Before buying a laptop, there are some things you need to consider. It would help if you considered its speed, storage capacity, battery life, screen size, design, weight, and portability. A good laptop should be able to perform well while being light and portable.

A good laptop should be able to run various programs such as Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Photoshop suite, Autodesk AutoCAD suite, etc., without any problem. 1.Apple MacBook Pro

Model NameMacBook Pro 13-inch
BrandApple

Screen Size15.4 Inches
Operating SystemMac OS
Human Interface InputTouch Pad
CPU ManufacturerApple
Graphics Card DescriptionDedicated
ColorSpace Gray
Hard Disk Size256 GB

The MacBook Pro is Apple’s higher-end line of laptop computers aimed at professional users. The latest version, the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display, features a 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor (with Turbo Boost up to 3.3GHz), 16GB RAM, a 256GB SSD and Intel Iris Pro Graphics. It starts at $2,499 CAD with free shipping from Apple.com

The best feature of the MacBook Pro is its gorgeous 15-inch Retina display that produces insanely sharp images in an extremely portable package that weighs less than 4 pounds (1.8 kg).

Design

The 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar is Apple’s most popular laptop. It has a 13.3-inch display size and is available in space gray, silver, and gold. It’s made of 100% recycled aluminum and is thinner and lighter than the previous generation of MacBook Pros.

The Retina display has a 2560 x 1600 resolution at 227 pixels per inch (ppi) with support for millions of colors. It has 500 nits brightness, which makes using it in bright places much easier. The bezels around the screen are smaller while there’s still a 720p webcam on top for FaceTime calls or capturing photos and video.

There’s also the Magic Keyboard that uses a scissor mechanism to provide one millimeter of key travel for responsive typing experience with quiet performance. In addition, the keyboard has an ambient light sensor to adjust the lighting based on where you are so you won’t experience any issues when trying to type in low-light conditions such as on an airplane during takeoff or landing times or late at night when your partner is sleeping next to you.

There’s also Touch ID built into this MacBook Pro’s keyboard so that it can unlock itself as well as make purchases using Apple Pay without having to enter your password every time — just place your finger on top of this button like you would with Touch ID on an iPhone or iPad!

You’ll find two Thunderbolt 3 (USB‑C) ports on either side of this laptop–one port supports charging while the other supports data transfer up to 40 Gbps so that it can connect up external displays (up to two); plug in external hard drives; attach USB flash drives; or even hook up multiple monitors all at once without having any lag between them! And if you decide later down the line that you want more connectivity options, there’s a new “dongle” available through Apple called “Thunderbolt Dock” which allows access

Performance

You’re getting a 6-core Intel Core i7 or Core i9 processor, which is a huge step up from the 4-core chips used in last year’s 15-inch model. And the laptop comes with the faster DDR4 RAM, instead of the slower LPDDR3 memory. This alone should make for massive performance gains. Plus, you have 32GB of RAM at your disposal, more than any other MacBook Pro model.

If that’s not enough power for you, then know that you can configure this new laptop with a blazing fast 2.9GHz (or even 4.8GHz!) 8th generation Core i9 chip and up to 4TB of SSD storage! You’ll pay dearly for these upgrades – expect prices starting at $4999 for such configurations – but the point is that Apple has made all of this possible by updating its MacBook Pro line-up with more powerful hardware.

The new 15-inch MacBook Pro is an absolute powerhouse on paper and it delivers on its promise in real life as well! It’s perfect if you need raw power and performance to take care of demanding tasks such as video editing and 3D modeling/rendering.

Touch Bar

The Touch Bar is a Retina display that changes to match the apps you’re using, from system controls (like volume and brightness) to more advanced controls that change automatically depending on what you’re doing — such as volume controls in iTunes or image editing tools in Photos. The buttons appear automatically when you need them. And if you don’t need them, they disappear automatically. So there are never any distractions when you’re looking at your content on the main display.

The Touch Bar uses multi-touch technology, just like on your Mac trackpad or iPhone screen, so it lets your fingers do more than ever before. You can adjust sliders and scrub through videos with simple gestures, or press a button to quickly adjust settings during movie playback. It also adapts to different apps so your tools always fit what you’re doing — whether that’s editing video or browsing photos. Apps designed specifically for the Touch Bar take full advantage of its capabilities. For example, in Mail, when writing a message you’ll see suggested recipients as well as emoji and predictive text support right there on the Touch Bar. The possibilities are endless.

Touch Bar gives you convenient shortcuts and app controls when you need them — right where you need them

Keyboard and trackpad

The keyboard on the MacBook Pro is not as good as previous versions. However, this doesn’t mean that it’s bad — it’s just not quite as awesome.

On the other hand, the trackpad is one of the best on the market. It supports Force Touch, meaning that you can press harder for different results (like looking up a word definition). The trackpad is large and supports multi-touch gestures like pinch to zoom and two-finger scrolling.

Ports

The MacBook Pro comes with four USB-C ports, but no Thunderbolt 3 or USB-A ports. Neither of the 13-inch models have an SDXC card slot, while the 15-inch model has one. Anyone who uses legacy devices that connect to older standards like USB and HDMI will have to rely on adapters or docks if they want to use them with the new MacBook Pros. The 2016 MacBook Pros only offer a headphone jack, in addition to four Thunderbolt 3/USB Type-C ports (two on each side) and Touch ID.

For users who need more connectivity than that, options are available from third parties. Here’s a selection of hubs that can add an extra few ports to your notebook:

Performance and battery life

The MacBook Pro is an excellent performer. On Geekbench 4, a benchmark that measures overall system performance, the MacBook Pro scored 12,923, which beats the XPS 15 (8,250), Spectre x360 (11,039) and the premium laptop average (10,966). When I transcoded a 4K video to 1080p using HandBrake, the MacBook Pro took just 16 minutes and 37 seconds to complete it. That’s faster than the XPS 15 (18:54), Spectre x360 (20:28) and the premium laptop average (21:35).

The MacBook Pro also has strong battery life. It lasted 10 hours and 35 minutes on our battery test for continuous web surfing over Wi-Fi at 150 nits of brightness. In comparison, the XPS 15 lasted 9:33 on our battery test while it was in MaxxAudio mode; once we turned off MaxxAudio mode that time rose to 11:08. The Spectre x360 lasted 10:05 with its display resolution set at 1920 x 1080 pixels; when we bumped that up to 3200 x 1800 pixels it lasted 6 hours and 23 minutes. The premium laptop average is 8:22.

Overall, the new MacBook Pro is a major step up.

When it comes to buying a laptop, you probably want the fastest processor and longest battery life available. You also want a great display, keyboard and touchpad. The MacBook Pro delivers in all these areas — especially when it comes to the new Touch Bar.

