Pros and Cons of ASUS VivoBook 15 Thin and Light Laptop

Drawbacks of ASUS VivoBook 15 Thin and Light Laptop

The battery life of VivoBook 15 is not that great. You will get only approx 6-7 hours of battery backup on normal usage which is average.

The trackpad of the laptop is not smooth enough and the keys are a bit small which makes it a bit difficult to type on this laptop.

However, the display of ASUS VivoBook 15 is not too bright, you can use this laptop easily outside in bright sunlight but with difficulty. The speakers are also not loud enough and the webcam could be better than this as many webcams nowadays come with 720p resolution but this one comes with just 0.3 MP camera which is very bad in terms of quality.

The weight of ASUS VivoBook 15 Thin and Light Laptop is 1.6Kg which means it’s a bit heavy for its size as most laptops under $500 come under 1Kg weightage nowadays.

A laptop is a portable computer. It has most of the same components as a desktop computer, including a display, a keyboard and mouse, speaker and microphone. It has an integrated input/output system (meaning that all the peripheral ports are on the laptop itself) and you can use it with any monitor or television. A laptop also tends to have built-in features such as wireless networking, Bluetooth for connecting peripherals and cameras for recording video or taking photos.

You might not be able to tell at first glance, but there are actually two types of laptops: traditional clamshells and convertibles (or 2-in-1s). Traditional laptops feature screens that open up in one direction to reveal the keyboard inside. On these machines you can change the viewing angle by tilting back the lid until it’s parallel with your desk or tabletop, but once you reach a certain point past 90 degrees (usually around 125 degrees), you can’t tilt it back anymore without damaging the screen assembly. Convertibles work differently; their lids open up like regular clamshells but also extend flat so that their keyboards face downward when opened all the way. This allows them to be used as tablets or media consumption devices without having to detach anything externally from their bodies — everything remains intact no matter which mode you’re using them in.

  • Battery life is much better than advertised, it lasts around 7 hours at 80% brightness while surfing the internet.

  • Some keys are not backlit as advertised.

Overall I love my new laptop it’s beautiful looks great runs well has a lot of storage for the price and I’m very satisfied with it so far

Drawbacks of 2021 HP 14 inch HD Laptop

As you can see, the drawbacks to this laptop are pretty minimal. The way we see it, the lack of a backlit keyboard is easily overlooked if you’re primarily planning to use your laptop at home. We also think the battery life is not too shabby for such an affordable and powerful device. Plus, there are plenty of cheap ways to use this laptop wherever you go—like a spare mouse or USB-C charger to plug into your car’s cigarette lighter.

To sum up: Our biggest takeaway from all this is that HP has produced a great value for an extremely affordable price point with their 2021 14-inch HD Laptop! While it does have some drawbacks, we do not feel that they outweigh the positives so much that they should discourage you from picking one up.

3.2020 Apple MacBook Pro with Apple M1

Model NameMacBook Pro
Specific Uses For ProductPersonal, Gaming, Business
Screen Size13.3 Inches
Operating SystemMac OS
Human Interface InputKeyboard
CPU ManufacturerApple
Graphics Card DescriptionIntegrated
ColorSpace Gray
Connectivity TechnologyBluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB

Hi there! I’m the 2020 Apple MacBook Pro with Apple M1.

I’m the first Mac with Apple’s new M1 chip. The M1 is Apple’s first ARM-based chip for the Mac. It promises to be faster, more power efficient and smaller than Intel chips. That’s because ARM chips are currently found in smartphones and tablets, not laptops and desktops, which use x86 architecture from companies such as Intel or AMD. Intel has been making laptop processors for decades, so ARM is interrupting a very established market right now.

The M1 chip has 8 cores divided into four performance cores (for more intensive tasks), four efficiency cores (for basic tasks) and an 8-core GPU that promises up to 2x better graphics performance than my predecessors’ graphics cards. The M1 also boasts 16 neural engine processing units that are made to handle machine learning tasks like face detection efficiently, thanks to their ability to balance resources among all of the other parts of the system itself (allowing it to function independently).

What Is New

One of the biggest changes to the Apple MacBook Pro in years is the new M1 chip. It’s a system-on-a-chip (SoC) made by Apple and designed specifically for the Mac. It includes an 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine.

The M1 chip is claimed to be not only the fastest CPU ever in a Mac, but also the fastest GPU ever in a Mac. The result should be much faster performance than any Intel MacBook Pro model and, in some cases, faster performance than even an iMac or Mac mini with Intel Core i9 processors.

The MacBook Pro has 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD as standard across all models, but you can upgrade both options at checkout if required.

Design and Build

The 2020 MacBook Pro has the same sleek, unibody build, but is a bit smaller and lighter than its predecessor. According to Apple, the new 13-inch MacBook Pro weighs 3 pounds (1.4kg), which is down from 3.02 pounds (1.37 kg) on the previous 16-inch version, and measures 11.97 x 8.36 x 0.61 inches (30.41 x 21.24 x 1.56cm) with a footprint that’s slightly shorter and narrower than before, while being 0.2 inches thinner overall compared to last year’s model (0.64cm). This makes it both easier to slip into your bag as well as hold on your lap or at your desk for prolonged periods of time while you work or watch shows on it during your downtime hours.

