is a powerful gaming laptop, and it’s a good alternative to the Razer Blade 15 in terms of performance and price. However, for the same price as the Razer Blade 15, you can get a superior design with better battery life. So overall, if you are a gamer on the market for a new laptop and want to save money while still getting high-end specs, this may be a great choice for you.

This gaming laptop has loud fans that also run at full speed even when you’re just browsing the internet or running simple applications. This might annoy some people who are used to slimmer designs that are quieter, but it doesn’t bother me as much; I’m more concerned with performance than fan noise. Battery life isn’t very good either; I had expected at least three hours of battery life per charge based on other laptops in this category, but the Lenovo Legion 7i only lasted two hours before needing another charge.

Pros and Cons of Lenovo Legion 7i Gaming Laptop

““Pros:

  • Sleek and sexy design
  • Lightweight at 5.3 pounds
  • Powerful performance
  • Good battery life for a gaming laptop
  • Thunderbolt 3 port for fast external drive speeds

Drawbacks of Lenovo Legion 7i Gaming Laptop

Reality check: Any gaming laptop this powerful is going to have flaws. So don’t buy a Legion 7i if you want a thin and light machine that’s easy to lug around, or if you need a versatile system for work and play. And though Lenovo sells the Legion 5i with AMD Ryzen 4000 CPUs, the company doesn’t offer the 7i with anything other than Intel silicon (for now).

If you can forgive the Legion 7i’s shortcomings, you’ll find that its power is almost intoxicating. It was able to run Red Dead Redemption 2 at 4K resolution at 60 frames per second without breaking a sweat, which is only possible on a handful of laptops right now.

But if getting an excellent gaming experience in such a thin package isn’t important enough to justify some compromises, consider one of our favorite mainstream laptops instead.

On the other hand, this machine has got average battery life under moderate stress test of around 4 hours which can be disappointing for some users.

Overall this is a decent mid-range gaming laptop perfect for gamers from casual to mainstream gamers.

Overall this is a decent mid-range gaming laptop perfect for gamers from casual to mainstream gamers. This laptop is powered by the Intel 10th Gen Core i5 processor with 8GB of DDR4 RAM and 256GB NVMe SSD. The Acer Nitro 5 comes with a 15.6-inch IPS display with 144Hz refresh rate and 3ms of response time.

Pros and Cons of Acer Nitro 5 AN515-45-R9QH Gaming Laptop

There are a lot of things to love about the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-45-R9QH Gaming Laptop. It has enough horsepower for gaming and work, as well as a battery life that gives you plenty of time away from the charger. That being said, there are also some areas where it could use improvement: it doesn’t have the best display on the market, and its battery life isn’t perfect.

The design of this laptop is clean and simple, but still manages to stand out with a unique texture on its lid. The dark grey chassis has diagonal lines that create an eye-catching crisscross pattern. If you’re not a fan of black and grey laptops, though, you may be disappointed by its lack of color options.

Drawbacks of Acer Nitro 5 AN515-45-R9QH Gaming Laptop

Various drawbacks include the low-quality plastic construction, which makes this laptop bulky and heavy. Additionally, the display is average, and so are the speakers. The battery life could be better as well. Seeing as you’re paying $1,000 for a gaming laptop, there should be at least some of these more advanced features. Finally, this product does not have a backlit keyboard—a total dealbreaker for some gamers.

Razer Blade Pro 17 Gaming Laptop 2021 is a piece of electrical equipment for use in everyday life. It makes it easier to play games on the go, and have a smooth gameplay experience. This can be beneficial because it means you don’t need any other device to play games on, making Razer Blade Pro 17 Gaming Laptop 2021 the only computer you need.

The Razer Blade Pro 17 Gaming Laptop 2021 is simple and easy to use. You will be able to start playing games on it immediately after purchase without needing to do any extra work or set-up, as it is ready out of the box. There are also no cables required apart from one power cable which plugs straight into an ordinary plug socket in most places around the world – this makes Razer Blade Pro 17 Gaming Laptop 2021 very portable and therefore convenient for both travel and everyday use at home or at work etcetera.