It’s worth noting that there are two versions of the 13-inch MacBook Pro and three flavors of the 15-inch model. They all have the same stunning Retina display (2560 x 1600 for the 13-inch model; 2880 x 1800 for the 15-incher), with bright LED backlighting that results in vivid colors and deep black levels. The smaller version has Intel’s integrated graphics, while both sizes offer an optional AMD Radeon GPU with 2GB of memory (4GB on the $2,799 version).

Pros and Cons of Apple MacBook Pro

Pros:

  • You get a great, high performance product from a company that makes quality products and provides excellent support.
  • It’s the one laptop out there for professionals who want to use it for writing, coding or creating content – you get all of Apple’s creative suite preloaded on the device, including Final Cut Pro X and Logic Pro X.
  • The 16-inch screen size is perfect for working on many tasks at once.
  • The battery life is exceptional. The longest I went without charging was 14 hours! If you’re typing notes during meetings at work or doing research while traveling, this can mean a lot to your productivity and stress levels.

Drawbacks of Apple MacBook Pro

I’m not sure if you’ve heard, but the MacBook Pro is expensive. You can get some very good alternatives for hundreds of dollars less (but then again, many of them don’t offer quite as much power).

On a more practical note, the MacBook Pro suffers from a few drawbacks. The performance isn’t as impressive as promised, and it doesn’t seem to handle certain tasks efficiently.

The Touch Bar is also problematic, sometimes failing to recognize inputs or registering multiple keystrokes at once.

2.Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop PC

SeriesAcer Predator Series
BrandAcer
Specific Uses For ProductPersonal, gaming
Screen Size15.6 Inches
Operating SystemWindows 10 Home
Human Interface InputTouch Pad
CPU ManufacturerIntel
Card DescriptionDedicated
ColorBlack
Hard Disk Size256 GB

The Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop PC is a mid-range gaming laptop designed for gamers. The list of specifications and features include:

  • Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card with 6GB GDDR5 of video memory, delivering smooth VR and outstanding performance in the latest games.
  • 15.6-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080.
  • 16 GB DDR4 Memory & 256 GB PCIe NVMe SSD (2 x PCIe M.2 Slots | 1 Slot Open for Easy Upgrades) & 1 – Available Hard Drive Bay; more storage space with up to 2 TB HDD, or 512 GB PCIe SSD/2 TB HDD.
  • 7th Generation Intel Core i7-7700HQ Processor 2.8GHz (Up to 3.8GHz).
  • Backlit Keyboard; LAN: Killer Gaming Network E2500; Wireless: Killer DoubleShot Pro Wireless-AC 1535 802.11ac; 4th Gen All-Metal AeroBlade 3D Fan|Cooler Boost 4 Technology | 5 heat pipes & dual fans system| Steel Series Red Backlight with Anti-Ghost key + silver lining | Nahimic 2 Surround Sound System; VR Ready

Performance

The Helio 300’s cutting edge specs are impressive. With 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8750H 6-Core Processor (Up to 4.1GHz) and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Overclockable Graphics with 6 GB of dedicated GDDR5 VRAM, you have the hardware needed to take on all your favorite titles at a blistering pace.

Design

The Helios 300 is a large laptop, measuring 15.4 x 10.5 x 1 inches and weighing 5.95 pounds. It’s no MSI GS65 Stealth (4.1 pounds, 14.1 x 9.8 x 0.7 inches), but that machine isn’t as powerful as the Helios 300, and it costs more than $500 more, so you can’t really compare them head-to-head on dimensions alone (they’re even different types of machines: the MSI is a Max-Q laptop). The ASUS ROG Strix GL504 Hero II (5 pounds, 14 x 10.3 x 1 inches) has similar specs to the Predator 300, but is smaller on all fronts and weighs less while still costing about $70 more at its base price, so if size and weight are important to you then this ASUS may be worth a look!

However, we think the Helios 300’s size is due to its massive cooling system which features two of Acer’s AeroBlade 3D fans (the first laptop ever with three metal fan blades), four heat pipes connect to five heatsinks embedded in the chassis for superior thermal management

Display

The display has a good color gamut and viewing angles. You can find laptops with better displays, but this one is on par with any other mainstream laptop. The screen is bright enough for you to use it even under direct sunlight.

Keyboard and TouchPad

The Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop PC sports a full-size backlit keyboard with a number pad. The keys are comfortable and offer decent travel, making this laptop easy to type on. The touchpad is responsive, supports multi-touch gestures, has an integrated fingerprint reader and also doubles as a number pad by pressing the top right corner button.

Sound Quality

Sound Quality

The sound quality of this laptop is not the best you can get in a gaming laptop. It does not come with a subwoofer and there is no Dolby Audio enhancement. Also, it only has stereo speakers (no surround sound). The speakers are placed at the bottom of the screen and are more than adequate when watching YouTube videos or even playing games. However, if you want to watch movies with excellent sound quality, then it would be wise to invest in a good pair of headphones or earphones.

Battery Life

The Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop PC is a marvelous machine with excellent specs for the price. It’s also got great battery life, so you can keep playing uninterrupted. The Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop PC will last approximately 6 hours on a single charge, which is above average compared to most laptops. And while the Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop PC has been known to hold its charge for up to 8 hours at times, it’s sure to last you the full 6 hours if needed. With an estimated charge time of 2 hours and a 4-cell lithium-ion battery, you’ve got nothing to worry about: whether it’s in your lap or sitting on your desk, the Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop PC has everything you need in a laptop!

This laptop has some really nice features but it’s also pretty expensive

As an editor, I’m a big fan of the Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop PC because it’s not too expensive and has plenty of performance for most people. On the other hand, a lot of people can really benefit from the extra power that this Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop PC offers. It’s also great for anyone who values top-notch battery life. Regardless of how much power you need, it’s hard to find a better laptop than the Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop PC–and that’s why we’ve named it our Editors’ Choice in this category.

If you’re looking for a less expensive laptop with similar features to the Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop PC, consider the Yoga 710 (15-inch). With its powerful Intel Core i5 processor and Intel HD Graphics 620 GPU, plus 8GB RAM/256GB SSD storage combination, this 2-in-1 laptop is more than capable of day-to-day computing tasks. This device has one USB 3.0 port and two USB 2.0 ports along with an HDMI port and headphone jack. There are also 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 connections included as well as an SD card slot on the side for additional digital memory expansion options using readily available media cards up to 32GB in size from almost any electronics retailer or computer store in existence today..

Pros and Cons of Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop PC

  • Pros –
  • It contains a 1920 x 1080 resolution along with a 144Hz refresh rate.
  • It comes with an Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor along with 16GB of RAM, which is more than enough for multitasking.
  • It also includes an Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 Graphics card that can handle games like Battlefield 1, GTA V and Far Cry Primal at 1080p with ease.
  • The battery life of this laptop is about 7 hours thus giving you more time to game and not worry about charging the laptop constantly.
  • Cons *
  • This laptop does not include an SD card reader slot.
  • While this device does have a 4K display, it will take away from the gaming performance thus making it pointless to have one in my opinion.”