“The MacBook Pro features a 13.3-inch Retina display with IPS technology and has a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels for over 4 million pixels total. This is comparable to what you would find in many popular desktop monitors, giving you the space to do things like edit and view photos or videos, work on documents with multiple windows side-by-side, and more.”

“The 16:10 aspect ratio means you get a little extra vertical space compared to most laptops that use 16:9. This makes it easier to scroll through webpages without having to zoom in and out as much as you might otherwise need to.”

“True Tone Technology uses advanced multichannel sensors to adjust the white balance onscreen based on ambient lighting conditions. That way it looks more natural in any environment at any time of day, even if your desk lamp is turned off.”

“You can also enjoy high brightness (500 nits) and wide color (P3).”

Want a sneak peek at the latest technology? Apple’s new MacBook Pro is one of the first devices to feature an Apple M1 chip, which promises not only increased speed and improved battery life, but also the ability to natively run apps designed for iPhones and iPads.

The previous generation of this laptop was powered by Intel’s 10th-generation CPUs. When we tested it, we found that its performance was very good. While there’s no firm evidence yet that you’ll get exactly 3.5 times more horsepower from switching to Apple silicon, several websites have done early tests that show dramatic improvements in performance compared to Intel-powered laptops. If these numbers are any indication of what you can expect from the finished product, then this is going to be one very speedy computer indeed.

Battery Life

The 13-inch MacBook Pro has a 58 Wh battery that provides up to 17 hours of wireless web browsing and 20 hours of video playback, compared with 10 hours of web browsing or movie playback on the previous generation. The 15-inch MacBook Pro offers a 100 Wh battery for up to 11 hours of wireless web browsing or 12 hours of iTunes movie playback, compared to 8 hours of web browsing or 8 hours of iTunes movie playback on the previous generation.

Keyboard, Trackpad, and Touch ID

  • The new Magic Keyboard is a feature worth writing home about. It has a scissor switch design, which enables improved key stability and 1mm of travel for an enjoyable typing experience.
  • Touch ID allows you to log in with your fingerprint and make quick online purchases by using Apple Pay.
  • A Touch Bar replaces the row of function keys at the top of the keyboard. It provides quick shortcuts to other tasks, such as adjusting volume and brightness or activating Siri.
  • The Force Touch trackpad provides plenty of room for gestures and Force clicks (pressing down on an item with added pressure). This enables fast access to important information while in Safari or Mail without having to open a new window.
  • A high-quality internal speaker produces clear audio that is loud enough for small group conversations. Hi-Fi playback allows you to listen to music through headphones or external speakers without distortion at higher volumes.

Port selection and MagSafe

Connectivity on the MacBook Pro has been upgraded in two main ways. For one, there are now two Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports on the left-hand side, which enable faster data transfer and more functions within a single port. The right-hand side of the laptop still retains two USB-C / Thunderbolt 3 ports. Both these sides of the laptop also have a 3.5mm headphone jack so you can plug in your favorite pair of headphones to listen to some music while you work. All four ports support fast charging and video output, so you can use them for a variety of purposes (display or audio input and output). There is also an HDMI 2.0 port on the left-hand side so you can connect external monitors for those who like working with multiple displays at once. Finally, there is an SD card reader built into this model as well for users who rely on using cards for photography or video workflows that call for it.”

FaceTime HD camera and speakers

…and if you’re looking for some awesome gadgets that offer full-time HD video calling, then you should be checking out the Apple MacBook Pro. This laptop has a faceTime HD camera and a pair of really powerful speakers that make it an awesome device for any casual user who’s into FaceTime. While this model is a bit more expensive than most others, it’s easily worth it. It has all the bells and whistles such as Touch ID fingerprint scanner, advanced sound quality, and even USB-C ports. And after all, what other laptop can do all this?

The new MacBook Pro is the beginning of the next generation of Macs. It’s an experience to behold and a pleasure to use.

The 2020 MacBook Pro is the first Mac computer to feature Apple’s new M1 system-on-a-chip. This 5nm, 8-core chip is divided into four high-performance cores and four efficiency cores. The new processor makes the latest MacBook Pro up to 2x faster than the previous model. It also has up to 3x better graphics performance than any other Apple laptop, according to Apple.

All of this means faster boot time, faster processing of apps and improved performance when working with multiple apps simultaneously.

A big benefit of the M1 chip is that it’s more efficient with power consumption. That means you get longer battery life in everyday use — up to 17 hours of video playback on a single charge, according to Apple — as well as faster charging speeds via USB-C or MagSafe cable.

Pros and Cons of 2020 Apple MacBook Pro with Apple M1

  • It’s the same price as a MacBook Air, so you can get a brand new one for the cost of an older, slower model.
  • The keyboard feels just like a MacBook Air.
  • The tiny bezel around the laptop makes it much more compact than previous Macbooks.
  • The weight of this upgraded model is slightly lower than the previous models, which makes it easier to carry and use for extended periods of time.

Drawbacks of 2020 Apple MacBook Pro with Apple M1

While the 2020 MacBook Pro with Apple M1 has a lot going for it, there are also some things that could be improved. For one, it’s missing some of the features you’d find on most laptops, such as a touch bar, fingerprint reader and SD card slot. It also lacks an HDMI port and Thunderbolt 3. While you can use adapters to get around some of these limitations, they add cost and bulkiness to the laptop.

That said, most people who buy this laptop don’t need those extra features — especially given that a desktop monitor will likely come into play at some point if you’re buying a powerful laptop like this one.

