The first thing you need to do when considering buying a laptop for a student is to think about whether the student has any computer skills at all. If they do not, then it is probably better to look elsewhere. It may also be worth asking them what they would like from their new computer before making your purchase so that you get something suitable for them.
If the student does have some basic computer skills then it is best to look at laptops that come with at least one USB port which allows them to connect other peripherals and external hard drives. They should also have enough memory and hard drive space so that they can download and save large amounts of data without having to worry about running out of space.

If you’re interested in playing games on your laptop, then the NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics card with 2 GB of dedicated GDDR5 VRAM is a solid choice. This should be more than enough for light to moderate gaming, especially considering that the MX150 is considered by many to be better than the 940MX.
8GB Dual Channel Memory & 256GB SSD
- 8GB Dual Channel Memory & 256GB SSD:
Dual channel memory is a DDR, DDR2, or DDR3 chipset on the motherboard providing RAM with two dedicated high-throughput data channels. The main advantage of dual channel mode is its ability to double theoretical bandwidth for real-world performance gains that are noticeable to users.
A solid state drive (SSD) differs from a hard disk drive (HDD) in that it contains no mechanical parts and stores data in flash memory. This means an SSD boots up faster and performs everyday tasks more quickly than an HDD. There’s also no noise from mechanical parts because all the components are electronic, resulting in less heat production and lower power consumption than HDDs. To compare SSDs to SDDs (Solid State Drives), you’ll need a magnifying glass—they’re basically identical! In summary, if you’re looking for fast start-up speeds, read/write speeds, reliability, low latency and low power consumption when gaming or crunching large files such as videos and photos, then this Acer desktop computer has what you need!
pro and cons of Acer Aspire E 15 Laptop, 15.6″ Full HD,
After seeing the Acer Aspire E 15 available in stores and looking at its specs and features, we were excited to give it a try. However, as we disassembled it, we noticed that there was no USB-C port for future-proofing with new devices, so we had to choose if spending a little more money for the Acer Laptop would be worth it.
This laptop is great for those who want to get into PC gaming without breaking the bank, since it comes with a solid 1080p display and an Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti graphics card. With 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of SSD storage, this laptop can run most modern games easily. As for battery life on this laptop, I tested my Acer E 15 out of the house on an hour’s charge and found that it lasted longer than what I’d expect from other laptops. The only real downside to this laptop is that there isn’t any thunderbolt 3 support or any USB C ports (only 2 USB type A ports). Even though they’re not necessary in our day-to-day lives, they are important moving forward when trying to be more modern or helpful with accessories like hard drives and external monitors.
Acer Aspire E 15 is your best bet for a competitively priced laptop.
- You want a laptop that is good for gaming.
- You want a laptop that has good graphics.
- You want a laptop that is good for multitasking.
- You want a laptop that is good for business.
- You want a laptop that is good for general use.
- You want a laptop that is good for school.
- You are looking to buy your child their very first laptop and you know they will be using it in college and/or university and beyond, so you want something that will last them for years to come.
- If you work from home or own your own business then this Acer Aspire E15 Laptop PC could very well be the perfect buy because not only can you get work done but also have fun with some games on the side too! The best of both worlds really!“`

