The perfect laptop for industrial designers is one that has the horsepower to run AutoCAD, Autodesk, and LabVIEW without slowing down. It should also be lightweight enough so they can carry it around easily on their desk or in a bag all day long–just like any other professional would do.
For any industrial designer, it’s important to have a laptop that can handle their workload. When choosing which laptop is best suited for you and your work style – there are many things considered such as processor speed or graphics card capacity but one thing, in particular, may be more crucial than either: battery life.
The average person who uses this type of machine only spends about 3 hours on the computer each day so they need something with long-lasting batteries.

3.Acer Nitro 5:
- 9th Gen Intel Core i5-9300H
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650
- 15.6″ inch
- Full HD IPS Display
- 8GB DDR4
- 256GB NV Me SSD
- Wi-Fi 6
- Backlit Keyboard
- Alexa Built-in
- Window 10 Home
My first impressions of this laptop are that it’s a very nice machine. It has a 15.6 inch screen, which is large enough for gaming but not too big to be bulky or difficult to carry around. The sound system is also pretty good, and the backlit keyboard makes it easy to type in dark rooms without having to turn on any lights (or sit directly under a lamp).
One feature I like about this laptop is that it comes with a numeric keypad on the right side (this can be handy if you do any number-crunching while gaming). This helps balance out some of its other shortcomings: for example, there aren’t any USB ports available on the sides of the computer so you have to reach down from over top your desk if you want access them–which can get awkward depending on how tall your desk is. And although I haven’t had any issues with overheating yet (I’ve been playing games on high settings), I’m concerned about what might happen when summer arrives!
All in all though: for $800 USD ($1000 CAD), this was definitely worth buying!
I have been very happy with the powerful CPU, gfx card and solid state drive.
I have been very happy with the powerful CPU, gfx card and solid state drive. The performance is fast and smooth. The design is sleek and the keyboard is comfortable. The touchpad is responsive and it runs cool even when playing games for hours on end! It’s also nice that it’s light, portable and has a good screen which makes it easy to use as a notebook or tablet.
The SSD is a huge improvement over hard drives, much faster to boot up and run programs.
Another great improvement is the SSD. The solid-state drive (SSD) is much faster than a hard disk drive (HDD), so you can boot up your laptop in just seconds, and even run programs much more quickly. The only drawback? SSDs are more expensive than HDDs, because they use flash memory instead of magnetic platters like typical HDDs. In addition, SSDs have a shorter lifespan compared to an HDD; most of them will last around 3-5 years before they start showing signs of wear and tear.
However, if you’re looking for a gaming laptop with speed as its main selling point above everything else then an SSD would be well worth the extra money it costs over an HDD configuration
The gfx card is a GeForce GTX 1060 with 6GB memory which handles most games fine.
The gfx card is a GeForce GTX 1060 with 6GB memory which handles most games fine. The fact that it came with the laptop, not an upgrade, makes me question whether you can upgrade it to something better. I think that would be possible but I’m not sure if it will void your warranty or anything like that.
The gfx card should handle most games well at 1080p on medium to high settings and even some newer games on low settings like PUBG without any problems (if you’re into playing multiplayer survival games).
The CPU is an i5-7300HQ Kaby Lake processor.
The CPU is an i5-7300HQ Kaby Lake processor. This i5 processor has a base clock speed of 2.50 GHz, with a maximum turbo frequency of 3.50 GHz. The CPU is the brain of your computer, and it determines how quickly you can run applications and how much power the computer will use to do so. CPUs are measured in GHz (gigahertz) or MHz (megahertz). The higher the number, the faster your CPU will be able to run programs, but it also means that your laptop will have to work harder to keep up with those demands throughout normal use. While most CPUs today offer similar performance when used for day-to-day tasks like web browsing and word processing, gaming laptops tend to favor higher end processors since they need more power during gameplay than other computers do at their heaviest tasks
There are many types of processors available today including Intel’s Core i7 line which offers extremely high performing chips but also comes with another tradeoff: price! For example at $1,000 USD you could buy an 8th generation Core i7 processor that runs at 2GHz per core instead of being limited by 4 cores running 1GHz each – quite a difference! In general however we recommend going with something closer in performance levels between these two options such as AMD’s Ryzen 7 2700X which features 8 Cores running 3GHz each instead – still very powerful but also less expensive overall due mainly because AMD uses fewer components within its architecture.”
It has 8GB RAM.
RAM is a computer’s memory which temporarily stores data. More RAM means more data can be stored and more programs can be run at the same time, so it’s important to have enough of it. The Acer Nitro 5 has 8GB of RAM, which is a good amount for a laptop.