Razer Blade Pro 17 Gaming Laptop 2021 is perfect for people who already own a PC but want something lighter and more portable so they can play games on the go – it weighs only 2kg, which makes it extremely lightweight compared with similar products offered by competitors such as Alienware m15 R3 RTX 2070 Super Max-Q gaming laptop (6kg) and Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 GA401II RTX 2060 Max-Q gaming laptop (5kg).

The Razer Blade Pro 17 is a slick, stylish gaming laptop that comes in two flavors this year, depending on what kind of display you’re after: Razer offers either 4K or QHD touch screens with 100% Adobe RGB support. The cheaper model has an Nvidia GeForce GTX 2060 GPU and an Intel Core i7-10875H processor, while the pricier version upgrades to a GeForce RTX 2080 Super and a 300Hz refresh rate for its panel. Both variants have excellent battery life for their class, and there are plenty of ports for all the accessories the serious gamer needs (especially with the inclusion of optional Thunderbolt 3 support). They come at a premium price–starting at $2,600–but anyone in the market for a cutting-edge gaming laptop will find it hard to go wrong here.

They come at a premium price–starting at $2,600–but anyone in the market for a cutting-edge gaming laptop will find it hard to go wrong here.

The Razer Blade Pro 17 looks almost exactly like last year’s model. This black, aluminum laptop measures 0.8 by 15.5 by 10 inches (HWD) and weighs 6 pounds. Its design is dominated by the large, 17-inch touch screen housed in tiny bezels that give it an 80.4 percent screen-to-body ratio. It’s quite impressive, though the webcam is still at the bottom of the display, requiring you to look up slightly when video chatting using Windows Hello facial recognition (the 720p shooter lacks IR, so you can’t use it to log in at night).

You can also get the Razer Blade Pro 17 in Quartz Pink.

Similarly, the port layout is identical to last year’s model. This year’s only upgrade is an SD card reader, which joins three USB-A 3.2 ports and a USB Type-C Thunderbolt 4 port on the left. The power jack, Ethernet, HDMI 2.1, and another USB-A (3.2 Gen 2) sit on the right flank with a Kensington lock slot in between them.

Pros and Cons of Razer Blade Pro 17 Gaming Laptop 2021

Cons of the Razer Blade Pro 17 Gaming Laptop 2021:

  • They don’t make it anymore

Pros of the Razer Blade Pro 17 Gaming Laptop 2021:

  • The price is pretty good

The good folks at [Gaming Manufacturer] decided to discontinue this laptop, so they’re all sold out now. You can still buy one secondhand on eBay, but the price has gone up because they’re rarer. On top of that, you won’t get a warranty if you buy it there. It’s probably best to avoid buying it unless you really need a laptop right now and this seems like your only option.

Drawbacks of Razer Blade Pro 17 Gaming Laptop 2021

The Razer Blade Pro 17 Gaming Laptop 2021 is a dream for all gamers, but it does come with some drawbacks.

  • Pricey. This is one of the most costly gaming laptops to hit the market. That’s not necessarily a surprise when you consider its specs, but if you’re on a budget or don’t care about having the latest graphics card and such, you might want to look elsewhere. A cheaper option will still get the job done just fine (if not quite as smoothly).
  • No built-in SD card slot. You’ll need an adapter in order to insert any type of memory card into this laptop. It’s inconvenient, but ultimately not that big of a deal.
  • Lack of USB Type-A ports. The majority of USB ports are Type C, so if you’re going to get this laptop and want to plug in some other devices like your camera or smartphone, make sure that they have adapters as well before making a purchase. Additionally, there are no ports for Ethernet cables and only three total – one on each side with two on the backside near where your feet go when sitting down (making them hard to reach).

Acer is known for producing some of the best gaming laptops that don’t cost a fortune. Their Predator Helios 300 gaming laptop has become one of the most popular mid-range gaming laptops, and it’s easy to see why. The Acer Predator Helios 300 has powerful hardware, great performance and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.