The Lenovo Flex 14, one of the latest additions to the company’s range of laptops, is not a bad computer. With its AMD processor and Vega 8 Graphics, it runs pretty fast and provides good performance in general. There are quite a few features available as well that work fine. The battery life is also adequate at around 7 hours. On top of this, the screen size is 14 inches with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels which give you a high-quality image. The storage comes in at 256 GB SSD and you get 8 GB DDR4 RAM which should be enough for most people – but if you need more there are additional slots free for an upgrade.
Also included is a good keyboard and above average speakers which make this machine great value for money!
This product was sent to me by Lenovo but I have not been paid for this review or influenced by them at all (other than being given some free swag)
pro and cons of Lenovo Flex 14 2-in-1 Convertible Laptop, 14 Inch
The Lenovo Flex 14 is a great electronics product that you can use for many things. Some people use it for gaming, but I don’t do that. The battery life on this model is short, about 4 hours, but the sound is good for a laptop and there are usually plenty of ports to connect what you need to connect. You might want to get a cooling pad because it gets hot when you’re using it and if that bothers you then this product isn’t right for you. In my opinion, anyone who gets annoyed by heat shouldn’t have electronic devices. This convertible laptop has some of the same problems as other models its size, like being heavy and having a dim screen but if you’re looking to buy this model I would say go ahead!
A great laptop!
The Lenovo Flex 14 is a great laptop for the price. There are not a lot of laptops that have this size of the screen and this amount of RAM and storage space, especially those that are convertible. The battery life is excellent, it’s fast and responsive to commands, has great speakers, and can handle video editing work (I use Adobe Premier Pro), watching videos, office work with multiple pages open at once, or surfing the internet. It’s a good looking computer too!
There are some cons to this laptop though. In order to save space on it since it doesn’t have an optical drive built in like some older laptops have, they disabled the ability to change the boot sequence from Windows Boot Manager unless you do that through your BIOS settings during start up. This may not seem like a big deal until you want to install another OS on it or repair your OS on this laptop. They also did not include an Ethernet port so if you want to use one you need an adapter which should be included in the box. Also keep in mind that since it is a 2 in 1 laptop so when using it as a tablet you will get fingerprints all over the screen but I am sure everyone knew this already just thought I would mention anyway!
Overall though I think this is one heck of nice computer for its price point!
drwabacks of Lenovo Flex 14 2-in-1 Convertible Laptop, 14 Inch
- The Lenovo is a little heavier compared to the average laptop, which could be a problem when you’re traveling with it.
- Although its flexible qualities are a huge plus, I wouldn’t recommend typing on the device in tablet mode. It’s just not as good as using an actual laptop keyboard.

pro and cons of Acer Chromebook Two in One Laptop, 13.5 Inches, Chrome
- Specs are great for the price.
- Touchscreen is nice, but not a necessity.
- Battery life is great! You can use this laptop all day without an issue.
- Keyboard feels good to type on and keys are responsive as well.
- Screen is a fingerprint magnet so keep cleaning cloth handy! It also has some glare issues outdoors in bright sunlight which can be fixed with a screen protector (included with purchase).
- The trackpad isn’t amazing and doesn’t have much sensitivity to it which makes it hard to use if you have large hands or fingers like me (I wear size 11 shoes ladies).
This chromebook is a great value for the specs it has.
It’s a great value for the specs it has. The screen is very bright and sharp, the keyboard feels comfortable to type on, and the trackpad is good. It’s fast and well built. The speakers are loud so you can watch movies or play games without having to plug in headphones.
The computer runs cool so it doesn’t get overheated when using it for long periods of time (which I have done with no issues) or when playing graphically intense video games like GTA V on Steam (I haven’t tried running any other games yet). It’s also quiet even when streaming videos or playing music at high volume levels which is nice if you don’t want to disturb those around you while doing those things in public places like cafes or libraries!