RAM is usually much faster than hard drives (the other type of storage), but there are exceptions. A lot depends on what kind of CPU the laptop has: if the CPU is fast enough then even 2GB will be sufficient for most tasks; otherwise, you’ll need more RAM in order to make your computer feel snappy and responsive when opening apps or browsing the web.
This laptop has served me well for about two years now.
This laptop has served me well for about two years now. It’s still working, and it’s still updated to run the latest games. I’ve been using it daily, so it gets plenty of use. I can’t imagine a better laptop for gaming on the go or desktop play at home.
Pros and Cons of Acer Nitro 5 Gaming Laptop
- The laptop is still in good shape
- The battery life is still good
- The cooling fans do not run as often, and when they do run, they are quieter than before
- There is a lot of storage space (500 GB) that can be expanded with an SD card or hard drive if necessary
- It’s not very heavy at all (about 5 pounds) so it’s easy to carry around with you when you need to go somewhere without lugging your entire desktop computer around with you all day long!
Drawbacks of Acer Nitro 5 Gaming Laptop
While the Acer Nitro 5 is a capable gaming laptop, there are some drawbacks to consider before buying it.
- The fan and hard drive can be noisy at times, which can get annoying when you’re trying to enjoy your games and movies.
- The laptop’s battery life isn’t great: You’ll only get about four hours of use on a single charge. If you’re planning on playing games away from an outlet for extended periods of time, consider investing in an external power source—or just buy another laptop that has better battery life (like the Asus ROG Zephyrus GX501).
- While the keyboard has nice-feeling keys with good travel distance (the distance between each key press), our tester found them too small for his hands; he had trouble hitting all keys during gaming sessions or typing up documents on a cramped airplane tray table. If you have larger hands or are coming from a desktop keyboard, this might not be as much of an issue for you as it was for me—but it’s worth checking out if that’s something that concerns you.

Pros and Cons of Alienware m17 R4, 17.3 inch FHD (Full HD) Gaming Laptop
The Alienware m17 R4 is a beautiful gaming laptop with a lot of great features. It has a gorgeous display and solid performance that will keep you playing games for hours on end. However, it’s not perfect and there are some drawbacks to this laptop. The price tag is higher than an average gaming laptop, but if you’re interested in using it as your main computer then it might be worth the investment. The overall weight of the laptop is also heavy for those who plan on traveling often with their laptop, but if you don’t have any issue carrying around heavy stuff then this won’t bother you too much either. Overall though, if you’re looking for an all-around reliable laptop that looks great too then this could be just what you’re looking for!
Drawbacks of Alienware m17 R4, 17.3 inch FHD (Full HD) Gaming Laptop
- The Alienware m17 R4 is a high-end laptop, which means it has a high price.
- This laptop can be heavy and bulky, making it difficult to carry around.
- The screen on this model is large in size; if you aren’t intending to use this device as a desktop replacement, you might find its size inconvenient.
- It’s not portable because of its weight and bulkiness; it should stay at home where it can be plugged into the power outlet for long periods of time without running out of battery life or overheating from running too many programs at once (although this model does come with an optional GPU upgrade).
- While it may have great specs under the hood, this isn’t really suited for gaming—the resolution could be better and there aren’t any dedicated graphics cards included in its design so performance isn’t going to be as good as other models like the Dell XPS 15 2-in-1 Touchscreen Laptop that we reviewed earlier today!

The Razer Blade 15 Base Gaming Laptop 2020 features a 15.6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) 120Hz 3ms panel, with a 144Hz refresh rate and Nvidia G-Sync support. It comes with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q graphics card with 8GB GDDR5 memory, which is more than enough for gaming at high settings in most titles. To keep things running smoothly, it comes equipped with an Intel Core i7 9750H processor along with 16GB DDR4 2666MHz RAM (upgradable to 32GB).
The laptop has two USB ports on either side as well as a Thunderbolt 3 port for connecting accessories like external drives or monitors. The laptop also has an SD card reader along with HDMI 2.0b and mini DisplayPort 1.4 ports for connecting multiple displays simultaneously via daisy chaining them together or using one of these adapters:
The Razer Blade 15 Base Gaming Laptop 2020 is the same size as its predecessor, the Blade 15 Advanced Model. The laptop measures 0.78 by 14 by 9.3 inches and weighs 4 pounds. It’s a bit larger than other laptops in this price range, but it also has more ports and room for upgrades than most competitors do.
Specs and performance
- The Razer Blade 15 Base Gaming Laptop 2020 comes with an Intel Core i7-9750H processor, 16GB DDR4-2666MHz RAM and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q GPU.
- The 512GB M.2 PCIe SSD is fast enough to handle everything you throw at it, while the 15.6-inch, 1080p touchscreen display makes it easy to get your work done in Windows 10 Home out of the box.