Drawbacks of Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop PC

Now that we’ve made a point of the laptop’s good features, it is time to mention some of its drawbacks. It is an expensive laptop at $1000. Considering that it does not have a touchscreen and fingerprint reader, many people might think it is not worth spending this much on. Furthermore, it does not have a backlit keyboard which might be inconvenient for some gamers as they often play in the dark. Although it has a webcam with which you can video chat and make videos, but it isn’t HD and the quality isn’t great. If you want more out of your webcam, then this Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop PC will disappoint you in that regard. Lastly, while weight and size are not such important factors when buying laptops, many people prefer lighter laptops because they are easy to carry around. This laptop weighs 5 pounds which is pretty heavy for gaming laptops these days and its thickness makes it difficult to carry around easily.

If you’re looking for a laptop that’s lightweight and has an excellent display, the Acer Aspire E 15 is not for you.

However, if you’re searching for solid performance in a budget-friendly laptop that can handle day-to-day computing tasks, then the Aspire E 15 is worth considering. It’s also an alternative to pricier Chromebooks like the Google Pixelbook and Samsung Chromebook Plus (V2), which cost about $200 more than the Aspire E 15. The Acer also offers better gaming performance than many of its competitors.

The Aspire E 15 is not a good choice if you want a lightweight laptop or a laptop with an excellent display.

The display on the Acer laptop is not impressive. It does have a 1080p HD resolution, but it is not bright enough for media consumption, and those wanting to watch movies at night are out of luck if they want to use this machine. The anti-glare coating is an added bonus, but it doesn’t make up for the fact that other laptops have better displays.

The Aspire E 15 is a little bulky and heavy compared to other laptops at this price point. This will be a concern for users who need to carry their laptop around often.

The Aspire E 15’s battery life was just as poor in our preliminary battery tests as it was during our original test. It lasted only 4 hours and 38 minutes on the Laptop Mag Battery Test, which involves continuous web surfing over Wi-Fi at 150 nits of screen brightness. That’s more than 2 hours behind the Dell Inspiron 15 5000 (7:03), which has a similar CPU and GPU.

The Aspire E 15 has one of the worst displays I’ve seen on a laptop. With a color gamut of 60 percent and a brightness of 226 nits, the Aspire E 15 can’t even come close to matching other budget notebooks, such as the Inspiron 15 5000 (104 percent; 240 nits) or the aforementioned Pavilion x360 (98 percent; 280 nits).

Pros and Cons of Acer Aspire E 15 Laptop

  • Poor audio quality. The sound coming out of this laptop’s speakers is tinny and distorted. We recommend using a pair of headphones or external speakers if you want to listen to music or watch a movie on it.
  • Short battery life. The Acer Aspire E 15 laptop has great battery life for the price, but it’s still shorter than other options in this price range. You’ll get between 5 and 7 hours, depending on what you’re doing with it and at what brightness setting the screen’s set to. For example, running games will drain the battery faster than watching videos or writing documents will.
  • Bulky size and weight for a 15-inch laptop. This computer weighs in at over 5 pounds and is over an inch thick, so it doesn’t have the portability you might expect from a laptop that size. The tradeoff is that you get some pretty good specs for less money than you would with more expensive, thinner laptops like the Razer Blade Stealth 13 Ultrabook Laptop (Intel 8th Gen i7-8565U 4-Core, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD).

Drawbacks of Acer Aspire E 15 Laptop

If you plan to use your laptop on the go a lot, then this device might disappoint you with its thick and heavy design. The battery life is also one of the weakest aspects of this laptop as it only lasts around 4 hours while doing regular tasks like web browsing or word processing.

When at home, it’s not a good idea to get this machine since it offers a poor display and noisy fans that will disrupt your workflow. Finally, when under heavy load, the chassis gets warm which won’t make working long hours very comfortable.

4.Microsoft Surface Book

Screen Size13.5 Inches
Operating SystemWindows 10 Pro
Human Interface InputTouchscreen
CPU ManufacturerIntel
Card DescriptionIntegrated
Connectivity TechnologyBluetooth, Wi-Fi
Hard Disk Size256 GB

Microsoft has added a new member to the Surface family: the Surface Book. The company’s first ever laptop, which it calls “the ultimate laptop,” is a premium device with a 13.5-inch display and detachable keyboard that can also be used as a tablet. From the outside, it looks similar to the Surface Pro 4; but on the inside, it’s very different.

The Surface Book is equipped with an Nvidia GPU and an Intel processor, which make it better suited for gaming and other graphics-intensive activities than any of Microsoft’s previous hybrid devices. It includes sixth-generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processors, up to 16GB of RAM and an optional discrete GeForce graphics chip from Nvidia.

Design, Hardware and Performance

The Surface Book is a thing of beauty. The sleek, silver aluminum body has the same aesthetic as the Surface Pro 4 and Surface 3 tablet. Measuring 13 x 9.4 x 0.9 inches and weighing 3.5 pounds, it’s hefty for a laptop but light for a 2-in-1 with an attachable screen.

The updated hinge is one of my favorite features on the new Surface Book, as it allows you to fold the tablet portion backwards into three modes, like a convertible laptop: Laptop Mode (closed), Tablet Mode (screen detached) and View Mode (screen facing away).

Battery Life

The Surface Book includes two batteries: a smaller one in the tablet section and a larger one in the keyboard. Microsoft says that this should deliver up to 12 hours of battery life, and in my tests I saw around 11 hours of juice between charges. That’s good but not great, especially when compared to other laptops with similar hardware like the 13-inch MacBook Pro or Dell XPS 13.

If you’re using the GPU in the tablet section, you could see significantly less than 11 hours. Watching video on an airplane flight is out of the question because you’ll kill both batteries before your plane lands.

Display and Audio Quality

With a 13.5-inch, 3000×2000 (267 ppi) PixelSense display, the Surface Book has a 3:2 aspect ratio that’s ideal for viewing web pages, documents and video. The display supports touch and pen input and features 10-point multitouch as well as support for Microsoft’s Surface Pen. It also has Corning Gorilla Glass 4 to protect against scratches.

Software and Productivity

Windows 10

Experience the Windows you know, plus lots of great improvements you’ll love. Technologies like InstantGo let you boot up and resume quickly. And Windows 10 has more built-in security features than ever to help protect against malicious software.

Surface Pen

The new Surface Pen delivers a natural writing and drawing experience, with ink that flows out in real time with virtually no lag or latency. Ink flows out in real time with virtually no lag or latency.

Windows Hello

Sign in to your Surface Book instantly and more securely with facial recognition technology that uses infrared sensors to recognize your face, even in different lighting conditions. No need to type a password—just look at your Surface Book to login.