You may want to consider this laptop if you’re looking for a Chromebook that can double as an Android tablet. It has the advantage of being able to run on an Android operating system, and it’s not as expensive as many other Chromebooks. However, if you’re going to use your laptop for gaming or other more processor-intensive tasks, this is probably not the best model for you.
|Series||HP Pavilion Gaming|
|Specific Uses For Product||Personal, Gaming|
|Screen Size||15.6 Inches|
|Operating System||Windows 10|
|Human Interface Input||Microphone, Keyboard, Keypad, Numeric Keypad|
|Hard Disk Size||1 TB|
The HP Pavilion Gaming 15.6-Inch Micro-EDGE Laptop, Intel Core i5-9300H Processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 (4 GB), 8 GB SDRAM, 256 GB SSD, Windows 10 Home (15-dk0020nr, Shadow Black/Acid Green) combines the functionality of a productivity laptop with the benefits of a full gaming machine and is an excellent choice for anyone who’s grabbed by their gamer instincts on occasion but doesn’t want to drop thousands on a dedicated gaming rig.
The first thing you’ll notice about this computer once you’ve opened the box and started it up is that it’s sleek and attractive. With its dual external fans visible from the back and stylish screen trim around the keyboard and touchpad area, it has a look of sophistication while still projecting its gamer bona fides with ease. The micro edge bezel gives you an immersive feel as well—the IPS display measured at 15.6 inches diagonally offers just enough real estate to give you that feeling without being too big or cumbersome to take anywhere with you comfortably.
Micro-edge bezel display.
This computer’s micro-edge display elevates your viewing experience, giving you the feeling of working on a larger screen. The laptop’s 15.6″ Full HD IPS anti-glare WLED-backlit display is designed to make the most out of its 39.6cm diagonal size by minimizing the bezel. A micro-edge bezel is thinner than other displays, making it a good choice for multitasking: you can have multiple windows open at once and still enjoy comfortable viewing thanks to an area of 2,304 by 1,440 pixels. With up to 700 nits brightness and 72% NTSC color gamut, this high definition screen delivers sharp details even in bright light. What’s more, HP Wide Vision HD camera with integrated dual array digital microphone will help you feel closer to friends with video chats; and with 16GB DDR4 memory, your PC will efficiently handle bandwidth-heavy loads such as video editing and graphic design projects.
A fast processor is vital to a gaming laptop. The 9th Generation Intel Core i5-9300H is an excellent processor that can support both gaming and productivity. It can reach speeds of up to 4.1GHz, which gives you the processing power you need for programs and games. This model also has the capacity to handle multiple tasks at once and provides optimal speeds for everything you want it to do.
A high-definition display refers to a laptop with a high resolution. If you’re an avid gamer, then you’ll want this feature to make sure your game images look as sharp and detailed as possible. The higher the resolution, or number of pixels on the screen, the higher quality your images will look. A laptop with a higher-resolution display will also offer less strain on your eyes than one with lower resolution. This is because when there are fewer pixels, each pixel is larger and appears separated from each other. This makes it harder for your eyes to focus on them individually, which can lead to eye fatigue over time.
HP Audio Boost 2.0 and built-in dual speakers
HP Audio Boost 2.0 and built-in dual speakers are some of the highlights of this laptop. The sound quality is decent enough to make gaming immersive, which is important for a good gaming experience. The HP Audio Boost 2.0 and built-in dual speakers are a good choice for an immersive gaming experience if you want to hear your favorite games with crisp quality.
How is the graphics quality?
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 card is an entry-level graphics card from Nvidia. The 1650 does not have a dedicated memory, so it uses the system’s RAM to perform its tasks.
It has 4GB GDDR5 memory, which is enough for gaming. The GTX 1650 can play games in 1080p with high settings comfortably. You can even do some light gaming at 1440p, but don’t expect to run modern games at that resolution with this card.
This laptop has an IPS display, which means it will look good when you are enjoying your favorite game or watching multimedia content.
Dual storage design.
The dual storage design of this laptop allows you to play games without worrying about running out of space. The 256 GB SSD delivers the speed you need, while the 1 TB HDD stores your games and media files.
SSD: 256 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD
HDD: 1 TB 5400 rpm SATA
This laptop is a great option for someone looking to play games on a budget.
You’ll be able to play most games on this laptop. The graphics are very good with the FHD display and you shouldn’t have any issues with lag. You can multitask easily and quickly, making it a great option for students. It’s also good for internet browsing, streaming, video calls, video conferencing, video editing and photo editing.