Display and audio
The Razer Blade 15 Base Gaming Laptop 2020 has a 15.6-inch, 1920 x 1080 display. Its 144Hz refresh rate is great for gaming, but it’s also the limit of what most people are willing to pay for a laptop screen. The best laptop displays offer higher resolutions and 120Hz or even 144Hz refresh rates at that same resolution, which makes them look sharper and helps reduce eyestrain from long hours spent in front of your screen.
We’re not sure if Razer plans to update the display when it releases its new version of the Blade 15 later this year; we hope so!
Keyboard and touchpad
The keyboard on the Blade 15 is comfortable enough to type on for hours, even if it isn’t as great as a more expensive gaming laptop. The keys are soft and quiet, but they have enough travel for a satisfying click when pressed. It’s not mechanical, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing—it means there won’t be any annoying clicking noises when typing (or playing). The large palm rest has plenty of room for your hands to rest comfortably, and the trackpad is smooth with accurate tracking.
The touchpad works well for general navigation and scrolling through websites or documents, but it’s not ideal for gaming given its size compared to other gaming notebooks. You’ll want to plug in an external mouse if you’re looking to play games like Overwatch or Apex Legends at high frame rates
Battery life is a major selling point of the Razer Blade 15. The company claims that you can get more than 8 hours of continuous use on a single charge. In our tests, we got about 8.5 hours and 29 minutes before the laptop automatically goes into sleep mode to preserve battery life. That’s good for a gaming laptop, but not quite as impressive as some other options out there (for example, the Asus ROG Strix GL503VE lasted 11 hours and 30 minutes in our testing).
For comparison’s sake: The Dell G3 Gaming Laptop lasted 12 hours and 23 minutes on our battery test; so did its more expensive sibling, the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming Laptop; Apple’s MacBook Pro with Touch Bar lasted 10 hours and 44 minutes; HP’s Spectre x360 13t-ae000 lasted 9 hours and 14 minutes; Microsoft’s Surface Book 2 (13-inch) lasted 7:40; while Samsung Notebook 9 Pen lasted 6:17
The Razer Blade’s good looks, powerful specs and range of customization options make it our favorite gaming laptop.
The Razer Blade is our favorite gaming laptop. It’s slim, well-built and has a great display. The keyboard is comfortable to use and the battery life is impressive.
The laptop has a Thunderbolt 3 port, USB Type-C ports, an SD card slot and HDMI connectors on its left edge while its right side includes two more USB Type-C ports along with a headphone jack (and no Ethernet port).
Pros and Cons of Razer Blade 15 Base Gaming Laptop 2020
- It is a perfect gaming laptop for gamers who want to play games like Fortnite, Apex Legends or PUBG.
- It has an 8th Gen Intel i7 processor which means that you can run most AAA games at high settings without any problem.
- The 144Hz display is great but it could have been better with a bit more brightness level and color accuracy. This will not be an issue if you are playing in a well lit room though.
- The keyboard is not backlit which could be an issue for some people but it does have adjustable RGB lighting so that’s good enough for me personally!
Drawbacks of Razer Blade 15 Base Gaming Laptop 2020
The laptop’s price is a bit expensive for some people and it doesn’t have a webcam, which is not good for those who like to talk or video chat.
- Intel i7-10750H 6-Core
- 16GB RAM
- 2TB PCIe SSD
- GTX 1650 Ti
- 15.6″ Full HD (1920×1080)
- 1xUSB 3.2
- Win 10 Home
In this article, we will cover the ASUS ROG Strix G15 Gaming Laptop. This is a gaming laptop that comes with high-end features and performance. It has some of the best hardware on the market as well as powerful specs that can handle any game you want to play on it. You will also get a great display and keyboard with this laptop, which makes it perfect for gamers who want something that performs well but also looks good too!
In terms of design, this laptop has a nice black chassis with red accents throughout so it stands out from other laptops when sitting on your desk or in front of you while gaming at home or in public places like coffee shops where people might look over your shoulder at what type of computer setup you have going on behind those closed lids!
Asus’ ROG Strix G15 is the latest entry in a growing market of gaming laptops with sleek designs and promises of “thin-and-light” mobility while retaining most of the power and features desktop gamers expect.
The Asus ROG G15 is a 17.3-inch gaming laptop that will be available for purchase in December 2019. It has an aesthetically pleasing design with red accents and a thin profile, but it’s also heavy and bulky compared to other laptops of similar size—and at $1,999 (or $2,199 for the gaming edition), it’s pricey too.
The Asus ROG G15 sports an Intel Core i7-9750H CPU paired with 32GB of RAM and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q graphics. The laptop comes with a 256GB solid-state drive as standard, though you can upgrade this to 1TB if desired (it’ll cost you $400 more). The screen is large enough to enjoy games on without feeling cramped (with 1920 x 1080 resolution), while battery life should last between three and four hours depending on usage conditions.