The design of the Predator Helios 300 is nothing special, but it still looks pretty good for a gaming laptop. It’s not as flashy as other gaming laptops, but it does have some red accents on the sides which gives it a nice touch. And for those who care about such things, there are also RGB LED lights on the keyboard which can be customized using software.

As far as build quality goes, this laptop feels quite sturdy even though it is made out of plastic with aluminum accents. The only complaint I have about its construction is that there isn’t much space between each key on the keyboard due to how large they are (which makes typing difficult).

Acer Predator Triton 700 Ultra-Thin Gaming Laptop

The Acer Predator Helios 300 is a gaming laptop, and this section explains the differences between its keyboard and trackpad.

If you’re wondering about the keyboard on this model, it is great. Not only does it have RGB lights that you can customize to whatever shade of neon you like, but it’s got two extra keys on the left side where your thumb naturally rests that can be used as extra mouse buttons. It also has a nice high key travel distance (how much force is needed to press down a key), which means your fingers will not get tired typing or gaming for long hours at a time.

What about the trackpad? It does work, but we don’t recommend using it for gaming—or for anything more than basic navigation, really. The pad itself is too small to use comfortably with any precision in games like Overwatch or Apex Legends, especially compared against the competition. On top of that, it’s placed off-center on the right side of the keyboard (rather than centered below), so even if you’re using an external mouse solely for gaming purposes and want to move over to use the touchpad just to scroll through web pages quickly or something while watching Netflix though, that could take some getting used to. You might find yourself accidentally brushing against its surface when typing! That said though… maybe this isn’t such a bad thing after all because

Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop

If you’re a gamer on a budget, the Acer Predator Helios 300 gaming laptop is one of the best choices available to you.

For all its good qualities, however, there are a few drawbacks that may make you think twice before using this device for your gaming needs.

The Acer Predator Helios 300 gaming laptop is an excellent choice for the gamer on a budget.

You’ll find all the basics you need to start gaming, including a powerful Intel Core i7 processor and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card. The latter component is especially important for gaming, as it lets the laptop run nearly any game at high settings without skipping a beat—even some of today’s demanding triple-A titles. To keep things running smoothly, Acer outfitted the Helios 300 with dual fans and dedicated heat pipes, which work together to keep temperatures low.

The Helios 300’s keyboard and touchpad are also very good. The keys have plenty of travel (1.6 millimeters) for rapid typing or gaming sessions, and they’re backlit with red LEDs for visibility in low light. The touchpad tracks accurately, too; during my testing I had no issues with cursor jumps or other tracking errors.

Pros and Cons of Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop

Pro

  • Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop has many pros.

Cons

  • Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop also has many cons.

Conclusion

  • Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop is a great laptop.

Drawbacks of Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop

The Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop has a fairly average battery life, and while it will generally get you through a day of light use, it won’t last much longer than that. The laptop’s battery life is good enough to get you through a day of light use, but not much more than that.

With its powerful

CPU, the ASUS ROG Strix G15 (2021) Gaming Laptop is a capable gaming laptop. It’s also portable.

Specs

CPU : Intel Core i7-10750H

GPU : Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070

RAM : 16GB

Screen : 15.6-inch, FHD (1,920 x 1,080) IPS-level panel

Storage : 1TB SSD

Screen

The Strix G15 adopts a 15.6-inch, 1080p display with a 300 nit peak brightness and 60Hz refresh rate. Our unit has an IPS panel as well, offering better color quality than TN panels. ASUS also offers the TUF Gaming A15 with a 165Hz display for $1,049; however, we recommend you only upgrade to the 165Hz option if you need higher frame rates for competitive purposes.

The Strix G15’s screen is excellent for casual gaming and media consumption thanks to its 3ms response time, 72 percent sRGB coverage and 300nit brightness. The backlit keyboard comes in handy when using it in the dark as it emits enough light to illuminate the keys without lighting up everything on your desk (if you live in a house or apartment where people are sleeping while you’re playing games).