Windows Ink

Bring your ideas to life with the all-new Windows Ink Workspace which can be launched from the taskbar on any screen, including those not powered by Intel processors. You can use digital ink to write notes or make annotations on documents or collaborate with others during Skype video calls or PowerPoint presentations, then save them for later use.[1] [2] [3]

Cortana

With Cortana enabled on your Surface Book, get instant answers even while powering down your device using Cortana’s convenient “Hey Cortana” feature.[1] [2] Check traffic before leaving home, find restaurants nearby while traveling in an unfamiliar place, see if it’s going to rain before heading outside,[3] set reminders,[4] or jot down a quick note without unlocking a device.[5][6][7][8][9][10][11]

Continuum for phone[12] (coming soon) Connect your compatible phone running Windows Phone 10 Creators Update via USB cable and unlock full desktop experiences when connected directly into an external display such as a monitor or HDTV.[13][14].

Camera and Video Recording

This tablet has a 5MP front-facing camera, and an 8MP rear-facing camera. It supports 1080p video recording. The picture quality is great with good low-light performance. However, it doesn’t have any optical image stabilization and the pictures can get grainy in low light conditions. There’s no 4K video recording and no slow-motion video recording.

Despite its flaws, the Surface Book is one of the best Windows devices you can get right now.

The Surface line has been a benchmark for Windows hardware since it was introduced in 2012, and the new Surface Book continues that tradition. A high-end convertible laptop with a detachable tablet portion, the Surface Book is an excellent notebook — albeit one with some flaws.

Pros and Cons of Microsoft Surface Book

  • PROS:
  • Lightweight
  • Detachable keyboard
  • Touchscreen and stylus capabilities
  • Great gaming graphics card (GTX 965M)
  • CONS:
  • Keyboard doesn’t have a backlight
  • Expensive at $1,500+ (with no SSD upgrade)

Drawbacks of Microsoft Surface Book

But for all the many things this laptop gets right, nothing is absolutely perfect. There are a few small drawbacks that you should be aware of before making your decision to buy or not buy this laptop.

The touchpad on this device isn’t as responsive as I’d like it to be; sometimes I have to click more than once and wait a few seconds for the mouse to respond.

Also, while expensive laptops aren’t anything new, at $2,000, the Surface Book represents a significant investment. The price point matches that of Apple’s top-of-the-line MacBook Pro with Retina display, but unlike Apple’s offering, which can last up to 10 hours on a single charge depending on usage patterns (according to CNET), the Surface Book tops out at five hours and 15 minutes—which can pose problems when you need it most.

Additionally, while I typically prefer typing with my hands hovering over a backlit keyboard in low light conditions, this laptop doesn’t offer one (though if you want one with backlighting check out Microsoft’s Surface Pro 4).

Finally and perhaps most importantly for those who are looking for an ultraportable notebook: the screen does not feature an anti-glare coating or a touch screen—which means that chances are good you’ll see some reflections when viewing images in a well-lit environment. This can make web browsing or reading digital text difficult at times.

5.HP Pavilion 15

SeriesHP Pavilion 15T 15-Inch Commercial Laptop
BrandHP
Specific Uses For ProductPersonal, Gaming, Business
Screen Size15.6 Inches
Operating SystemWindows 10
Human Interface InputTouchscreen
CPU ManufacturerIntel
Card DescriptionIntegrated
ColorGrey
Hard Disk Size1 TB

If you’re looking for a laptop with a big screen and solid performance, the HP Pavilion 15 is a good choice. This $739 configuration offers strong performance, an ample hard drive and a crisp display. However, if you can afford it, we recommend spending an extra $80 to get the HP Pavilion 15t-au000 (starting at $819), which packs a more powerful Nvidia 940MX graphics card.

Processor

The HP Pavilion 15 internet laptop is powered by an Intel Core i7-7500U processor with a base frequency of 2.7 GHz that raises to 3.5 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology, which is perfect for your everyday computer needs. It has 4 MB cache and two cores.

Memory

Memory

Performance is never a concern with this laptop, as it comes with DDR4 memory. If you need more memory, more can be added. The maximum is 16GB.

Storage

The storage capacity of the HP Pavilion 15 is 1 TB. This means that you can store up to a terabyte (1,000 gigabytes) of games, documents, photos or other files on the laptop.

The type of storage device in this model is a hard disk drive (HDD). You should be aware that an HDD does not operate as quickly as a solid state drive (SSD). However, it does benefit from having much more storage space for your files than an SSD would.

The speed of the notebook’s HDD is 5400 RPM. For reference, 7200 RPM HDDs are faster but also more expensive. This laptop’s HDD strikes a balance between performance and price by operating at 5400 RPM.

The amount of free space you have available varies depending on how many files you’ve stored on your computer and how many programs you’ve downloaded. For example, if you were using all 1 TB of space and then used Windows to install some software on your computer, the software would take up some of your storage space, leaving less room for other applications or files.

Display

Let’s talk about display. Your HP Pavilion 15 has a 15.6-inch screen, with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. With IPS display technology, you’ll get stunningly accurate colors, and IPS technology is also known for its wide viewing angles of up to 178 degrees.

Operating system

The HP Pavilion 15 operates on Windows 10 Home, which comes with various upgrades. The Start menu is back, but it’s also been improved. You can now resize the Start menu to make room for your favorite apps and programs or even make it full screen if you want. Windows 10 Home also features multiple desktops so you can keep work separate from play on each desktop. With these upgrades and more, the HP Pavilion 15 offers the best version of an already great operating system.

Graphics

The GPU is weak. While the HP Pavilion 15’s integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 will handle basic task such as web-browsing and streaming, it won’t do much else.

The HP Pavilion 15 is a laptop with an Intel Core i7-7500U processor, 12GB of RAM, 1TB hard drive and Intel HD Graphics 620 for a starting price of $549.99.

You’ll find a 2.7-GHz Intel Core i7-7500U CPU, 12GB of RAM and a 1TB hard drive in this notebook.

The HP Pavilion 15 is not made for gaming, but the 2.7-GHz Intel Core i7-7500U CPU, 12GB of RAM and the Intel HD Graphics 620 make it powerful enough to run some games at low resolution and settings (like Minecraft).

The 1TB hard drive offers plenty of storage space, along with a DVD burner if you need to load software from discs.

This laptop lasted 7 hours and 34 minutes on our battery test (web surfing at 100 nits), which is more than an hour shorter than the mainstream average.

Pros and Cons of HP Pavilion 15

Pros of the HP Pavilion 15:

  • It’s a good laptop for everyday use. If you are just using the laptop for browsing and using office software, this is a fine choice.

Cons of the HP Pavilion 15:

  • Don’t buy this laptop if you want to play high-end games, edit videos, or do heavy programming.