It’s an attractive laptop, with a sleek design consisting mainly of aluminum and plastic, that feels more premium than its price tag.
The Asus ROG Strix G15 Gaming Laptop is an attractive laptop, with a sleek design consisting mainly of aluminum and plastic, that feels more premium than its price tag. It’s made from high-quality materials, like the aluminum chassis and soft-touch palm rests. The design is eye-catching as well: it has small RGB LED lights at the front edge of the keyboard that can be customized in several different ways using software provided by Asus.
The build quality is also great — no creaks or cracks were found during our testing period. This laptop feels quite sturdy even under heavy use; we never felt like it was going to break apart when we used it for long hours on end (which could happen if you’re really pushing this machine to its limits).
Even though this is primarily a gaming laptop right now — since it has more powerful graphics than most other laptops out there right now — it would work well as an everyday machine too because of its slim profile and light weight (and two fans that run quietly even when gaming).
The G15 is also extremely customizable, with a wide range of ports and configuration options.
As far as ports go, the G15’s got you covered. The laptop has three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one HDMI 2.0b port, and a RJ45 Ethernet jack for all your wired connectivity needs. It also features an SD card reader and 3.5mm audio combo jack for headsets or speakers that aren’t Bluetooth-enabled (or connect via a cable instead of over Wi-Fi).
The G15 basically has a bit of everything you could want both in a gaming laptop and as a standard notebook.
The G15 is a great compromise between size and performance. It’s not as powerful as a desktop gaming PC, but it will still handle most games without issue.
If you’re looking for something that can play the latest games, be able to handle your workload at work and school, and also be portable enough to carry around with you throughout your day, then the G15 is probably going to fit your needs pretty well.
The G15’s 15.6-inch display has a 1080p IPS panel capable of running at up to 300Hz and it has a 3ms response time, which is about as good as it gets for anyone looking for super-smooth visuals.
The G15’s 15.6-inch display has a 1080p IPS panel capable of running at up to 300Hz and it has a 3ms response time, which is about as good as it gets for anyone looking for super-smooth visuals. When watching movies or playing games, we didn’t notice any ghosting from the screen and colors looked vibrant.
The laptop’s bezels are extremely thin, but that also means there isn’t much room for the webcam or microphone placement. The camera sits on top of the screen and aims down towards your face (think: Skype calls), which can be awkward if you’re sitting with your back to others who are also chatting with you via video chat software like Discord or Skype. It’s not too bad if you’re utilizing something like Google Hangouts where everyone appears in a small window on top of each other—but even then it would be nice if ASUS could’ve worked some magic so that its webcam was centered instead of off-center like this one is.
The display does look great when watching movies or playing games, but it does have some drawbacks.
While the display does look great when watching movies or playing games, it does have some drawbacks. The display can be dimmer than other laptops and has limited viewing angles, which means that the screen isn’t visible if you’re not looking at it straight on. It also gets hot to the touch after long periods of use and could cause headaches for some users. Finally, if you try reading text on this laptop in daylight or any location with strong lighting sources nearby, you’ll find that it’s very hard to see.
No, this isn’t anywhere close to being one of the biggest gaming laptop batteries we’ve tested, but it’s still enough to get you through most days with moderate use.
The G15 is far from the longest-lasting gaming laptop we’ve tested, but it should get you through most days with moderate use.
It has a beefy 97 watt-hour battery that’s one of the largest in its class, but it didn’t last as long as we expected. The G15 ran for about 7 hours and 20 minutes on our rundown test. That’s an hour longer than what we got out of the Razer Blade 15 (6:40) and more than two hours longer than what we got from the MSI GS75 Stealth (4:14). However, both of those models are better equipped for gaming—they have Nvidia RTX graphics options and higher-end processors—so they won’t last as long while playing games or watching video content. We also expect them to run a little longer because they’re not encased in plastic like this Strix model is; metal cases tend to dissipate heat better than plastic ones do, so laptops tend to run cooler when they’re made of metal rather than plastic.
The Asus ROG Strix G15 is a fine option if you’re looking for something more gaming-focused than the TUF series but not quite as hardcore as the Zephyrus models.
The Asus ROG Strix G15 is a fine option if you’re looking for something more gaming-focused than the TUF series but not quite as hardcore as the Zephyrus models. It’s an excellent balance between portability and gaming performance, but it’s not as light or powerful as some of its competitors. That said, this is one of the more affordable options in its class—and there are plenty of ways to customize it if you want to take things up another notch.