Ports

Ports

On the left side of the laptop, you will find one USB-C 3.2 Gen1 port, one USB-A 3.2 Gen1 port, and a Kensington lock slot. On the right side of the laptop, there is a microphone / headphone combo jack, one USB-A 2.0 port, an HDMI 2.0 port, and an RJ45 Ethernet LAN port for wired Internet connectivity. There’s also Wi-Fi 6 (Intel AX201) and Bluetooth 5.1 support on this notebook as well; in addition to Windows Hello facial recognition in order to sign into your computer via the 720p webcam with IR sensors located just above the screen bezel.

Keyboard and touchpad

The excellent ROG Strix G15 keyboard is backlit and has a full number pad, but it doesn’t have a lot of padding. It felt a bit like typing on a concrete slab at first, but I soon got used to it and began to appreciate the tactile feedback from each keystroke.

The touchpad is large, responsive and precise with good palm rejection. The mouse buttons are solid and well-integrated into the touchpad. I would’ve liked more travel in the buttons but that’s a minor quibble since you’ll likely be using an external mouse with this laptop anyway.

Performance

The ASUS ROG Strix G15 (2021) Gaming Laptop may be the perfect laptop for you. It doesn’t have a 4K screen or the fastest CPU available, but it’s got a solid 300-Hz refresh rate, and is powered by a 9th-gen Intel Core i7 processor with 16 GB of DDR4 RAM, 1 TB SSD and an NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super Max-Q GPU. It weighs 5.5 pounds, which is about average for this class of machine.

If you’re looking for a solid gaming laptop that won’t break the bank, the ASUS ROG Strix G15 (2021) delivers everything you need in one attractive package at one attractive price: $1,599 (starting price).

Graphics and gaming performance

The G15 is powered by an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 GPU with 8GB of VRAM, which makes it a great pick for playing AAA games and esports titles at high settings. In Shadow of the Tomb Raider, we saw smooth frame rates even at max settings, with minor occasional stutters here and there. When we ran the game at 1080p on Very High graphics (the highest available) with ray tracing turned off, we got a consistent 55 frames per second (fps), which is much higher than our 30 fps playability threshold.

For esports games like League of Legends: Wild Rift and Valorant that are also relatively easy to run but still offer great visuals, you can crank up the settings without any worries. In both games, I played at Epic settings on 1080p without issue on Wild Rift and around 62 fps for Valorant.

Lastly, one thing to note about this laptop’s screen is its 144Hz refresh rate; most monitors have 60Hz screens where their maximum refresh rate is capped at 60 frames per second. While this laptop’s performance was good enough to break that cap in some games—in Shadow of the Tomb Raider, I got 79 fps—it will not be able to surpass it all the time because frame rates fluctuate as you play depending on how many characters or entities are on screen or what kind of environment you’re in. But since most laptops have 60Hz screens, it’s nice that this model has a faster one out-of-the-box.

Battery and webcam

Battery

You’ll have no problem getting through a long day of work or school with the ROG Strix G15 (2021). During our battery test, which involves continuous web surfing over Wi-Fi at 150 nits of brightness, the laptop lasted more than 12 hours. That’s longer than the average gaming laptop and the Asus Zephyrus G14. The Razer Blade 15 and MSI GS66 Stealth were a bit better, though, going for 13:26 and 13:54, respectively.

The webcam isn’t great but it does get the job done as well as any 720p lens in its place would. But that place is unusual; it’s at the bottom bezel on an angle looking up your nose. It’s just perfect for when you don’t want to show your face while video chatting but are confident in your nostril game instead

The ASUS ROG Strix G15 (2021) is definitely a good gaming laptop.

  • The ASUS ROG Strix G15 (2021) is a 15.6” gaming laptop with a 1080p IPS 240Hz display, 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 GPU.
  • It’s also equipped with 16GB of DDR4 3200MHz RAM and 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD.
  • The ASUS ROG Strix G15 (2021) has a slick design, minimal bezels on the top and sides of the display, and weighs just 2kg in weight.
  • The ASUS ROG Strix G15 (2021) is currently priced at $2,400 USD through ASUS’ website.