4.Acer Nitro 5 Gaming Laptop

Specific Uses For ProductMultimedia, Personal, Gaming

Connectivity TechnologyWifi

A gaming laptop is a portable computer specially designed for playing video games. They are similar to conventional laptops, but often come with high-end specifications that allow for smooth gameplay. Gaming laptops typically weigh more than conventional laptops, and are usually bulkier too. Moreover, they don’t offer the same battery life as conventional laptops, owing to their heavy specifications.

The Acer Nitro 5 doesn’t look like a gaming laptop. That’s not an insult; it doesn’t have glowing lights, the bezels aren’t any thinner than those of any other 15-inch laptop and it’s missing the chunky frames that make some gaming laptops look like they’re wearing pants with suspenders. Instead, it looks plain and might even be mistaken for a workhorse laptop.

That plainness is a good thing if you don’t want to draw attention to yourself when you’re using your PC in public, but I do think that the black lid and keyboard deck could use a little more flair, especially since this is a $1,000 laptop.

The 6-pound weight makes it easy to carry around your home or office but too heavy for frequent travelers.

– The Acer Nitro 5 features a simple and understated design that won’t turn too many heads.

The Acer Nitro 5 features a simple and understated design that won’t turn too many heads. It is relatively easy to carry around, measuring at 2.6kg only. In other words, you don’t need to worry about busting out your muscle while carrying it in a bag everywhere you go. You can also choose the Nitro 5 in two colors: black or red with black accents.

– Measuring at 2.6kg, its also relatively easy to carry around.

It measures 391 x 266 x 26mm and weighs 2.6kg. The laptop is not the lightest in the market, but it’s not too heavy and is easy to carry around.

The Nitro 5 (AN515-51) is available with three different screen options in some regions. The first configuration features a 15.6-inch matte display with 1920×1080 pixels and a refresh rate of only 60Hz. The second model has the same screen but 120Hz, and the third one is even better: an IPS panel with 144Hz that boasts particularly good viewing angles and colour reproduction. Colour values of 99 percent sRGB clearly exceed those of an average TN panel, while the Acer can keep up with its competitor in terms of contrast ratio. As a result, darker scenes are reproduced without any issues and the picture looks very balanced overall. The image on our test device (IPS 1440p/144 Hz) was very bright at maximum brightness, so you should have no problems using the laptop outdoors or in bright rooms – provided that you can live without dedicated outdoor displays like found on high-end gaming notebooks from MSI or Schenker XMG.

-The 15.6-inch full HD display is bright and colourful with good viewing angles and details.

The 15.6-inch full HD display is bright and colourful with good viewing angles and details. One can easily watch movies, play games and do all other kinds of work on this laptop.

Battery life

This is where the Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptop stumbles. The battery life lasted only 4 1/2 hours in our battery test, which involves continuous web surfing over Wi-Fi at 150 nits of brightness. That’s not great and will limit you to a desk or table if you want to use it for long periods unplugged.

Still, if you keep this laptop plugged in most of the time, it can’t be beat at the price. For $799 (starting at $699), you get a solid combination of performance and display, making it a good all-around system for productivity or for watching movies and playing games (as long as you don’t mind gaming on lower settings).

– On our PCMark 10 battery test, the Acer Nitro 5 lasted for just over 4 hours and 30 minutes. This is not great, but by no means a deal breaker if you’re primarily using it as a desktop replacement.

On our PCMark 10 battery test, the Acer Nitro 5 lasted for just over 4 hours and 30 minutes. This is not great, but by no means a deal breaker if you’re primarily using it as a desktop replacement.

Performance under pressure

As a gamer, the only thing worse than being beaten by your opponent is having your laptop lag out in the middle of an intense match. With its combination of Intel Core i7 processor and Nvidia GTX 1650 graphics card, this laptop can handle demanding video editing software without any issues. So whether you’re playing a game or creating content on it, the Acer Nitro 5 will give you smooth performance.

The Acer Nitro 5 has a gorgeous screen that comes in two sizes: 15-inch and 17-inch. Regardless of what size you get, the screen is capable of displaying vivid colors with excellent contrast ratios and viewing angles. The model we reviewed has exposed hinges with rubber coating that adds some flair to its overall appearance as well as helps prevent any movement when you’re typing on it.

The keyboard is spacious with large keys for easy typing, but lacks backlighting for late night gaming sessions. It does have dedicated volume buttons located above the number pad which are convenient for adjusting audio levels without navigating through Windows settings menus. When it comes to ports, there’s plenty to choose from including 3 USB 3 ports (one supports power off charging), 1 USB 2 port and an HDMI port which makes connecting to external displays simple.

The Intel Core i7 processor combined with the Nvidia GTX 1650 graphics card is a solid combination for gaming and productivity on the go. It managed to deliver smooth frame rates in games such as Far Cry 5 and Hitman 2 at high settings. It also handily dealt with demanding video editing software like Adobe Lightroom CC, Adobe Premiere Pro CC and Final Cut Pro X without any issues.

It also handily dealt with demanding video editing software like Adobe Lightroom CC, Adobe Premiere Pro CC and Final Cut Pro X without any issues.

So, to summarize, this laptop has a decent performance and a solid build quality. It’s got a good value for money and an elegant design.

It is a perfect pick for those who are looking for something more than just a gaming machine. It can be used for daily tasks as well as gaming with ease. Its screen size is 15 inches which makes it portable too.