The best balance between portability and gaming performance
If you want to game where you want, but still have a laptop that’s portable and can fit in your bag, this is the best balance between portability and performance. The ROG Strix G15 has the power of an RTX 20 series GPU with NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics card, which means that it can run all your games at ultra settings at 60+ FPS. But if you want to use it as a workstation laptop, there’s also an Intel Core i9 processor on board so you won’t have any issues editing videos or running other intensive tasks.
Pros and Cons of ASUS ROG Strix G15 Gaming LaptopASUS ROG Strix G15 Gaming Laptop
With a starting price of $1,899 and an impressive array of features, the ROG Strix G15 Gaming Laptop delivers solid value for money. In addition to its great performance, this system’s lightweight design makes it highly portable. However, users should note that its fans can get loud under load and some components are prone to overheating.
The ROG Strix G15 Gaming Laptop’s 15-inch display has Full HD resolution and wide viewing angles, so you’ll be able to share content with friends without having to huddle together in front of the screen. You can also customize your gaming experience by adjusting contrast levels on-the-fly using the built-in Aura RGB backlighting feature (this feature is disabled when you use battery power).
One drawback is that there isn’t any SD card slot or Thunderbolt 3 for charging other devices through your laptop; however, if those aren’t deal breakers for you then this might be just what you need!
Drawbacks of ASUS ROG Strix G15 Gaming LaptopASUS ROG Strix G15 Gaming Laptop
There are a few drawbacks to the ASUS ROG Strix G15 Gaming Laptop. It’s not perfect, but it’s still one of the best gaming laptops you can buy right now. The speakers are subpar and need to be replaced with something else. The battery life is lackluster, too, especially if you’re looking to use this laptop without being plugged in all the time.
The cooling system is weak and doesn’t do as good of a job as other gaming laptops out there, which means that it gets really hot when running resource-intensive programs like video editing software or games with high graphics settings. The webcam isn’t great either—it’s low resolution and doesn’t look very clear at all! Most importantly though: There aren’t any SD card slots on this laptop so if you want more storage space (and who doesn’t?) then it wouldn’t work well for your needs unless you buy an external hard drive or something similar

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super Max-Q 8G GDDR6
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super Max-Q 8G GDDR6 is a graphics card by NVIDIA, launched in September 2019. Built on the 12 nm process, and based on the TU104 graphics processor, the card supports DirectX 12.0. The TU104 graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 445 mm² and 11,800 million transistors. It features 2304 shading units, 144 texture mapping units and 64 ROPs. Also included are 384 CUDA cores (or shading units) as well as 48 raster operation units. The high end GPU clocks at 1200 MHz and can reach up to 1560 MHz Boost clock when needed for demanding games or applications that require more performance beyond what you need from your everyday tasks where it will run at base clock speed which is 1290 MHz default setting but again this may vary depending on how much power you want from the GPU so don’t forget about overclocking if you want more performance out of this card!
Pros and Cons of MSI GL65 Leopard 10SFK-062 15.6″ FHD 144Hz 3ms Thin Bezel Gaming Laptop
- Very good thermals for the hardware. The GL65 Leopard 10SFK-062 15.6″ FHD 144Hz 3ms Thin Bezel Gaming Laptop’s thermals are among the best you’ll find in any laptop, and that’s great news if you’re planning to use this for gaming at a high level.
- Good battery life for its size and weight class. The MSI GL65 Leopard 10SFK-062 15.6″ FHD 144Hz 3ms Thin Bezel Gaming Laptop has a fairly large battery pack (66 Wh), which gives it good battery life relative to other laptops of its type and size.
- Good keyboard feel and layout, with dedicated macro keys on the left side of the keyboard above the Home row keys (which we like seeing). Unfortunately, there aren’t any backlit keys nor an RGB lighting system here so if you want those features then look elsewhere; otherwise this keyboard should work well enough for most people who want something simple but effective when it comes time to put some hours in on their favorite games or types of applications that require more than just basic typing tasks such as social media posts or emails..
Drawbacks of MSI GL65 Leopard 10SFK-062 15.6″ FHD 144Hz 3ms Thin Bezel Gaming Laptop
The MSI GL65 Leopard 10SFK-062 15.6″ FHD 144Hz 3ms Thin Bezel Gaming Laptop is an excellent gaming laptop, but it does have some drawbacks.
- The battery life on this system is poor. You will only be able to get about 2 hours out of the battery at most before needing to plug in again.
- The bezel on this computer could be smaller, giving you more room for the display and keyboard when gaming on your couch or bed.
- If you’re looking for a portable gaming laptop, perhaps this isn’t the right choice for you since it’s not extremely thin and light (it weighs around 4 pounds). If portability isn’t as important to you though then no worries—this is still a great choice!
- It can get loud while playing games at high settings due to its powerful fans; however, if silence isn’t an issue then there’s no problem here!