- 512GB M.2 NVMe SSD
- 17.0″ WQXGA (2560 x 1600) IPS LCD screen
- 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1
Max Screen Resolution: 2560×1600 pixels
The 17-inch screen is probably the most striking feature of the laptop. At a max resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, the display is extremely high quality and delivers crystal clear images. You’ll have no trouble working with multiple windows and apps at once, or watching your favorite movies in stunning detail. The screen itself is large, bright and anti-glare, meaning you can use it anywhere from your office to a sunny beach without risk of eye strain or discomfort. It’s also touch screen, which expands its usability for gaming and other interactive uses such as graphic design software. Most importantly: it does not feel heavy or bulky like some laptops with similarly sized screens do, meaning that whether you’re gaming on the go or giving a presentation in front of 50 colleagues who are all looking at your computer screen, the LG gram makes you look like a professional who knows what they’re doing—no matter where you are!
Processor: 1.8 GHz Intel Core i7
The processor is the brain of your computer, and that’s why it’s important to pay attention to what kind of processor you have. The type of processor you have plays a large part in how quickly your laptop runs its programs and performs various tasks. For example, if you notice that your laptop is slowing down when multiple things are running on it at once, it likely means that you need a new processor.
If you’re looking for an Intel Core i7-8565U laptop, stop searching! This LG gram laptop comes with an 8th generation Quad-Core Intel Core i7-8565U processor (1.8 GHz – 4.6 GHz) coupled with 8 GB RAM and 16 GB Optane Memory for better performance. With this combination, there will be no lag between running multiple programs. You can easily run two or even three applications at once without noticing any slowdown! Moreover, this laptop can handle heavy games like Fortnite and Minecraft because they require more RAM than other apps/games do…
RAM: 16 GB DDR4 SDRAM
- RAM: 16 GB DDR4 SDRAM
- RAM Type: DDR4 SDRAM
- RAM Speed: 2400 MHz
- Number of USB 2.0 Ports: 2
- Number of USB 3.0 Ports: 3
- Number of HDMI Ports: 1
Memory Speed: 24 GHz
The LG gram Thin and Light Laptop – 17″ has a memory speed of 24 GHz, which is a very good speed. In fact, it is a very good value for the price. The speed of 24 GHz is fast, so you will enjoy the high-quality performance that comes with this excellent laptop.
Hard Drive: 512 GB Flash Memory Solid State
The LG gram Thin and Light Laptop – 17″ is a solid option for those looking for a laptop with great battery life, a large hard drive, and light weight. The hard drive is 512GB of flash memory solid state, meaning it’s solid-state but not the fastest type of SSD on the market. Given the price point of this laptop, that makes sense. The speed here will be more than enough unless you’re running intensive tasks multiple at once on a regular basis. If you are doing that kind of work on your laptop (e.g., running some custom code in Python while also watching YouTube videos), then clearly nothing will stop you from getting the most expensive laptop out there with top specs—but that’s not you! You’re just reading this because you want to know if it’ll run Photoshop or something, right? Well yes, it can do all that without breaking a sweat!
This is true even if your lightweight needs are somewhat heavy. You don’t need to go around using multiple applications simultaneously very often—perhaps just when writing an article about how many applications can be used simultaneously—and yet still need something powerful and portable? This laptop can handle all your basic computing needs like checking emails and surfing the web as well as helping with more advanced hobbies like photography editing or videography projects. This computer comes equipped with Intel HD Graphics 620 integrated graphics card so no matter what kind of work (or play!) activities you have planned ahead for yourself now or later down the line; this machine will definitely keep up with them!
Graphics Coprocessor Intel UHD Graphics 620
The LG gram falls somewhere in between consumer laptops, which are built for multitasking and entertainment, and workstations, which are optimized for running the most demanding applications. This laptop has a decent-sized hard drive (1 TB), but an average amount of memory (16 GB). If you’re using creative software like Photoshop or Premiere Pro, it will be better to invest in a computer with 32 GB of memory. The LG gram has 16 GB of memory.
You’ll be able to run some games on this laptop’s graphics processor, but if you’re serious about gaming you should get a computer with dedicated graphics hardware.

A chipset on the motherboard determines a lot of the capabilities of the motherboard itself. The chipset controls communications between internal hardware components and determines how fast they can communicate with each other. A modern integrated chipset consists of two parts, a northbridge, and a southbridge. Each component serves a different function. The northbridge is responsible for communicating to the CPU and high-speed devices like RAM, while the southbridge is responsible for everything else including low-speed peripherals such as USB ports, audio interfaces, hard drives etc. Chipsets are designed to work with one or more families of microprocessors but are not restricted to them and can work with any compatible processor in the same family (i.e., an Intel Pentium 4 processor uses an Intel 845G chipset).