Overall, if you want to buy it then we would say go ahead and give it a try but make sure you compare the price of this laptop in different stores before making your final purchase.

In terms of value for money, the Acer Nitro 5 delivers where it matters most – performance and build quality. With its current price point, it’s priced similarly to gaming laptops that pack inferior hardware, while delivering much better performance than standard notebooks in that range.

The Acer Nitro 5 is a great choice for any student that needs a machine that can handle both work and gaming. It’s also an excellent choice for business use, as it packs enough horsepower to do most productivity tasks with ease, while still being able to kick back and enjoy some games in one’s free time. Furthermore, the Acer Nitro 5 is priced similarly to other gaming laptops on the market, but it delivers much better performance than standard notebooks within that price range. This makes it a good value for money.

To summarize: If you’re looking for a laptop that can do everything you need at an affordable price point, look no further than the Acer Nitro 5.

Pros and Cons of Acer Nitro 5 Gaming Laptop

  • Powerful processor
  • Comfortable keyboard

  • Battery life could be better
  • Some bloatware loaded at startup

Drawbacks of Acer Nitro 5 Gaming Laptop

While the Acer Nitro 5 Gaming Laptop stands out in many ways as a great example of what’s possible in the gaming laptop market on a budget, it has its drawbacks. The “budget” part of this review is important to keep in mind throughout our analysis. As impressive as this machine is, there are some aspects where it doesn’t measure up.

Battery Life

We live in an age when we expect our devices to give us the ability to work and play wherever we want, whenever we want, and however long we want. While the battery life of the Acer Nitro 5 Gaming Laptop isn’t terrible, gamers will be disappointed that they can’t get more than five hours out of a charge even if they’re just using it for basic productivity tasks like emailing or browsing Facebook. Don’t expect to game for very long without being tethered to an outlet unless you’re willing to play at low settings or have lots of time between charges.

Design & Performance Under Pressure

The outer shell design aesthetic is simple black with red accents—fine for blending into your home office setup but nothing that screams “extreme performance,” unlike some more expensive models from more prestigious brands like Alienware or Razer Blade (though they are also much pricier). The frame is made from plastic rather than aluminum; while not a deal-breaker by any means if you can only afford something less expensive like this, beware that an all-plastic build may make you feel like you’re playing on something not quite as durable and sturdy as higher end models (see also: battery life).

A 10th Generation Intel® Core™ processor offers powerful performance for all your games and applications, and a 256GB solid-state drive provides plenty of storage space.

Intel Core i5-1035G1

Intel Core i5-1035G1

The quad-core i5 processor in the Pavilion x360 is a powerful one. The 10th generation of Intel’s “Ice Lake” architecture, these chips are designed to be smaller than previous iterations and more efficient, with improved performance and battery life. This particular chip has a base clock speed of 1GHz and a maximum boost speed of 3.6GHz. It’s also made up of 10nm transistors, which are a step up from the 14nm transistors found in earlier processors like the 9th generation Coffee Lake chips used in Apple’s most recent MacBooks.

8GB memory; 512GB SSD storage

Give yourself room to grow with an upgradeable memory of 8 GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM (upgradable to 16GB) that helps you run multiple applications simultaneously.

Store photos, music and more with 512 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD storage.

Binge watch your favorite shows with Intel® UHD graphics on a 14″ diagonal touch screen display in FHD (1920×1080).

14″ Full HD touchscreen

  • Touchscreen. The touch screen on this laptop gives you a natural, responsive way to interact with your computer.
  • Interactive. The touchscreen makes it fun and easy to access applications and features, especially those related to drawing, taking notes, or handwriting recognition.
  • More expensive than standard laptops. Touchscreen laptops are inherently more expensive due to the technology required for their operation.

NOTE: If you need a device for gaming, graphic design, video editing or programming and don’t plan on using the touchscreen at all, then a standard laptop without a touchscreen might be more suitable for your needs.

Built-in HD Webcam with Dual Array Microphone

I have a built-in HD webcam and dual-array microphone so you can enjoy bright, clear video chats.

Backlit keyboard for easy typing in dim or dark locations

Another nice touch is a backlit keyboard that is quiet and easy to type on, given the spacing between keys. For folks who use their laptops in dim or dark locations, this feature increases the accessibility of basic functions such as typing or checking emails.

What’s the best way to stay productive at home and on the go?

The answer is simple: Stay connected. Thanks to the HP Pavilion x360 14 Convertible 2-in-1 Laptop’s array of ports, you can connect your computer to a variety of devices. Use its HDMI port to connect with another screen for presentations or streaming content from your favorite service. You can also connect using a USB headset or USB keyboard, because, of course, you want to keep yourself productive even when it’s time for that hot cup of coffee. When it’s time for some downtime, simulate a desktop PC by connecting your laptop via an Ethernet cable and plugging in peripherals such as printers and external drives. And if you’re on the road and not near a Wi-Fi access point, connect by using its integrated SD card reader (SDXC) with support for high-capacity cards (up to 512GB), so you can transfer files quickly between home and the office.

Pros and Cons of HP Pavilion x360 14 Convertible 2-in-1 Laptop

If you want a laptop that’s versatile, easy to use and, above all, affordable, the HP Pavilion x360 14 is worth a close look. The 2-in-1 design makes it easy to switch between different modes and gives you more options for checking out your favorite content. Plus, the comfortable keyboard and touchpad are ideal for getting work done or browsing social media.