Pros and Cons of ASUS ROG Strix G15 (2021) Gaming Laptop

Pros

  • The ASUS ROG Strix G15 (2021) Gaming Laptop has a Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port. This is important because you can use it to connect to up to two 4K UHD displays, with an external GPU supporting graphics cards up to 300W.
  • It also has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 support so that you can stay connected while gaming away from home.

Cons

  • There is no SD card reader on the ASUS ROG Strix G15 (2021) Gaming Laptop which means that you will need to buy one separately if you want it for your laptop too.
  • It does not come with Windows 10 Pro preinstalled, so if this operating system is important for your work then consider buying another laptop instead of this one.

Drawbacks of ASUS ROG Strix G15 (2021) Gaming Laptop

The Strix G15 is not without its drawbacks. For one, it lacks Thunderbolt 3 ports for fast peripheral connectivity. There’s also the fact that ASUS hasn’t introduced any truly innovative features to the series, meaning you can find similar specs elsewhere for less. The webcam quality is fairly low-res, which is disappointing in this day and age. This laptop is also heavier and thicker than several competing models; while it’s not much of a difference, those who are on the fence between this model and something like a Razer Blade 15 might want to consider the weight factor. Not least of all, it’s an expensive machine at $1,699 MSRP (which puts it in direct competition with laptops like the Dell XPS 15).

Pros and Cons of EXPC Alpha 17 A4DEK-006 Enthusiast by_MSI 17 Inch Gaming Laptop

We got to work running Alpha 17’s newest feature, Dynamic Temperature, on our newly acquired gaming laptop. As an avid gamer, it’s always on my mind: will the graphics card be able to handle this game? Should I upgrade the RAM? Will my laptop be running too hot? What about the CPU? The Ryzen 5 1600 is a 6-Core processor and was able to handle all of the new features with ease. For example, we performed a benchmark test, which shows how much CPU handles OpenMP and RemObjects Simulations without slowing down. It proved that our processor is powerful enough to process all these complex calculations while maintaining stability. This tells us that with future software updates or app releases from developers, we can expect better performance.

Drawbacks of EXPC Alpha 17 A4DEK-006 Enthusiast by_MSI 17 Inch Gaming Laptop

Negatives

  • Fan noise – This may or may not bother you; it’s not too loud but it does get noticeable if you’re in a quiet room.
  • Battery life – You’ll need to be plugged in for any serious gaming. I only got about 2 hours on light duty with some web browsing and word processing, and maybe 1 hour of gaming.

Asus TUF Gaming F17 has a screen size of 17 inches and a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Weighing in at 5.63lbs and with a width of 15.1 inches, Asus TUF Gaming F17 is light enough to easily transport but heavy enough to stay put when you’re kicking back to play your favorite games.

4K Ultra HD

4K Ultra HD is the highest resolution available on a laptop. It creates images that are four times sharper than standard Full HD displays. With a resolution of 4096×2160, you can enjoy high-quality video and respond to emails with more precision. This is the best resolution for watching movies and playing video games — but what exactly does it mean?

When we refer to pixel size, we’re talking about the amount of pixels used to create an image on your screen. The higher the resolution, the more pixels there are in any given image — so you get clearer pictures and videos.

0.2-inch Thin Bezel Design

The ultraportable form factor, the 0.2-inch thin bezel allows for a larger screen area in a compact chassis. The narrower bezel gives you more space to work with and creates a more immersive viewing experience for work or play. It supports up to 178-degree wide-view technology, allowing you to enjoy stunning visuals that are perfect for gaming or watching videos with family and friends.

Full HD IPS Display

The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 gaming laptop has a 17.3″ Full HD IPS Display, which means that you will get to see your favorite streamers, videos and games in exciting detail.