pro and cons of LG gram Thin and Light Laptop – 17″
The major pros of the LG gram Thin and Light Laptop – 17″ are that it is very light, well built, fast, has a large screen, good battery life, Windows 10, solid state drive(s), stays cool, and the price.
The major cons of the LG gram Thin and Light Laptop – 17″ are that it has no optical disk drive option.
This laptop is light and fast, with a large screen.
It’s clear that this laptop is lightweight and fast, but it also has a large screen. The best part is the fact that you can carry it around all day without your wrists hurting because the computer is so light. The IPS screen is 17 inches and has a decent resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. It’s not as good as Apple’s Retina displays, but for something that only weighs about 2.95 pounds, it does the trick.
One drawback of this laptop is that its keyboard isn’t backlit. That makes typing a little more difficult when you’re in dim lighting conditions or outside at night. The touchpad also takes some getting used to because there are no separate buttons for left-clicking and right-clicking — everything is done with finger gestures on the touchpad itself. These are minor gripes though considering how well this laptop performs other tasks such as battery life (amazing), boot time (extremely fast), and price (high, but worth it).
Drwabacks of LG gram Thin and Light Laptop – 17″
That being said, the display is not a touch screen. If that’s important to you, then it’s probably not the right laptop for you. The battery also isn’t as long-lasting as some other ultraportables, but it certainly isn’t bad — I’ve played movies from my USB flash drive on it for at least six hours without recharging. Finally, though the keys have a good amount of travel and feel nice to type on, the trackpad does leave something to be desired. It’s usable, but it could be better — maybe even a little bigger?

B&O Audio is a great sound system. The built in speakers in this laptop are really good and the sound quality is amazing. pro and cons of Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop, 15.6″
Things to consider when buying the Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop, 15.6″:
- Your budget for a gaming laptop. If you want a high-end gaming laptop, this is not it. But if you want something that can run games on medium settings and handle every day needs, it’s a great deal at $799.99
- Your plans for use. If you are looking to play all of the latest games at high settings and have the ability to upgrade later on, this isn’t it either. But if you are like me and just want something that can get the job done now and be fine with lower graphics later on, this is a great deal.”

Apple MacBook Pro Professional Laptop, 16.0 Inches,
The new Apple MacBook Pro is the ultimate pro notebook. It combines a brilliant Retina display with the latest 8th Gen Intel Core i7 or i9 processors and faster SSD storage to make it two times faster than before. The Touch Bar and Touch ID give you quick access to your most important features while True Tone automatically adjusts the color of your display to match ambient lighting for a more comfortable viewing experience.
9th Generation 8-Core Intel Core i9 Processor
The 16GB of onboard memory allows you to run a large number of programs simultaneously, as well as quickly access data stored in memory.
The Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655 and UHD Graphics 630 are both integrated graphics processors that provide increased performance over previous generations.
Brilliant Retina Display with True Tone technology
Apple’s True Tone technology is really cool and can help you prevent eyestrain. The technology automatically adjusts the color temperature of the display to match that of ambient light, making your screen look more natural and reducing eye strain.
The display also supports P3 wide color gamut, which allows it to reproduce more colors than sRGB standard displays. This means that images will be more vibrant on your MacBook Pro than they would be on a normal laptop screen.
While this sounds great, there are some cons to True Tone: because it uses sensors to measure surrounding light conditions, you’ll need an internet connection for it to work properly (or have access to another computer).
Touch Bar and Touch ID
The Touch Bar was introduced in the 2016 MacBook Pro. It’s a thin OLED touch screen that sits above the keyboard and replaces the function keys on traditional models, giving users quick access to apps, functions, and commands. The Touch ID works just like it does on your phone: simply touch your finger to the button built into this bar to unlock your laptop or make purchases online.
Radeon Pro 5500M Graphics with GDDR6 memory
The Radeon Pro 5500M graphics offers up to 8GB of GDDR6 memory, a 7nm mobile discrete GPU, and hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling for more efficient power management. The Radeon Pro 5500M is built on AMD’s second generation Polaris architecture and is the perfect choice for creative professionals who need desktop-class performance from their laptop. It can deliver up to 2.6 TFLOPS of single precision compute power or 1.8 TFLOPS of double-precision compute power (FP64).
You’ve never seen a laptop like this. It’s powered by an Intel Core i7 processor, which gives you plenty of power on demand. And its 16GB of memory for running pro apps means it can handle even the most demanding tasks with ease—plus, you get 1TB of storage for more work files and projects.
The MacBook Pro also features 6GB GDDR6 VRAM that renders 3D graphics, edits 8K video and plays games with ultra smooth frame rates.
Intel UHD Graphics 630
The Intel UHD Graphics 630 (GT2) is an integrated graphics card, which can be found in various desktop and notebook processors of the Coffee-Lake generation. The UHD 630 is the iGPU of the i9-9900K.
Six-speaker system with force-cancelling woofers
Apple’s latest MacBook Pro comes with a six-speaker system with force-cancelling woofers. This means that you’ll get a rich sound experience no matter what you’re doing, whether it’s watching a movie or listening to music. The speakers are also optimized for studio quality three-mic array for natural sounding vocals, and support for Dolby Atmos playback for up to 32 channels of audio. Additionally, there’s an all-day battery life plus up to 11 hours of wireless web.
Four Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports
If you’re a professional, the Mac Pro is built for you. With powerful performance, an immersive 16″ Retina display, a new Magic Keyboard and massive storage add up to the ultimate notebook for pros.