On the other hand, if you need a machine that offers high-end performance at an affordable price, check out our review of the Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5 14 or our best laptops under $500 list.

Drawbacks of HP Pavilion x360 14 Convertible 2-in-1 Laptop

It’s not half bad for a mid-range laptop. Its shortcomings are in its lacking audio performance, which is useful for watching movies and listening to music. Its heat management is also a bit of a problem. It does not have an active cooling system like the more expensive models have, which can lead to overheating if you use it for prolonged periods of time. However, it has a touch-screen display and a decent battery life. This makes it ideal as an everyday laptop that you can take to school or work with you as long as you don’t need it for heavy gaming or video-editing purposes.

Finally, we come to the drawbacks of this laptop. There are quite a few drawbacks that might make you think twice before purchasing this model:

ASUS TUF Gaming Laptop

Introduction of ASUS TUF Gaming Laptop

If you’re looking for a gaming laptop, the ASUS TUF Gaming FX705DT is definitely a good one to take a look at. This laptop comes with a good-looking design and has all the performance required to play your favorite games.

  • Processor: Up to 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8750H*
  • Graphics: Up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 with 6GB GDDR5 VRAM*
  • Display: 17.3-inch, FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS-level panel, 144Hz, 3ms, 100% sRGB*
  • Memory: Up to 16GB DDR4 2666MHz SDRAM, 1x SO-DIMM socket for expansion up to 32GB SDRAM

Storage 1x M.2 SSD slot (NVMe PCIe 3.0 x 4) & 1x 2.5″ SATA HDD

ASUS TUF Gaming FX504GD-RS51 is a solid-built laptop that comes with a plastic chassis. Its weight of 5.07 lbs and dimensions of 15.1 x 10.3 x 1 inches make it ideal for traveling, but not necessarily fit for your lap since it’s a bit thick and heavy. It may not feel as premium in design as other laptops on the market, but it does well in its price range. The bottom features rubber feet at each corner and two large vents which allow decent airflow when placed on a hard surface like a table or desk. The laptop feels sturdy and rigid throughout, so you won’t feel any creaking or bending when holding the computer from one corner to another by the screen or keyboard frame (this test is also known as “twist”).

The bezels around the display are pretty thin which makes this display look nice and modern. You can recognize how good-looking this laptop is right away with its brushed aluminium finish that provides an aesthetically pleasing appearance.

The laptop weighs around 2.2kg and have a thickness of 25.8mm, which makes it easy to carry and travel with. However, the laptop may not be portable for those who intend to carry a lot of luggage or equipment.

The laptop has an anti-glare coating on top of its 17.3-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS panel, which results in crisp images without any distracting reflections or glare. When it comes to colors, the panel reproduces 100 percent of the sRGB color gamut and is factory calibrated at 300 nits brightness for optimal accuracy.

Unfortunately, the panel is not VESA DisplayHDR™ 400 certified like the ROG Strix G17. While this shouldn’t be a big concern for most gamers, those who enjoy playing games with HDR enabled will have to settle for a standard SDR (standard dynamic range).

Keyboard and Touchpad

The TUF Gaming FX505 sports a full-size chiclet keyboard with a 1.4mm travel distance and requires 67g of force to actuate. It’s backlit with single-zone RGB LED that can be adjusted using the Aura core utility. The keys are comfortable to type on and don’t feel overly mushy or too stiff. The touchpad is smooth and accurate, allowing me to make precise selections with no issues.

For the CPU, you get a Core i7-8750H which is roughly equivalent to the Core i7-7700HQ we saw in last year’s model but with twice as many cores and threads.

The GPU has moved up from a GTX 1060 6 GB to a GTX 1660 Ti 6 GB, which should provide about 20% more performance at similar power levels.

The RAM and storage are configurable, though the final price can quickly skyrocket if you opt for large amounts of memory or an ultrafast SSD.

All in all, this TUF FX505DY seems like it should have quite decent gaming performance overall.

Battery Life

ASUS TUF Gaming Laptop’s battery life is on the low side. This laptop has a listed battery life of 5 hours, but during our testing, we had a hard time getting it to last longer than 3 hours. The lack of USB Type-C charging makes this even more frustrating because you can’t use a portable charger to extend your battery life.

The dual-fan cooling system ensures that the CPU and GPU run cool even when gaming. The fans are loud, but the system never overheats. In fact, we didn’t hit any thermal throttling during our testing.

Audio Quality

Let’s start with the speakers. They’re loud, and I was able to make out all the sound effects, musical cues and dialogue clearly from across a large room without any sound distortions or fuzzy audio. The bass notes aren’t as deep as I would like them to be, but for general use and gaming, the audio quality is good enough. If you want to experience the best sound quality for your games, however, it’s better to plug in your headphones instead.

The ASUS TUF Gaming FX705 is a good gaming laptop that offers solid performance at a great price.

The ASUS TUF Gaming FX705 is a good gaming laptop that offers solid performance at a great price.

However, it has short battery life and average thermals.

You’ll be able to game with this laptop for as long as you have it plugged in, but when you take it on the go, don’t expect too much from its battery life.

Its thermals are average; they’re not very good in such an affordable device.

The ASUS TUF Gaming FX705 is a well-balanced machine that gets nearly all of the big things right and leaves out some of the minor details.