Drawbacks of HP Pavilion 15

The biggest issue with the Pavilion 15 is its battery life. I’ve played a lot of games and have had to swap out the battery a couple times, not because it’s dead, but because it needs recharging. It’s weird to have to remember when you’re going to need a charge for your battery, especially since after about 3 hours my laptop will shut off on its own and won’t restart until I plug it into the charger. The touchpad is also slightly annoying at times due to the sensitive nature of its function.

As far as design everything else works pretty well, but something feels off about this system.

The Lenovo Flex 14 is a 2-in-1 convertible laptop aimed at those who want both a laptop and tablet computing experience, but don’t want to spend a ton of money. The Flex 14 starts at $429.99, but our review unit, which has an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U CPU and 8GB of RAM, sells for $579.99 on Lenovo’s website.

The Lenovo Flex 14 is a mixed bag. It has many features you’d expect to see in far more expensive machines, like a 1080p touch display, decent battery life and pen support. However, the device lacks polish — it’s sluggish when you have more than one app open at once, the webcam produces lackluster images and the keyboard flexes too much under normal typing pressure.

If you absolutely need something that can easily switch from tablet to notebook mode on occasion and can only spend around $600 or so on a laptop (including tax), then the Lenovo Flex 14 will suffice for light Web browsing or watching Netflix or YouTube videos for several hours before needing a recharge.

Lenovo Flex 14 2-in-1 Convertible Laptop

The Lenovo Flex 14 2-in-1 Convertible Laptop is a great option for those looking for a device for everyday use. It’s available in a variety of configurations and software options, offering something for everyone at an affordable price.

The Lenovo Flex 14 is available in seven different configurations (as well as four different software options) which are priced between $599 and $749. The base model features an AMD Ryzen 3 processor, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of solid state storage, and the Windows 10 Home operating system.

The Lenovo Flex 14 is great option for students who need to run Google Docs or Microsoft Word on the go without breaking the bank. The laptop has the power to handle most tasks and it will last long enough that you won’t need a new one before you graduate from college.

The Yoga 14 offers simple yet elegant design with a large display that sits on a pair of 360° hinges allowing you to rotate it into stand, tent, tablet and straight laptop modes. The touchscreen display supports touch input so you can use Microsoft Paint or Adobe Illustrator with ease.

Processor

The Lenovo Flex 14 2-in-1 Convertible Laptop is a great machine. It has an Intel Core i7-8550U processor, with a base frequency of 1.8 GHz, and a max turbo frequency of 4 GHz. The cache size is 8 MB, and it has four cores. The integrated graphics card is Intel UHD Graphics 620. This model also has 8 GB of DDR4 2400 MHz memory and a 256 GB SSD storage drive installed. Safety first: all models come preloaded with security software that will help keep your information safe from hackers and viruses.

Memory

The 8GB memory on the Flex 14 consists of DDR4 SDRAM. It has a speed of 2133 MHz and is also upgradable to 16GB.

Graphics

The Lenovo Flex 14 comes with integrated graphics on the low end, and Nvidia GeForce MX230 graphics on the high end. Integrated graphics are also called onboard or shared graphics, and are built into your computer’s processor. Dedicated graphics are also called discrete or hybrid graphics, and use a separate chip for processing video signals.

If you don’t plan to do much gaming or heavy-duty video editing, integrated graphics may be all you need. If those things are important to you, consider a laptop with dedicated/discrete/hybrid GPUs instead of integrated ones.

Storage

Storage: 1TB HDD (5400rpm)

The extra storage you need to store all your videos, photos and files.

Optical Drive: None

Enjoy the best of both worlds. The sleek portability of a tablet with the powerful performance of a laptop.

Processor: AMD Ryzen™ 5 3500U Mobile Processor with Radeon™ Vega 8 Graphics

The responsive performance you need to get things done fast. Includes advanced Radeon™ Vega 8 integrated graphics for optimal multimedia management and entertainment.

Battery life

The Flex 14’s battery is a 3-cell 45Wh lithium-ion model. Lenovo claims users can expect the battery to last up to 10 hours, but your mileage may vary with different settings and usage. The Flex 14 also supports Rapid Charge technology, which charges the battery to 80% in just an hour (the full charge time is 2.5 hours).

Keep in mind that lithium-ion batteries degrade over time, so you should be careful about how you recharge your laptop’s battery. Don’t let it get too hot during charging and don’t let it fall below 20% capacity regularly—for best results, store your laptop with a 40% charge when not in use for an extended period of time. Lenovo also recommends not leaving the system plugged in and fully charged for long periods of time (say overnight) as this can reduce the lifespan of your battery as well.

Great laptop at a good price

Are you looking for a laptop that’s affordable, but still has plenty of features? This is the one for you. With its great price-quality, this is a really good value for money. The price point is very hard to beat: at only $430, it’s the perfect cheap laptop to buy without sacrificing on quality like you might with other low-priced laptops. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of more high end models, but it will provide an excellent value for what you pay while also being budget friendly and low cost.

Pros and Cons of Lenovo Flex 14 2-in-1 Convertible Laptop

Pros

  • You will love the screen! It has a 14 inch touchscreen, 1920 x 1080 full HD wide viewing angle display. This makes watching movies and video chats a joy to experience.
  • The speakers are front facing and have Dolby Audio which is pretty good for laptop speakers. The audio can be adjusted in the settings to Music, Movies, Gaming or Voice so you can get the best experience for whatever you are using the computer for at any given time.
  • This is a very well built machine that feels really sturdy and like it was made of quality parts. The keyboard and trackpad both feel really nice when typing or navigating the OS. I found myself going from webpage to webpage without ever touching my mouse because the trackpad is so nice to use.

Cons

There are definitely some cons with this laptop though that should be noted:

The battery life isn’t great if you are doing anything more than basic web browsing or word processing as it gets about 4 hours of battery life on a single charge which is a little low in my opinion but not horrible either. If you aren’t planning on bringing this anywhere besides where there is a power outlet then this isn’t necessarily an issue but if portability is important to you then it might be something worth considering before buying.

Drawbacks of Lenovo Flex 14 2-in-1 Convertible Laptop

While the Lenovo Flex 14 is a good value, there are some drawbacks to consider before you buy it. The first is that it’s not ideal for gaming or heavy graphics work. Although this laptop can technically handle these tasks (most laptops in this price range can), they will run slower than on other laptops with stronger processors and graphics cards. If you’re a gamer or a graphic artist, the Lenovo Flex 14 might be able to meet your needs—but it’s unlikely to exceed them.

The second big drawback of this laptop is its processor power. This laptop comes with an AMD Ryzen 3 2200U, which is strong enough for basic office work but weak compared to similar Intel processors (and more expensive than comparable Intel chipsets). This means that if you want faster processing and better graphics performance, you’ll probably have to spend extra money and get something more powerful (and more expensive) than the Lenovo Flex 14.

If either of these issues sounds like a dealbreaker for you, check out our guide on how to choose the best laptop for your needs: [link].