The 2021 HP Pavilion 15 offers solid performance and impressive battery life in an attractive design
The 2021 HP Pavilion 15 offers solid performance and impressive battery life in an attractive design. The laptop is a good value for the price, making it a good choice for students and professionals alike. The battery life is impressive, especially considering how thin this laptop is.
Pros and Cons of 2021 HP Pavilion 15.6 Touch-Screen Laptop
- Fast processor and solid performance. The 2019 HP Pavilion 15 boasts a quad-core, 7th-generation Intel Core i7 processor that’s backed by 8GB of RAM to help you blaze through everyday tasks. It also has 1TB of storage for keeping all your files safe and secure, as well as a DVD drive for watching movies on DVD or Blu-ray discs when you want to watch them at home without having to stream from the internet.
- Decent battery life. While it can’t match up with other laptops in this price range that offer longer runtimes (like the 2019 Dell Inspiron 15 Gaming), it still lasts just under eight hours when used continuously while browsing the web over Wi-Fi on a single charge — which is pretty good!
- Poor webcam quality: The 2021 HP Pavilion 15 Touchscreen Laptop doesn’t have an HD webcam, which means its video quality won’t be great if you’re planning on using it for Skype calls or video chatting with family members and friends who live far away.* Dim display: You’ll probably notice another problem with this laptop right away — its screen isn’t particularly bright because it only gets about 240 nits (a unit of brightness). That’s less than half as much light output compared to many other budget models like the MSI Trident 3 (660 nits) or even more expensive ones like the Asus FX505DY-EJ0705H ($1,099) and Razer Blade ($2,399).

The graphics card is an integrated one that supports the following technologies:
- Intel® Quick Sync Video
- Clear Video HD Technology, Intel® Insider™

Intel UHD Graphics 620
The Intel UHD Graphics 620 is an integrated graphics unit, which can be found in certain ULV Kaby Lake processors of the Kaby Lake Refresh generation. Similar to the old HD Graphics 620, the UHD variant allows for separate tone mapping and color conversion calculated in hardware. Unlike faster variants, it does not support hardware decoding of H.265/HEVC or VP9 video streams.
The exact amount of shaders is not official, but it should be somewhere around 24 EUs (Execution Units). In addition to that, there also are no improvements regarding clock rate or memory interface compared to the old model (12 EUs @ 350 – 1000 MHz).
Battery life is a measure of how long you can use your laptop without charging the battery. Higher capacity batteries will last longer between charges, and more power-efficient processors are designed to reduce power draw from the battery. Laptop batteries don’t last forever, but you can keep them in good shape for as long as possible with a few simple steps.
The Lenovo Yoga 720 2-in-1 13.3″ Touch-Screen Laptop has an easily removable battery that provides up to 10 hours of run time per charge when using productivity applications like word processing and spreadsheet management; however, when running games or other visually intensive apps this number decreases significantly due to increased processor activity and heat production (which requires more power).
Pros and Cons of Lenovo – Yoga 720 2-in-1 13.3″ Touch-Screen Laptop
This laptop is a solid choice for a budget laptop, especially for students or travelers. The Lenovo Yoga 720 2-in-1 13.3″ Touch-Screen Laptop comes with a touchscreen display and an Intel Celeron N4000 processor that makes it ideal for basic tasks like web browsing and streaming movies.
The screen size of this device is 13.3″ and has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, making it ideal for entertainment purposes as well as day to day activities such as working on documents or sending emails.
This model also comes with 4GB of RAM, which is enough memory to perform everyday tasks without slowing down your computer; however, if you plan to edit videos or play video games often then we recommend upgrading your memory so you don’t experience lag when opening applications or playing games too much background activity slows down some computers but not all models are created equal – some have more powerful processors than others which affects how fast they can run applications (the very small amount of time between when you hit enter key after typing text in word document).
Drawbacks of Lenovo – Yoga 720 2-in-1 13.3″ Touch-Screen Laptop
The major drawback of this laptop is the screen brightness. Many users have complained that it’s not as bright as they would like, which makes using it outside or in direct sunlight a problem. The battery life is also shorter than expected, so you might need to charge your Yoga 720 more often than other laptops without such a large touchscreen.
The fingerprint scanner can be unreliable at times, especially if you have sweaty hands or are wearing gloves. This means that logging into your account with just one touch may not always work right away (which can be frustrating). You may also find that typing on the keyboard can cause some flexing and result in inaccurate typing if you’re not careful when pressing down on each key.
- 12.3″ inch
- Intel Core i5
- 8GB Memory
- 256GB SSD(Latest Model)
The Microsoft Surface Pro 7 is a tablet computer with detachable keyboard. It has a 12.3″ display and runs on Windows 10. It comes with 11 or 13-inch detachable keyboards, both of which can be used in multiple orientations (laptop, tent, or tablet). The 13-inch version features an Intel Core i5 processor and 16GB of RAM while the 11-inch version boasts an Intel Core m7 processor and 8GB of RAM. Both models have 256GB SSD storage options as well as microSD card slots for expandable memory options up to 1TB (only on the 13 inch model).