Pros and Cons of ASUS TUF Gaming Laptop

There are a lot of great things about the ASUS TUF Gaming Laptop. A few notable highlights include:

  • Great gaming performance for the price
  • Portability, with a weight of only 4.85 pounds and a thickness of 0.96 inches
  • Reliable durability that you can count on when traveling, thanks to military-grade certification (MIL-STD-810G) from a third-party testing lab

While there are plenty of good things about the ASUS TUF Gaming Laptop, it also has its downsides. These include:

  • The screen is only 1080p, which means it’s not as sharp as other laptops that use 4K screens
  • It doesn’t have an optical drive

Drawbacks of ASUS TUF Gaming Laptop

There are certainly things that this laptop could do better. For example, the battery life could be improved upon; it is not as good as many other laptops in its price range. The same goes for the speakers, which lack volume and depth. The screen is duller than other laptops of similar cost. And the touchpad could be more responsive. If you have a sensitive touchscreen, you might find yourself accidentally right clicking instead of left clicking, which can cause frustration when typing or browsing through files. As mentioned before, there is no option to turn off backlighting on the keyboard so if you would like to work in a dark room without being distracted by bright keys staring directly at your face then this option may not suit your needs.

The screen is your standard laptop screen size: It has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels which is full HD resolution meaning when you’re using a web browser or any other program there are lots of pixels–or dots–making up the image so it doesn’t look pixelated or blurry.

  • The specs are good for the price, and the battery life is great. The build quality is good, too.
  • Overall, the Swift 3 is a good laptop to purchase if you need one.

Pros and Cons of Acer Swift 3 Thin & Light Laptop

The Acer Swift 3 is a powerful, portable laptop that has the potential to meet many different needs. It comes with a 7th Generation Intel Core i5-7200U processor, meaning it excels at running many tasks at once and handling heavy loads. Its NVIDIA GeForce 940MX graphics card gives you some leeway for gaming and other graphics-intensive activities, as well as video editing. At 14” x 9.6” x 0.71” inches and 2.98 lbs., it’s easy to take with you when you travel or commute without weighing you down—and its sleek design lends an air of sophistication to your everyday computing experience.

The Acer Swift 3 doesn’t really have any major drawbacks in the realm of its intended purpose; however, if you’re looking for something specifically for gaming, there are better options on the market than this laptop (though it’s still a strong contender). If you want something ultra lightweight or need to frequently change locations while working or studying, this might not be the best option either—you’ll probably want something even more compact and light weight if that’s the case!

Drawbacks of Acer Swift 3 Thin & Light Laptop

The drawbacks

This laptop is extremely light and thin. You can easily carry it around with you wherever you go. Its screen display has a high brightness and resolution, making it great for watching movies or editing photos. It does have a bit of an issue when it comes to the graphics performance. It’s not a deal breaker, but if you are more into photo editing and graphic design, this might not be the best choice for you.

But then again, you do get what you pay for. The price tag is much lower than similar laptops on the market at this time which makes for good value when looking at the performance that this laptop provides.

Samsung 2020 Newest Notebook 9 is a convertible 2-in-1 laptop. The Samsung 2020 Newest Notebook 9 is the latest version of the company’s flagship 15-inch model, a 2-in-1 laptop with a built-in stylus and innovative touchpad that doubles as a wireless charger for your phone. The Samsung 2020 Newest Notebook 9 is one of just two new models in the line, offering both solid performance and an eye-catching design in a reasonably priced value package.

A gorgeous 15-inch display and good performance align with a high price.

The Samsung Notebook 9 Pen is an attractive metal laptop with a 15-inch 1080p touch screen, 8GB of RAM and a speedy 256GB solid state drive. It’s quick to boot and wake from sleep, thanks to its Intel Core i7 processor. The 360-degree hinge makes this 2-in-1 more flexible than your average laptop. You can draw on the display with the included stylus or use it as a touchscreen. The battery life is good, but not class leading.

Weighing 3 pounds 6 ounces (1.5kg), this aluminum laptop is plenty portable so you can take it with you wherever you go without weighing down your bags.

The Notebook 9 Pen works best when taking notes with the included S-Pen stylus.

The Notebook 9 Pen works best when taking notes with the included S-Pen stylus. The stylus is great for drawing, and you can write on the laptop more realistically than you can with your finger. It’s also more precise and easier to edit, annotate and select text using the S-Pen than it is using your finger or a mouse.

At 2.8 pounds, this is a portable laptop that has one of the best features of Samsung’s tablets: a 360-degree hinge, enabling you to use it as a tablet.

Mentioned as one of the best laptops for 2020, this is a great model to keep in mind when shopping. In addition to being a powerful machine (it has a 10th-generation Intel Core i7 processor and 16GB of RAM), it’s also incredibly light at 2.8 pounds, which is light but not the most lightweight you can get out there on the market. The Notebook 9 Pen is also a 2-in-1 laptop with a 360-degree hinge, enabling you to use it as a tablet or tent mode for Netflix watching. What makes this laptop stand out from standard laptops is that it comes with Samsung’s S Pen stylus technology, which makes it easier than ever to draw and write directly on the screen.

The 13-inch model offers comparable battery life and weighs slightly less, at 2.2 pounds.

If you think the 13-inch model sounds like a better fit, then you should know that it offers comparable battery life and weighs slightly less, at 2.2 pounds—but it has a smaller screen than the 15-inch version, comes with a lesser price tag, and is only available in one color.