Force Touch trackpad Backlit Keyboard – US English
With the Force Touch trackpad, you can perform a right-click simply by pressing down on the trackpad. The haptic feedback provides a click sensation when you use the Force Touch trackpad, even though it doesn’t move. The new keyboard design is quieter than previous models and offers an improved key shape that makes typing more comfortable.
pro and cons of Apple MacBook Pro Professional Laptop, 16.0 Inches,
- Some people find the screen too bright, while others find it to be dim.
- Some people find the touch bar confusing, while others think that it’s a great feature.
- Some people are not happy with the price, but others feel that it’s worth it for what you get.
- Some people are not happy with the battery life, but others say that they have no problems at all and can use this laptop for hours on end without having to recharge or plug it in.
- Some people feel that their keyboards are too loud when typing, while others don’t mind at all and say that this isn’t an issue for them at all.
Powerful performance, an immersive 16″ Retina display, a new Magic Keyboard, and massive storage add up to the ultimate notebook for pros.
The MacBook Pro with Touch Bar and a 15.4″ Retina display has the power and performance to do more than ever. The 8th generation 6-core Intel Core i7 processor is up to 70% faster, delivering dramatically quicker responsiveness and performance for a multitude of tasks. And with Turbo Boost speeds up to 4.8GHz, it turns even single-threaded workloads into jaw-dropping experiences.
With an 800MHz graphics processor, you can edit video or render 3D images. The new Magic Keyboard features a redesigned top case that makes typing quieter and more comfortable than ever before. And Touch Bar lets you use Multi‑Touch gestures to control your Mac quickly & easily right from the keyboard itself using built-in sensors that detect force (hard press) or proximity (tap).

The MacBook Pro offers a lot of power, but it’s not without its drawbacks.
- No ports: The lack of ports is a major drawback for the MacBook Pro. As an ultraportable laptop, it only has two USB-C ports and no other physical connections (including Ethernet) — which means you’ll need to buy adapters or docks if you want to connect things like a monitor, mouse or keyboard. Apple also sells adapters that let users charge their iPhone from the laptop itself — which could be useful for business travelers who don’t have easy access to outlets.

The Dell XPS 13 9380 is a popular laptop that has been updated for 2019. This version of the laptop offers Intel’s latest 8th generation processors, meaning it will be more powerful and efficient than previous models.
- The display is much brighter than other laptops at this price point. It’s an IPS panel with 1080p resolution, which means you’ll get better viewing angles and color accuracy compared to a TN panel on cheaper laptops in this category.
- The keyboard is backlit and includes a fingerprint scanner for security when logging into Windows 10.
- You can’t upgrade the RAM or storage after purchase (it comes with 8GB/256GB). You’ll have to buy another model if you need more memory or storage later on—or just buy another one now if you think there’s no way your needs won’t change over time!