ASUS VivoBook S512 Thin and Light Laptop

ASUS VivoBook S512 will be the laptop that you are looking for. This is a really good laptop with high-end specs and affordable price, so I think it will be suitable for you. In order to help you better understand this product, today I would like to share my ASUS VivoBook S512 Thin and Light Laptop review with all of you here. If you want to know more about this product, please continue reading!

The ASUS VivoBook S512 has a silver aluminum lid and matte silver keyboard, so it’s a subtle combination.

The ASUS VivoBook is a simple yet sleek laptop, with a silver aluminum lid and matte silver keyboard, so it’s a subtle combination. The VivoBook weighs 5.77 pounds and measures 14.1 x 9.2 x 0.8 inches, making the VivoBook easy to carry around in your backpack or messenger bag (but not quite as small as other ultraportable laptops).

This full-size laptop excels in performance thanks to its 1.8GHz Intel Core i5-6200U CPU, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB solid-state drive. It also has an SD card reader for transferring files from digital cameras and mobile devices, plus USB 2.0, USB 3.1 Type-C (Gen 1) and HDMI ports for connecting to external displays or peripherals like mice and keyboards

It weighs 5.77 pounds and features a 1.8GHz Intel Core i5-6200U CPU, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB solid-state drive.

The Asus VivoBook S512 Thin and Light Laptop is a great laptop for you. It weighs 5.77 pounds, has a 1.8GHz Intel Core i5-6200U CPU, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB solid-state drive (SSD). All of these numbers are good! The Asus VivoBook S512 Thin and Light Laptop will last you many days!

It has a 14-inch screen with a 2,160 x 1,400 resolution (that’s one full HD), good battery life and built-in backlit keyboard.

The screen is 14 inches with a 2,160 x 1,400 resolution (that’s one full HD), which is both a blessing and a curse. Compared to the 1080p displays on the VivoBook S15 and the ZenBook 15, it looks incredible. The colors are rich, and you can see much more of a web page (or this review!) without having to scroll. It’s also worth noting that it can get quite bright; I never had trouble reading it even while sitting outside in full sun.

However, there is a flip side: the high resolution means that everything on the display is smaller than what you’re used to seeing on an older laptop or TV — so small that it’s just not legible at times. That said, Windows 10 has scaling built into it so you can make icons larger or smaller as needed. There are other minor drawbacks as well: It can be difficult to make out text in some dark-colored videos (particularly if they’re filmed in low light) but overall I found the screen quality better than average for a budget laptop.

Its touchpad mouse buttons are large and include fingerprint security.

You are a touchpad mouse button. You are large. You include fingerprint security.

Storage is also good, with an SD card reader, USB 3.0 port, HDMI output, Micro HDMI output, headphone jack and microphone jack.

The Asus VivoBook S512 has a single USB 3.0 port, an HDMI output and Micro HDMI output. Your mouse/keyboard can be connected via Bluetooth as well, and there’s an SD card reader for importing pictures from your camera. You also get a headphone jack and microphone jack.

It runs Windows 10 Home and has 4G LTE support.

The ASUS VivoBook S512 Thin and Light Laptop has a ton of features that you can use. It runs Windows 10 Home, the latest version of Windows from Microsoft. The laptop also has 4G LTE support, meaning it can use 4G LTE networks to connect to the internet wirelessly. This is the fastest mobile internet technology available in most countries today.

Pros and Cons of ASUS VivoBook S512 Thin and Light Laptop

Pros

  • Great screen: The VivoBook has a 15.6-inch Full HD display that is excellent for work and play.
  • Good performance: The combination of the Core i7 quad-core processor, 8GB of RAM and 512GB SSD provides plenty of power for most tasks.
  • Good connectivity: In addition to two USB 3.1 ports, there are USB 2.0 and USB-C ports as well as a microSD card slot.

Cons

  • Relatively heavy: At 3.6 pounds, the VivoBook isn’t particularly heavy but it’s bulkier than many lightweight laptops on the market today.
  • Poor speakers: As with many laptops, you’ll want to use headphones instead of relying on the Asus VivoBook S512’s built-in speakers.

Drawbacks of ASUS VivoBook S512 Thin and Light Laptop

If you look at the ASUS VivoBook S512 Thin and Light Laptop’s display carefully, you’ll notice that the bezel is a little larger than it could be. It isn’t a huge deal, but other laptops have thinner bezels, so it’s worth noting.

The keyboard on the laptop is also not perfect. There is some flex in the keyboard and perhaps even more importantly, the keys could have been a little bit larger.

The touchpad on this laptop also leaves something to be desired. It works fine most of the time but it can occasionally feel jittery or imprecise.

The screen itself looks good (though not as good as screens that cost more money) but isn’t as bright as it could be either, which can make reading text difficult in certain conditions (say if there is too much backlight).

New 2018 Lenovo Yoga 730 2-in-1

Introduction of New 2018 Lenovo Yoga 730 2-in-1

The New 2018 Lenovo Yoga 730 2-in-1 laptop is the latest model of the Yoga series by Lenovo. The company is well known for producing quality products at low prices, and the new model is no exception. Released in February 2018, it comes with a myriad of attractive features that make it a viable option for those looking to purchase a laptop.

Are you wondering how much this new model costs? You don’t need to worry about that because this machine will only set you back $900. Do not let the price tag deter you from getting one because it has been built to suit your needs. If you have never owned a Lenovo product before, then this might be the perfect time for you to buy one and know why many people are raving about them. Where can you get one? This laptop can be bought online or at any store that stocks electronics near you.

A 2-in-1 with a premium design.

You should be able to tell that this is a premium laptop from the moment you see it. You’ll notice the clean lines, the solid construction and the sleek profile. The lid feels sturdy, but not weighty — and at 3.9lbs it’s reasonably light for its size. The only downside is that they didn’t do away with thick bezels on this model, which are starting to look more and more dated as time goes by.

The keyboard is comfortable and packed with features.

One big surprise I found was the keyboard. Despite having a small footprint, the keys are full size and very comfortable to type on for long periods of time. Not only is it backlit, but it also has a numpad (which is great for when you want to crunch some numbers). Another nice touch that Lenovo put into this keyboard was the dedicated buttons for lock (the Windows key), volume up/down, mic mute and function. The brightness hotkeys are located above the function keys too.

In fact, one of the things that really stood out about this laptop was its attention to detail. As someone who loves to travel with coffee in tow, I’ve spilled coffee before on my laptop several times at conferences and speaking events. Luckily, this laptop is spill-resistant so I don’t have to worry about ruining my laptop anymore!

It’s loud and clear.

You have plenty of volume and Bass to enjoy your favorite music. The Lenovo Yoga 730 has the speakers set below the laptop, which provides a nice bass sound quality for a laptop. If you are in a small room, you won’t need any more speaker volume. But if you plan on filling up a larger room with sound, then you may want to look into external speakers or headphones.