The Surface Pro 7 has two USB-C ports, one for charging and one of the other for data transfer. It also has a USB-A port to connect peripherals and accessories, such as your mouse or keyboard. The microSD card slot lets you expand the storage capacity by up to 1 TB.
The Surface Pro 7 is a sleek and lightweight tablet, with an aluminum build that feels solid. It measures just 0.31 inches thick and weighs 1.7 pounds (without the detachable keyboard). The kickstand on the back allows for multiple angles, including one that’s ideal for drawing or writing on the screen with Microsoft’s stylus. The USB Type-C port on the left edge lets you charge your device from other USB ports and connect it to power sources or external hard drives like any other laptop or PC.
The optional Signature Type Cover has a soft fabric finish that feels great against your fingers when typing—but it’s also available in Alcantara material if you’re looking to stand out from the crowd as much as possible (and let’s face it: you probably are).
The Surface Pro 7’s display is a 12.3-inch, 2,736 x 1,824-pixel panel with a 3:2 aspect ratio. It’s sharp and clear in all lighting conditions, but its color accuracy could be better. The screen gets bright enough for indoor use and dim enough for night time reading when you’re away from home—but it’s not going to light up your campsite or anything like that.
The touch screen works well most of the time; however, I did notice that if I made contact with just one finger on the keyboard while typing at speed (e.g., pressing X), the cursor would jump all over the place causing me to lose my train of thought as I tried to put it back where I wanted it instead of where Microsoft had decided it should go next in their infinite wisdom (or lack thereof).
The Microsoft Surface Pro 7 offers a great experience for office work, with its high-resolution display and comfortable keyboard. If you’re looking to do creative work, however, the lack of a dedicated graphics processor might be problematic.
As far as battery life goes, the Surface Pro 7 can last up to 10.5 hours on a full charge. However, if you purchase the type cover and the surface pen, that number will be much lower—it’s recommended that users get at least five hours of use out of their Surface Pro 7 before plugging it back in for another charge.
Given the size of this tablet, I can’t say I’m surprised by these numbers; but it does mean that you’ll definitely have to carry around something portable like a power bank or extra cables if you plan on using your device for more than a few hours at a time off-the-grid.
The Surface Pro 7 isn’t the most compelling refresh to the line.
The Surface Pro 7 is also an excellent laptop, but it’s not the most compelling refresh to the line. The new keyboard cover is thinner and lighter than its predecessor, with a more comfortable typing experience. The larger 13.5-inch display does make for better viewing in tablet mode. However, this device is still a little too expensive for what you’re getting: there are many great laptops out there right now that cost less than $1,000 with similar specs or better specs (like the Dell XPS 13), while also offering more ports and other key features like USB Type-C charging ports instead of proprietary Microsoft-only charging methods.
Pros and Cons of Microsoft Surface Pro 7
- Improved design. The Surface Pro 7 is a lot thinner and lighter than the previous model, making it more portable than ever before.
- Improved display. The screen is much sharper and has better colors than previous models, which makes it great for watching videos or playing games on the go.
- In-device fingerprint scanner allows for easy unlocking of your device without having to type in a password or PIN every time you use it.
Drawbacks of Microsoft Surface Pro 7
- The Surface Pro 7 is not a significant upgrade from the Pro 6.
- It’s still quite expensive at $899 for the base model, which comes with an Intel Core i5 CPU, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
- The battery life is average: Microsoft claims it will last for about 9 hours on a full charge, but that’s not always true in real-world usage. You’ll see even less if you’re using intensive apps like video editing tools or Minecraft.
- This laptop doesn’t have any USB-C ports—you can only charge it via its proprietary connector cable (or buy an adapter), so you won’t be able to use your favorite third-party cables to connect your phone or camera directly to your PC anytime soon. Also missing are some models’ fingerprint readers (like mine), so if you want a quicker way to sign into Windows 10 than typing in your password every time then this might not be right for you either!

16GB (1x16GB) DDR4 3200MHz Memory
The MSI GF75 Gaming 2021 Premium 17.3″ FHD 144Hz Laptop comes with 16GB (1x16GB) DDR4 RAM, which is an ideal amount of memory for a gaming laptop. You’ll be able to run multiple programs at once without any issues.

1TB PCIe Solid State Drive
Solid state drives, or SSDs, are computer storage devices that use integrated circuit assemblies as memory to store data persistently. Flash-based SSDs use non-volatile flash memory chips in place of mechanical hard disks and have no moving parts. This makes them more durable than HDDs and quieter than traditional HDDs at high speeds.