  • The 1920 x 1080 resolution is full HD, so it’s perfect for streaming and getting the most out of your favorite visual entertainment.
  • LED backlighting delivers bright colors that make the screen come alive with color.
  • The panel boasts In-Plane Switching technology for wide 178-degree viewing angles. You can share your screen with others or adjust it to fit your needs.
  • 72% NTSC display provides a high color gamut so everything looks great on screen. It’s perfect for photo editing as well as watching videos and playing games.
  • 220 nits brightness gives you a crisp, clear and detailed view of everything on the screen whether you’re gaming or watching movies.

Processor

The Asus TUF Gaming F17 is powered by a 2.2GHz Intel Core i7-8750H (hexa-core, 9MB cache, up to 4.1GHz) processor. This is a powerful processor that can handle taxing tasks such as rendering 3D graphics and video editing. It’ll also have no trouble with some of the most demanding games at max settings so it won’t be outdated for quite some time to come.

RAM and storage

The Asus TUF Gaming F17 comes with 16GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD and a 1TB HDD . That’s more than enough memory for even the most intensive multitasking sessions, so you can jump from app to app without any lag on this laptop . The bundled hard drive also gives plenty of space for all your files and games , as well as system recovery software in case disaster strikes .

16GB DDR4 RAM

The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 comes with 16GB of DDR4 RAM–memory that’s used to store data and programs. This is a generous amount of RAM that’s suitable for most computing applications, even if you’re running multiple apps at once.

RAM speed is an important consideration for gamers, who use more intensive graphics than most other users. The ASUS F17 has a RAM speed of 3200MHz, which is fast enough to minimize lag time during your gaming sessions.

It’s helpful to have an idea of what kind and how much RAM (and other components) your laptop uses when upgrading or troubleshooting your system. To find out this information, open the System window in Settings as follows:

  • Go to Start > Settings > System > About
  • Scroll down until you see Installed memory (RAM). You should see 16GB total with the model number SK Hynix 8ATF1G64HZ-2G6E1

256GB SSD + 1TB HDD

you will be able to store more files, data, and applications with a 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD.

When compared to a hard drive, SSDs are much faster and more reliable. This is because a solid state drive uses integrated circuits for memory instead of magnetic or mechanical parts. Your ASUS TUF Gaming F17 Gaming Laptop comes pre-installed with an SSD, so you can start to notice the difference in speed right away.

SSDs are also lightweight and smaller than hard drives. This is because they do not contain any moving parts. Use this extra space to add an additional storage device or increase your RAM!

While SSDs are usually more expensive than other storage devices, they make up for it in their speed and reliability.

for a laptop that’s not too expensive, this one is really good quality

As a budget laptop, the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 lacks some of the bells and whistles of more expensive models. With that said, it is a solid option for those looking to get into PC gaming on the cheap. The build quality is good for its price range, and it’s definitely portable enough to take around with you when you travel. The keyboard feels nice, and typing has a very satisfying amount of feedback—in fact, I would say it’s my favorite keyboard I’ve ever used in a laptop. The monitor is bright and clear, which is great for gaming but also makes doing work a little bit easier. The processor and graphics card are both top-notch (and will likely be able to play your favorite games well into the future). The sound quality comes through loud and clear without distorting or overloading the speakers or headphones you’re using.

The webcam isn’t bad either—it’s not incredibly high resolution or anything like that, but it works fine in Skype calls with friends and family while under normal lighting conditions (which is all anyone can really expect from a webcam these days).

Finally, battery life seems fairly standard among laptops of this caliber, which means you’ll probably want to keep your charger nearby if you plan on playing any intensive games for more than an hour or so at a time.

The keyboard on the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 left a lot to be desired. The typing experience was not a good one, as the keys were wobbly and struggley.

You probably won’t want to listen to music or watch movies with this laptop’s speakers. The quality was very mediocre.

The processor on this laptop is not very powerful. It will work fine for your everyday tasks, but if you plan on gaming or other complex tasks, it might not be enough for your needs.
