When choosing the best Canon EOS-1D Mark III lens for your needs, it is important to consider what types of shots you want and how often you plan on using the camera. If you are an amateur photographer who plans on taking a lot of casual pictures then there is no need to spend money on an expensive lens that has more features than you will ever take advantage of.
On the other hand, if you are a professional photographer or someone who uses their camera very frequently then it may be worth investing some money in quality lenses that have features such as image stabilization and autofocus systems built into them.
If you’re not sure which type of lens will work best for your needs then try asking someone who has experience with both types of lenses about their experiences with each one before making any purchases.
1.Canon EF 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6L IS USM Lens
Brand | Canon |
Lens Type | Wide Angle, Telephoto |
Compatible Mountings | Canon EF |
Camera Lens Description | 300 millimetres |
Maximum Focal Length | 300 Millimeters |
The Canon EF 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6L IS USM Lens is a one-lens solution for your EOS SLR camera. This lens provides a focal range of 28 to 300mm, with the wide end covering most normal focal lengths and the telephoto end extending well into the telephoto range. With its 15x zoom, this L-series lens is ideal for sports, nature, travel, journalism and other types of photography where excellent image quality is important.
This lens features Canon’s superb Image Stabilization (IS) technology for up to 3 shutter speed stops of correction against camera shake at all focal lengths. Image Stabilization allows you to take sharp photos in low light, without using flash or a tripod. The constant aperture value of f/3.5 on the wide end and f/5.6 on the telephoto end means that depth-of-field remains constant while zooming out, making it easier to maintain correct focus while zooming from wide to telephoto focal lengths. Canon’s advanced Super Spectra coatings work with the advanced lens design to suppress flare and ghosting – more prone to occur with digital cameras due to reflection – for more vivid, contrast-rich images. 2.Canon EF 85mm f1.2L II USM Lens for Canon DSLR Cameras – Fixed
Brand | Canon |
Focal Length Description | EF 85mm 1:1.2 |
Lens Type | Telephoto |
Compatible Mountings | Canon EF |
Camera Lens Description | 85 millimetres |
The Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM Lens is one of the sharpest lenses that I have ever seen. Sharpness is a highly desired lens attribute and Canon has delivered it in an 85mm focal length, wide aperture, portrait lens package. The center of the frame is very sharp wide open – very sharp. The image corners are softer at f/1.2 and much sharper at f/2. From f/2 through f/11, this lens shows impressively sharp results across the entire frame.
The Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM Lens’ wide aperture is perfect for low light use and creating a shallow depth of field (DOF) and the 85mm focal length gives nice compression to subjects while not being overly distorted or exaggerated like shorter focal lengths can be when composing head shots. This lens even focuses closer than most other lenses in this class – down to 2.8′ (85cm) from the sensor plane.
3.Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM Medium Telephoto Lens for Canon SLR Cameras – Fixed
Brand | Canon |
Lens Type | Telephoto |
Compatible Mountings | Canon EF |
Camera Lens Description | 85 millimetres |

Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM Medium Telephoto Lens for Canon SLR Cameras – Fixed
A medium telephoto lens with a fast maximum aperture, the Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM is ideal for portraiture. Its fast maximum aperture is effective in low light, and the rounded diaphragm opening produces soft backgrounds. The Ring-type Ultrasonic Motor (USM) offers silent, high-speed autofocus. The EF 85mm f/1.8 USM has been completely redesigned with a lightweight body and superb optical quality.
This medium telephoto lens has been specifically designed for EOS cameras and uses a ring-type USM to achieve autofocus quickly and quietly, as well as full-time manual focus override simply by rotating the focusing ring on the lens barrel. It has a minimum focusing distance of 2.8 feet and a maximum magnification of 0.13x, which lets you fill the frame with a subject that measures approximately 8 inches across when you’re shooting at the closest focusing distance.
4.Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro Lens for Canon Digital SLR Cameras, Lens Only
Brand | Canon |
Lens Type | Telephoto |
Compatible Mountings | Canon EF |
Camera Lens Description | 100 millimetres |
Maximum Focal Length | 100 |
The Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro Lens is the first mid-telephoto macro “L” series lens to include Canon’s sophisticated Image Stabilization. With the highest quality optics available, combined with near-silent Ultrasonic focusing and life-size close-up capabilities without an adapter, the EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM is simply unrivalled.
Incorporating Canon’s sophisticated 4-stop Hybrid Image Stabilizer technology, this lens uses both conventional IS and a new technique to stabilize images at up to 4 shutter speed stops slower than would otherwise be possible. Hybrid IS corrects for shift camera shake, which affects macro lenses at very close distances and angular camera shake, which often occurs when shooting at slow shutter speeds with longer focal lengths (telephotos). This stabilization means that both hand held close-up and long distance shots are now possible with ease.
The EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM also features Canon’s Ring Type USM (Ultra Sonic Monitor) system which provides fast and quiet autofocusing along with full time manual focus override by simply rotating the focus ring.
5.Tamron AFF017C700 SP 90mm F/2.8 Di VC USD 1:1 Macro for Canon Cameras (Black)
Brand | Tamron |
Lens Type | Macro |
Compatible Mountings | Canon EF |
Camera Lens Description | 90 millimetres |

Advanced optical design uses an LD element, two molded-glass aspherical elements, and XLD (Extra Low Dispersion) glass to reduce chromatic aberrations throughout the aperture range and provide greater clarity and color accuracy. Additionally, eBAND (Extended Bandwidth & Angular-Dependency) Coating has been applied to suppress lens flare and ghosting for enhanced contrast and color fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions.the lens’ f/2.8 maximum aperture benefits shooting in low-light conditions and also affords greater control over depth of field for isolating subjects using selective focus techniques.
6.Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM Standard Zoom Lens
Brand | Canon |
Focal Length Description | 24-70mm |
Lens Type | Wide Angle |
Compatible Mountings | Canon EF |
Camera Lens Description | 70 millimetres |
Canon has been the leader in DSLR cameras for years. While Nikon, Sony and other manufacturers have made significant gains in market share, Canon has been the category leader since their introduction in the 1990s. Canon was the first to introduce a full-frame sensor camera, and they were also among the first companies to introduce mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras (the EOS M series).
The Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM Standard Zoom Lens is one of Canon’s most popular offerings and a relatively affordable option to add to your kit.
The lens is capable of covering 38.4 112 millimetre equivalent focal length on APS-C format EOS cameras, which makes it an excellent choice for capturing landscape shots or candid portrait shots. The standard zoom range makes it unlikely that you’ll be stuck with a wide angle shot or a zoomed in photo.
Additional features include a constant maximum aperture of F2.8 through out the entire zoom range (faster lenses tend to have smaller max apertures at their long end), ultrasonic type AF motor with full time manual focusing, 82 millimeter filters and an inner focusing system for smoother focus pulls.

8.Canon EF 50mm f/1.2 L USM Lens for Canon Digital SLR Cameras – Fixed
Brand | Canon |
Lens Type | Standard |
Compatible Mountings | Canon EF |
Camera Lens Description | 50 millimetres |
Maximum Focal Length | 50 Millimeters |
The Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L II USM Lens is an excellent lens with a very wide aperture, but is it worth the price? I think so. For me, it is a bargain at its current price (around $1,600 as I write this review) because of the excellent quality and the price of OEM alternatives.
The Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L II USM Lens is just a great performing lens in every way you can measure it. The center sharpness at f/1.4 is “good” by my standards (but not great) and improves to excellent by f/2. As expected, the corners do not keep up with the center during this time, but they are still pretty good – especially at f/2.8 where they catch up to the center performance and continue to improve until peaking around f/11 or so.
Chromatic aberration (CA) is modestly controlled throughout most of the aperture range, with some noticeable CA coming in at f/2 through f/8 or so before dropping off again as the aperture narrows further. Lateral CA does not get completely removed from the image until about f/5 through f/11 depending upon focal length and