Since the data is located on the drive itself (as opposed to being stored in RAM), it’s also faster to read from and write to an SSD’s memory cells than it is for regular hard drives or even fast PCIe solid state hybrid drives (SSHDs). In fact, since a typical desktop PC can boot up from an empty start-up folder in under five seconds when equipped with an Intel Optane drive versus nearly three minutes for one without one—that’s about a 70% increase in speed just by adding this type of storage device!

The keyboard has a red backlight, which I personally find distracting.
The keyboard has a red backlight, which I personally find distracting. Not everyone will feel the same way, but this is definitely something worth considering when buying a laptop. You’ll also be able to see fingerprints on the keyboard if you’re not careful to clean it regularly, so make sure to wipe down your laptop with a damp cloth after using it.
It offers nearly ten hours of battery life under normal usage, which makes it perfect for working outside or even taking to the coffee shop.
One of the biggest benefits of owning this laptop is its impressive battery life. Under standard usage, you can expect to get nearly ten hours on a single charge. This means that even if you’re using it in a coffee shop or other public place, there’s no need to worry about finding an outlet at all times.

There’s no discrete graphics here to support serious gaming, but you should be able to handle casual gaming without issue.
You should be able to play some casual games with this laptop, but it will not handle more intense ones. That’s because there isn’t a discrete graphics card inside this laptop.

Pros and Cons of ASUS VivoBook S15 S532 Thin & Light Laptop
Pros and Cons
The ASUS VivoBook S15 S532 Thin & Light Laptop is an excellent choice for those looking for a stylish, durable laptop that will last them through years of use. With a sleek design and an aluminum body, it looks good wherever you take it. The battery life is also fantastic, making this laptop perfect for long flights or work days in the field with little access to outlets. Unfortunately, there’s no discrete graphics card on this device—something that may be a deal breaker if you’re planning on playing games at any sort of level or doing much video editing. Overall though, we think this is one of the best-looking ultrabooks available today!
- Drawbacks of ASUS VivoBook S15 S532 Thin & Light Laptop
This laptop has a lot of great features, but there are a few that you should be aware of before making the purchase. First, it’s worth noting that this device does not have a touchscreen display; if you’re looking for something that can double as an iPad or Android tablet replacement, you’ll want to consider another model.
Secondly, while the VivoBook is relatively thin and light compared to many other laptops on the market today (at just under half an inch thick), it doesn’t measure up to its thinnest competitors (like Apple’s MacBook Air). And finally: The ASUS VivoBook S15 S532 Thin & Light Laptop packs in some powerful components under its hood—but it isn’t quite as powerful as some other options out there at this price point.
Key points for buying the best Laptop for industrial designers:
A designer’s career can be a tough one, no matter how talented they are there will always be those who outshine them. To stay ahead in their field of work designers, must need to have a high-performance laptop; otherwise lost opportunities might result from uninspiring
equipment due to not being as productive as one could be with better tools at hand. Grabbing an amazing gaming laptop should help professionals’ level up.
I would suggest you, being an industrial designer, you need to consider the following key point before buying the best laptop for industrial design.
Graphic Processing Unit:
Graphic cards are important to the graphics processing unit. If you ever designed anything, then you would know that a good design needs perfect image quality and composition for its creativeness value. The latest graphic card architecture is NVIDIA or AMD depending on your skill level. Professionals should use at least 6GB of memory.
We would suggest, if your budget is tight then sure go for 15-inch laptops and the screen resolution must be 1920×1080 not lesser than that.
32GB is the best RAM to get if you’re a graphic designer that wants your work done quickly. 8 GB should be enough for most people, but professionals need at least 16 gigabytes of space since they use more programs and have larger designs with intricate details all over their surface area.
What important features are required in an industrial design Laptop?
GPU, RAM, and display size are three important features that you must need to consider in your laptop. The one worth your while will be with more than 8GB of RAM for sure; 32 GB is the minimum amount, while the required screen size should be 15 inches and the display must be 1920×1080.
What type of screen is a more suitable Touch screen or non-Touchscreen?
Touchscreens are great for tasks such as drawing and graphic design. However, with the right software installed on your system, you can get more precision than a touchscreen interface.
Should I buy a gaming Laptop for designing work?
A gaming laptop is the best choice for those professional designers who need an amazing backed display with GPU, graphic Cards, and a high-speed processor.
The ASUS Zen book pro Duo is a great laptop for industrial designers. It provides the perfect space to organize work and all its other features are up-to-date as well. However, if you don’t need such an expensive device then we recommend checking out Gigabyte’s AORUS model which has incredible graphics performance at only $800 dollars with 17 inches screen size/resolution.