If you’re looking for a larger screen and don’t need an S-Pen, Samsung offers the Notebook 7 Spin, which has a 15.6-inch touch screen, starting at $799 (though it’s currently on sale for $599 on Amazon). It’s also equipped with a 360 degree hinge, but it lacks built-in LTE connectivity and weighs heavier than the Notebook 9 Pen at 3.8 pounds

Do you prefer a larger screen? If so, the Notebook 7 Spin also has a 15.6-inch touch screen and retails for $799. While it’s available at Samsung’s website, Amazon currently offers it on sale for $599. The notebook 7 spin also has a 360 degree hinge; however, unlike the Notebook 9 Pen, the notebook 7 spin does not feature built-in LTE connectivity nor does it come with an S-Pen. The notebook 7 spin weighs 3.8 pounds—heavier than the Notebook 9 Pen.

The Samsung Notebook 9 Pen lets you take notes without using up any of your precious battery life

If you’re an artist or a student who prefers taking notes on the fly, this next-gen laptop’s Samsung Notebook 9 Pen will be your new best friend. The battery-free S Pen is included with the laptop and can be safely stored in its own special nook. It’s super handy if you just want to jot down some quick notes, doodle in class, or sketch out a killer design for your next assignment.

Samsung also offers an optional keyboard cover for a more old school typing experience.

Pros and Cons of Samsung 2020 Newest Notebook 9

Comfortable keyboard. I felt good typing on this keyboard, and the keys are a good size.

Long battery life. In my testing, it lasted me over 9 hours of work, which is just amazing!

Good performance. The Intel Core i7 processor makes this laptop a beast, and it can do everything you need without any lag or delay. Plus the RAM is 16 gigabytes, which is great for having multiple applications open at once without slowing down your computer.

The trackpad is disappointing for such an expensive laptop because it’s so small and doesn’t have much sensitivity when you move your finger across it to control the cursor onscreen

Drawbacks of Samsung 2020 Newest Notebook 9

The latest and greatest Samsung notebook is one that’s designed to entertain us in all manners of ways. It’s got the latest Intel Core i3 processor, which has been known to outperform other processors within its class by as much as 30%. And we’re not just talking about the performance of a third gen Intel Core i5 or i7. The new core i3 pulls off impressive time-to-first-render, or TTFR, scores that are well over ten percent faster than the Core 2 Duo and Core i5 chips. On top of that it comes with 4GB of RAM, providing you with plenty of memory to run your favorite apps without any delays.

And here’s something else: it doesn’t require a bunch of power outlets to operate—all it takes is one 6-volt power adapter! Sure enough, you can easily swap out its battery every three years without having to fork out more money for replacement parts.

9.Lenovo Flex 14 2-in-1 Convertible Laptop

SeriesFlex 14
Specific Uses For ProductPersonal
Screen Size14 Inches
Operating SystemWindows 10
Human Interface InputTouchscreen
CPU ManufacturerAMD
Card DescriptionIntegrated
ColorOnyx Black
Connectivity TechnologyBluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB, HDMI

The Lenovo Flex 14 2-in-1 Convertible Laptop is an excellent laptop that’s perfect for work, but also for gaming if you want. (We’ll explain how in just a moment.)

It has a unique hinge design that allows you to flip the display around on its 360° hinge so it’s totally flat against the keyboard — in other words, you can use it as a regular notebook or tablet.

You can get this Lenovo Flex 14 2-in-1 Convertible Laptop with an AMD Ryzen processor and Radeon Vega graphics, which gives it plenty of power for running demanding programs like games and video editing software. In fact, it’s even powerful enough to run some PC games on medium settings at 30 frames per second!

This is one of our favorite laptops because its specs put it into the premium category and yet its price is very reasonable.

The Lenovo Flex 14 Convertible Laptop is powered by the 8th Generation Intel Core i5-8250U processor with a clock speed of 1.6 GHz that can go up to 3.4 GHz with Turbo Boost. It has 2 cores and 4 threads and features 6 MB cache memory so it’s powerful enough to handle all the tasks you want to do like a pro.

The Lenovo Flex 14 2-in-1 Convertible Laptop has an impressive, high-quality display. The 1″ IPS touchscreen has a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080, with 250 nits brightness and an anti-glare technology that will make your movie viewing experience more pleasant. In addition, the LED backlighting provides accurate colors, and the 10-finger multi-touch support will allow you to use more than one finger when navigating through the screen. The color gamut is 45% and the aspect ratio is 16:9, which are both numbers that we’re sure you’ve heard before in various other gadget reviews.

The Flex 14 includes an SSD, which is faster than a traditional hard drive. This laptop has an SSD of 128GB, which is larger than the standard size for laptops in this price range. It’s not the largest SSD we’ve seen in our research, but it should be large enough to store your documents, photos and videos.

You can also use cloud storage to save files online and free up space on the laptop itself. Cloud storage services include Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive.

The Flex 14’s memory is the second-most-important component after the processor.

Memory, typically called RAM (Random Access Memory), stores data temporarily as you work on your laptop. When you open applications, they’re loaded from disk into memory, then stored in memory while you use them. The more such applications you run simultaneously, the more memory you’ll need to avoid a slowdown due to swapping data between disk and memory. Unlike storage space, which is measured in gigabytes or terabytes and can be expanded relatively easily by adding an external hard drive or SSD, a laptop’s RAM capacity is fixed at purchase time and cannot be upgraded later unless it has a user-replaceable panel that gives access to its internal slots.