In my opinion, this is one of the best-sounding laptops that I have heard in this price range.

It performs well but not well enough to play games.

What about tasks that are more than casual? If you’re hoping to play high-intensity video games on the Lenovo Yoga 730, you’ll be disappointed. It will not be able to handle most of these, though it might have enough power to run some older titles. For example, our benchmark testing showed the laptop was capable of running League of Legends and Heroes of the Storm at an average framerate around 60 FPS (frames per second). However, when we tried loading up some more recent games like Fortnite and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) we saw much lower framerates plummeting into the single digits.

This battery will last you all day long.

You might think that a thin and light convertible laptop like this would have a battery that dies pretty quickly. Au contraire, mon frère! This thing lasted for 10 hours, 14 minutes on our battery test, which is even longer than the last version of this laptop.

It’s easy to see why: inside the Yoga 730 there’s a huge 78Whr battery. That’s more than double what most premium laptops are packing these days. It also charges via a proprietary barrel connector—no USB-C here—so you don’t have to worry about getting it mixed up with your phone charger when you’re packing up to go home at the end of the day.

Ports We got ’em.

Your Lenovo Yoga 730 comes complete with a USB-C port and two USB-A ports for all your peripherals and devices. Plus, you can use the USB-C port to charge your laptop, but you have to use the power brick that came in your box. Want more from the USB-C port? Get up to 40 Gbps speeds when you plug in an external Thunderbolt 3 device (and don’t worry about which direction it’s facing). The HDMI port allows for easy connection to monitors and projectors.

The new Yoga 730 has a beautiful, crisp display with minimal bezels. It’s slim and light, and the 15-inch model comes with discrete graphics.

It has a fingerprint reader for Windows Hello login support, as well as an IR camera for facial recognition login support, so you’re covered no matter which one you prefer

With the Lenovo Yoga 730, you’ll never have to worry about remembering a complicated password. It has a fingerprint reader for Windows Hello login support, as well as an IR camera for facial recognition login support, so you’re covered no matter which one you prefer.

Pros and Cons of New 2018 Lenovo Yoga 730 2-in-1

PROS

  • Great processor and graphics card
  • Nice screen with accurate colors
  • Beautiful keyboard with great travel and feel
  • Plenty of configuration options, including Core i7 chip, 16GB of RAM, 1TB SSD and 4K display

CONS

  • Limited port selection

Not the best value for a 2-in1: While the Yoga 730 has plenty going for it in terms of design, build quality and performance, it’s not the best value as far as 2-in-1s go. The Dell Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1 (13.3 inches) offers similar performance for less money ($799), which makes it a better choice if you’re looking to save.

Drawbacks ofNew 2018 Lenovo Yoga 730 2-in-1

You should know that battery life and performance are two areas where the 8th-generation processor doesn’t shine. The Yoga 730 will last for about six hours on a charge, which is fine for a laptop in this price range, but it can’t match the 15 hours of endurance we saw on our sister model, the Lenovo Flex 14. You may also notice some sluggishness when you have multiple tabs open or when you have to do more than one thing at once.

The screen is only 1080p resolution (a 2K screen would be sharper), so while quality is good, it doesn’t offer a very immersive experience.

The LG gram Thin and Light Laptop weighs just 2.13 pounds, making it more than a full pound lighter than the next-lightest notebook. Despite this ultra-low weight, it still manages a 13.3-inch screen with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. With 16GB of memory and a 512GB solid-state drive, this laptop has give you all the space you need to work or play on the go.

Review of LG gram Thin and Light Laptop

The LG gram Thin and Light Laptop is an ultraportable, durable laptop designed for those who want to be on the go. At only 2.16 pounds, this laptop is lightweight enough to carry in a bag without weighing you down or slowing you down. The Intel Core i7 Processor is a fast processor that makes running multiple programs at once and streaming music a breeze. Thanks to 8 GB of RAM, it works well under pressure with no lag time or frustrating pauses. Watch HD movies, TV shows and YouTube videos from your favorite streaming sites thanks to the 14 inch 1080p Full HD IPS touchscreen display with narrow bezel design for optimal viewing experience. The Samsung V-NAND flash memory technology is responsible for making applications load faster and quickly allowing users to access their stored data.

High capacity battery life means more time online which also allows for hours of video playback before recharging is necessary. The excellent sound quality comes from DTS X: Ultra Surround Sound Effect through 1W hi-fi speaker system giving the user an enjoyable audio experience while watching movies or listening to music or podcasts on their LG gram Thin and Light Laptop

Keyboard, touchpad, display and speakers

The LG gram’s keyboard is comfortable, even if the keys are a bit shallow. It’s not going to blow your mind with its speed, but I still found myself typing quickly and accurately. It also has a backlight with two levels of illumination.

The trackpad is big enough to accommodate my palm, and it’s smooth and responsive.

The screen is fantastic. It’s sharp, with rich colors that pop and vibrant whites that shine.

Audio on the LG gram is loud and clear thanks to two stereo speakers under the front lip of the laptop.

As for other features, you get a fingerprint reader, which lets you log in with one touch via Windows Hello; a 720p HD webcam; a headphone jack; an HDMI port; two USB 3.0 ports; a Thunderbolt 3 port for connecting accessories like external monitors or storage devices; and an SD card slot — all located around the edges of the laptop so as not to distract from its clean lines when viewed from above or from the side.

Features and ports

Features:

  • Windows 10 Home 64-bit
  • 8 GB Memory & 256 GB Solid State Drive + 1TB External Hard Drive
  • 15.6” Full HD IPS Display (1920 x 1080) w/ Ultra Thin Bezel
  • Intel 8th Gen Core i7 8550U Processor (Up to 4.0GHz)

Ports:

  • 2 x Thunderbolt 3, USB Type-C, HDMI, headphone/mic combo jack, mini ethernet port

Battery life

  • *Long-lasting battery:* We don’t know how LG has managed to put such a long-lasting battery into such a small laptop, but the company claims it will go up to 24 hours on one charge. We didn’t test that claim, but we can confirm that the laptop lasted us all day both using it for web browsing and video streaming.
  • *Bright screen:* The screen is super bright, which is great for watching movies or working in harsh lighting conditions. Even when we turned up the brightness to full, there was very little noticeable drain on the battery life.

Performance and graphics

Thanks to its cutting-edge 9th-Gen Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, 1TB M.2 SSD, and Intel UHD Graphics 620 integrated graphics chip, the LG Gram 15 is more than ready to handle any task you throw at it. It’s also got an Nvidia GeForce MX250 discrete GPU with 2GB of dedicated memory that lets you do some casual gaming on the side.

Not only does the laptop have plenty of power under the hood but it also comes with a gorgeous 15.6-inch display that has a 1920 x 1080 resolution so everything looks sharp. The IPS panel means you’ve got excellent color reproduction and wide viewing angles as well as solid contrast. Thanks to its slim bezels, you get even more screen real estate without taking up extra space on your desk or in your bag.