8th Generation Intel® Core™ i5-8265U Processor (1.6 GHz base frequency, up to 3.9 GHz with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology, 6 MB cache, 4 cores)
The Dell XPS 13 9380 features the 8th Gen Intel Core i5 processor which is a quad-core processor with four threads that can boost up to 3.9GHz when needed.
This is the same processor found in many of the best gaming laptops on the market today and performs extremely well for general use too including video editing and photo editing tasks as well as 1080p gaming when paired with an Nvidia GeForce MX150 graphics card
Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620 with shared graphics memory
The graphics card on the XPS 13 9380 has dedicated memory. It means that the graphics card is not shared with any other component. This allows for more performance and stability when gaming, but later in this guide we’ll take a look at what that means for you as an average user.
13.3-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) InfinityEdge Display
The 13.3-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) InfinityEdge display features a WLED backlight with IPS technology, anti-reflective coating, 400 nits brightness and 16:9 aspect ratio. The screen is touch enabled with 178° viewing angles.
256GB M.2 PCIe NVMe Solid State Drive
If you’re looking to store all your files on your laptop, you’ll want to make sure that the storage capacity is sufficient. The 256GB M.2 PCIe NVMe Solid State Drive in this model is plenty of space for most users, but if you have a lot of photos or music, or if you use a lot of programs that require a lot of storage space (such as video editing software), then upgrading to the 512GB version may be worthwhile. Or if neither of those options are right for your needs, consider using cloud storage instead so that all your files are accessible from any device with internet connectivity.

pro and cons of New 2019 DELL XPS 13 9380 Core i5
- great build quality
- premium feel, lightweight body and nice design
- excellent keyboard, with backlit keys and a white LED light bar across the top of the keyboard. It’s also very comfortable to use, with good travel and feedback that’s not too loud. The trackpad has a good surface texture and it supports gestures like two-finger scrolling, three-finger swiping for tab management in Windows 10, four finger swipe to open task view etc.. It works very well in most cases. And it supports all kinds of gesture commands such as pinch zoom or rotate, flick down/up for show desktop/start menu etc.. But sometimes when you are typing on your laptop quickly ,you may accidentally hit one of these buttons instead of hitting space bar which makes annoying mistake happen in your typing process so you might want to turn off these extra feature by going into settings – PC Settings – Devices -> Mouse & touchpad -> Enhanced pointer precision
drwabacks of New 2019 DELL XPS 13 9380 Core i5
- The display is a large 13.3” QHD+ model, with a resolution of 3200 x 1800 and 400 nits brightness. It supports touchscreen input, has an anti-glare coating on top of it, has great viewing angles, and gets very bright when you need to use it in sunlight or other high ambient light situations.
- The keyboard is backlit, which is always nice for typing in low light conditions. There are also three distinct areas for key travel that are separated by gaps in the chassis (so it doesn’t feel like you’re smashing your hands into one continuous surface). This makes typing feel more comfortable than most laptops do—and as someone who types long hours every day I appreciate this!