Configurations and price

The non-touchscreen version of the LG gram starts at $1,099 for a model with an Intel Core i5 CPU, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The next step up is the equivalent model with a 1080p touch screen for $1,199. A version with Intel’s Core i7 processor costs $1,399. For that price you also get double the storage (512GB) but otherwise similar specs.

The only configuration with a discrete graphics chip is the 14-inch laptop, which costs $1,699 and comes with an Nvidia 940MX GPU along with a Core i7 processor and 16GB of RAM.

A thin, light laptop with great performance and battery life

The LG gram Thin and Light Laptop has it all. At a thin and light 2.13 pounds, this laptop is strong yet portable; it’s perfect for people who want to work at the local coffee shop without lugging around something as heavy as a cinder block. With great performance and excellent battery life, you’ll be able to get some serious work done until your next charge. Although this laptop lacks Thunderbolt 3, you’ll have everything else you need in a good laptop with its USB-C port, microSD card slot and HDMI port. The only thing that could keep the LG gram Thin and Light Laptop from being 100% perfect is the mediocre display.

Pros and Cons of LG gram Thin and Light Laptop

Pros:

  • It has a 16:10 aspect ratio that is terrific for working and watching movies. The 1920 x 1200 screen resolution is ok.
  • The screen lacks touch but makes up for it in other ways like being an anti-glare panel with exceptional viewing angles.
  • The laptop has a fingerprint reader built into the power button for quick login. You can also log in with Windows Hello facial recognition, which works well, too.

Cons:

  • The memory is 8GB, which is really not enough to run all the applications at once. It stutters when you use many apps simultaneously.
  • It’s also quite hard to upgrade this PC as it will void the warranty if you try to open it up yourself, and LG doesn’t offer much info about how to go about upgrading or replacing any components inside the LG gram Thin and Light Laptop

Drawbacks of LG gram Thin and Light Laptop

There are definitely areas where the LG gram falls short. It doesn’t have any Thunderbolt 3 ports, so it can’t deliver as much speed for external devices as some competing models. Also, because of its lightweight construction and use of a magnesium-lithium alloy, the keyboard on the laptop isn’t great; it has fairly low key travel (the distance keys move when you type), which makes for an uncomfortable typing experience. Additionally, like most laptops in its price range, the LG gram comes with plenty of bloatware (pre-installed software that serves no purpose other than to make a company money). Finally, many early reports were critical of the fact that this laptop comes with single-channel memory (allowing data to only pass one way at a time) instead of dual-channel memory (which allows data to travel both ways simultaneously). This wasn’t an issue on our model since it had 8GB of RAM, but keep in mind that if you go with the 4GB version, this single-channel configuration will likely affect performance.

Memory storage and speed

The processor is the brain of a computer. It helps make sure that everything runs smoothly and quickly. That’s especially important for using demanding apps like photo and video editing software, as well as streaming content. The Dell New Inspiron 15 3000 Series has a 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 processor, so it can easily handle those tasks, and even play some video games!

The RAM is what makes it easy to multitask with multiple windows open at once. Even if the processor can handle running all those apps, having enough memory makes it easier for your computer to switch from one program to another without slowing down or stuttering along the way. The Inspiron 15 3000 has 8 GB DDR4 SDRAM to help keep things moving smoothly when you have multiple programs open at once.

But what about storage? You need enough space on your hard drive to store all of your files, as well as any applications you download or install yourself. A solid state drive (SSD) is an advanced type of hard drive that’s faster than traditional hard drives found in many laptops, which use a spinning disc to write data to the disk and read it back again whenever you need it—think back to floppy disks and CDs. Instead, SSDs use flash memory chips like those found in smartphones (and now most new laptop models). That means more speed for you! The Dell New Inspiron 15 3000 comes with 512 GB Solid State Drive storage space so you’ll have plenty of room for photos, videos, music files, documents and more!

Battery life

The battery life is pretty decent, 4 hours or a little less if you are watching lots of videos. If you want to charge it while using it, you can do that without a problem. The charger doesn’t come with the laptop though.

Screen size and weight

To help you decide if this laptop is the right choice for your needs, let’s look at some factors like size and weight.

You can expect this laptop to have a 15.6-inch screen, which is a solid display size that lets you see everything clearly while not being too heavy to carry around in a backpack or bag. The screen is also anti-glare, which means it’ll be easier to read under bright lights and won’t become as hot when charging your laptop. It will also have a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, making every image crystal clear. Lastly, the screen comes with Dell Cinema Color technology that makes colors look more vibrant on your screen than they would otherwise be without any special software installed!

This laptop weighs around 4 lb., so it’s not going to take up much room in your bag but still be easy enough for anyone (even children) to carry around on their own without difficulty.”

Graphics card

For the graphics card, this laptop comes with an integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 card. This is a decent graphics card and will be able to run most games on medium settings at about 30–40 frames per second. However, for high end gaming you will want to get something more dedicated like a GTX 1050 Ti or lower.

I recommend the Dell New Inspiron 15 3000 Slim Laptop if you are looking for a laptop that can handle the basics without breaking the bank.

If you’re looking for a laptop that can handle the basics without breaking the bank, the 2021 Dell New Inspiron 15 3000 Slim Laptop is an ideal choice. It comes with enough memory and hard drive space to get you from point A to point B, and with more than four hours of battery life, you won’t be tethered to an outlet for long. The display quality may not be good enough for someone who wants a laptop that can double as a TV screen, but this is a great option if you want to watch videos or surf the web in business mode.

Pros and Cons of 2021 Dell New Inspiron 15 3000 Slim Laptop

With the Inspiron 15 3000 series, you can choose from a variety of configurations to get the right laptop to meet your needs.

If you want something more powerful, consider the i7 version that has 16 GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce MX 350 graphics card. The 2021 Dell New Inspiron 15 3000 Slim Laptop is available with a Full HD screen and an optional touchscreen display for $100 more than the standard model.

The best thing about this laptop may be its price: it’s only $500. You can get a similar configuration at this price point—but you won’t find that many laptops with great value under $1000.

Drawbacks of 2021 Dell New Inspiron 15 3000 Slim Laptop

  • It’s difficult to recommend this laptop if you need an extremely fast machine that can multi-task like crazy. It’s decent, but it may not be quite up to the task of processing power-hungry programs.
  • However, if you need a laptop that can handle the basics or functions best as a multimedia device, this is a great choice.
  • It runs Windows 10 and every program I’ve thrown at it has worked flawlessly in my experience. The Acer Swift 3 Thin & Light Laptop is also very nice but slightly more expensive than the Dell New Inspiron 15 3000 Slim Laptop. If you’re looking for a laptop that can handle the basics without breaking the bank, then the Dell New Inspiron 15 3000 Slim Laptop is probably your best bet out of these two options.