The Microsoft Surface Pro 7 is a 12.3-inch 2-in-1 laptop that can be used as a tablet or laptop, with an optional stylus. If you know anything about the Surface Pro 6, this new device won’t be much of a surprise to you. The only change here is the addition of Intel’s 10th generation Ice Lake processors, which offer a modest performance boost over the last version. Despite that and some other small changes on the inside, at first glance the Surface Pro 7 looks exactly like its predecessor in every way except for one detail: it has no USB-C port, no Thunderbolt 3 port, no microSD card slot, no fingerprint sensor, and no 4G LTE option.
And even though there are several laptops out there with USB 4.0 ports (and even though it would have been easy to add one here), this thing doesn’t have any either! As such, it’s not hard to see how this could be viewed as disappointing to many people—especially because Microsoft has long pushed the Surface Pro as an excellent road warrior machine.
The Surface Pro 7 is the most powerful Surface laptop yet, with an Intel 10th Gen Core processor and up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage.
If you want a less powerful but still solid option, the i5-1035G4 model is $899. It has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD storage. Or if you want to go in the other direction, this machine can pack up to an Intel Core i7-1065G7 with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage.
It is a 2-in-1 that lets you use it as a tablet (with optional pen) or a laptop (with optional keyboard).
The Surface Pro 7 is a 2-in-1 that lets you use it as a tablet (with optional pen) or a laptop (with optional keyboard). In Tablet Mode, the screen is like any other tablet. You can do virtually anything you’d do on an iPad with your finger, but some things are easier with a stylus (the altnerative name for the Surface Pen). In Laptop Mode, well, you’ve seen laptops before. It’s the same thing. In Studio Mode, you stand up the kickstand on the rear of the device and put it in landscape orientation. The keyboard folds over to cover up part of the display. This is good for drawing apps like OneNote and Sketchable that can handle an input device that covers part of your work area.
In View Mode, you tilt back the kickstand so that it’s nearly vertical and put it in portrait orientation. This is perfect for reading content like ebooks or articles online; it feels more natural than swiping around text on a screen (it’s also better than printing out all those pages).
The 12.3-inch display has one major change from previous models, which is the option for USB-C.
The Surface Pro 7’s 12.3-inch display is the same size and resolution as it was on the Pro 6, with a 3:2 aspect ratio that makes it better for reading and web pages than 16:9 displays. It’s bright and colourful, with excellent viewing angles.
Microsoft’s excellent pressure-sensitive pen is sold separately, but if you want to take notes or sketch on your Surface Pro 7, it’s well worth the investment.
The USB-C port can be used to connect that cable for charging, but you can also send data, video and audio using the new port.
You can use the USB-C port on the Pro 7 for charging. But you can also send data, video and audio using this new port.
As a quick recap of what USB-C is all about: It’s a new type of USB (universal serial bus) connector that delivers power, data and video to and from devices like laptops, phones chargers and accessories. The USB-C is used by many laptop makers including Apple, which uses it on its MacBook laptops. It’s also used by Samsung on its phone products.
The cool thing about the reversible connector — which is a bit smaller than previous generations of “full-size” USB ports — is that you don’t need to worry about plugging it in the wrong way since there isn’t an upside down direction for the plug.
With the new 10th Gen Intel processors, the Surface Pro 7 has a huge jump in power over its predecessors.
The Surface Pro 7 is the first Microsoft 2-in-1 to get Intel’s new 10th Gen processors. This means plenty of power and performance improvements over the previous version as well as a significant increase in battery life.
You can choose between an Intel Core i3, i5 or i7. In our review, we tested the mid-range model with a Core i5 processor. It features four cores (the Core i3 has two cores and the Core m3 two cores with HyperThreading) which will let you do more at once without any issues. The entry level processor is still powerful enough for everyday tasks like browsing the web, watching videos and writing reports, while the more powerful models let you do even more demanding tasks like editing HD videos or playing some games at medium settings.
The biggest improvement over last year’s model is that now all models are fanless, meaning they run silent even under heavy use. That’s because both the higher end processors feature lower TDP (thermal design power), which makes them more energy efficient so they don’t generate as much heat when performing tasks.
Pros and Cons of Microsoft Surface Pro 7
- Thick bezels
- No SD card slot
- No USB-A port
- No Thunderbolt 3
- No built-in LTE
- No fingerprint sensor or facial recognition for biometric security (although you can use Windows Hello with the 1MP front webcam)
- Limited configuration options, including display and storage size, RAM, and processor speed. (Upgrade options are available at Best Buy.)
The Microsoft Surface Pro 7 comes with a 12.3-inch PixelSense touch screen display with 2736 x 1824 resolution. The tablet has a 10th generation Intel Core i3 dual core processor, which runs at 1.1GHz base frequency and boosts up to 3.4GHz. It also features 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage space for your files, pictures, videos and apps—it’s even expandable via the integrated microSD card reader!
Drawbacks of Microsoft Surface Pro 7
- The biggest drawback of the Surface Pro 7 is its relatively modest performance. The tablet is using Intel UHD graphics, which is not great for gaming or video editing. The base model of the tablet comes with an Intel Core i3 processor and 4GB RAM, which we would consider underpowered compared to other tablets in this category. You should plan on spending extra for a model with at least 8GB of RAM if you want to multitask as much as possible.