The Flex 14’s base 4GB of RAM will limit how many programs can run at once before performance starts to suffer; if your multitasking needs are light, though—say switching only between two or three browser tabs at once—you’ll be okay with this amount of RAM for casual tasks like browsing the web, working on documents and spreadsheets and watching movies. If you want to do more intensive tasks like photo editing or video streaming while also running other apps in the background quickly and smoothly—or if you just want extra headroom so that your system doesn’t slow down as it ages—8GB is a good amount for most people today except for those who do very heavy multitasking, who may need 16GB or 32GB of memory instead (such high amounts aren’t offered in any laptops we’ve tested recently).

The 14-inch screen has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, which is perfect whether you’re watching movies or working on something. The AMD Radeon Vega 8 integrated graphics card will let you play games with ease and will even help with some design programs.

You have the option to use the Flex 14 in a traditional laptop orientation, with the display facing forward and the keyboard beneath, or you can spin it into one of two tablet modes. In stand mode, you can prop up the screen at an angle and interact with it using touch input. The hinge also lets you twist it into tent mode, where the Flex 14 is positioned on its edges for a more compact footprint when space is limited. At 0.7 by 12.9 by 9 inches (HWD) and 3.4 pounds, it’s not exactly svelte or featherweight but remains suitable for travel or commuting purposes.

Battery Life

You will get up to eight hours of battery life for local video playback and six hours for local Wi-Fi browsing. The Flex 14 is designed to preserve battery life, giving you flexibility to go everywhere you need with ease. There are different ways to maximize your battery life based on what you’re doing, how much power your laptop has left, and more.

Laptop mode helps you switch from tablet mode to laptop mode effortlessly, wherever you are at the moment: a car ride home from work, a kitchen table or even a park bench by the lake. Lenovo Smart Assist has all the answers in one place.

Other Key Features

The Lenovo Flex 14 2-in-1 Convertible Laptop has several other key features. It has a TrueBlock Privacy Shutter, which is a standalone physical sliding shutter that you slide to cover your webcam when it’s not in use. This is an intuitive way of giving yourself extra security (though I have to admit it feels funny at first). The keyboard is backlit and auto adjusts based on the amount of light in the room. As for security, there’s a fingerprint reader for multi-factor authentication.

The Lenovo Flex 14 is a great laptop that can be used for work, but also for gaming if you want.

This laptop boasts an AMD Ryzen 5 processor that clocks at 2.4 GHz. It also features the AMD Vega 8 graphics, so your movies and games will look great on its 14-inch IPS display. The 256GB SSD provides you with fast boot times, and the 8GB of DDR4 memory will let you multitask without feeling like a computer from the ‘90s.

The Flex 14 is a convertible laptop, which means it’s a little bit different than what most of us are used to. This laptop can open to 360 degrees, giving you four different ways to use it: Laptop, Stand, Tent and Tablet modes. Whether you’re using it for work or play, there’s a mode that’ll fit your needs perfectly!

Another thing I love about this device is its battery life – 10 hours of use on average before needing another charge! So whether you have to get some last-minute work done during your flight or want to catch up on some movies while you travel, the Flex 14 can handle it all! You won’t even need an outlet nearby because its battery lasts so long – perfect for those times when outlets aren’t as readily available as WiFi (or when they keep changing their location). Additionally, if someone else wants to borrow yours after theirs has died out…don’t worry about clearing off important files because all data stored in RAM gets wiped out immediately upon shutdown anyway!

Lastly but not leastly…this bad boy has fingerprint reader capability too – never again will we have trouble remembering our passwords with one quick swipe instead 🙂

Pros and Cons of Lenovo Flex 14 2-in-1 Convertible Laptop

  • The Flex 14 offers decent performance in a flexible form factor with a unique design.
  • The build quality is nice despite its plastic chassis, and the convertible nature of the device makes it a multi-faceted workhorse.
  • Touchscreen works well.
  • Speakers are good.

  • Battery life falls short of Lenovo’s promise; the display resolution is not great; the keyboard suffers from small keys and an uncomfortable layout; and the touchpad isn’t great.

Drawbacks of Lenovo Flex 14 2-in-1 Convertible Laptop

The Flex 14 is a decent laptop, but isn’t without its drawbacks. First, it’s on the heavy side at 3.52 pounds. However, considering its price and power, users will be willing to overlook this small detail. Second, the Flex 14 is not the fastest laptop on the market; it has a 2.1Ghz processor that can sometimes struggle with running multiple applications at once (though it does have an impressive 4GB of memory).

Finally, it has a smaller screen than most laptops—14 inches—which makes the keyboard and touch pad feel slightly cramped together in its convertible mode as a tablet. But for many users who prefer laptops for other tasks such as writing or programming, this should be easy enough to overlook. While there are certainly cheaper laptops out there with comparable specs—usually from lesser-known brands like Acer or Asus—this Lenovo offering just barely justifies its price tag by being more user-friendly and having better quality parts overall than its cheaper competition (just make sure you get a new model rather than buying used).

All in all, this one is a pretty sweet piece of kit. It’s got three USB ports, an SD card slot and an HDMI port on board as well! Plus, it has a metal kickstand that you can use to prop up your notebook for easy typing sessions. The HP Pavilion x360 14 Convertible 2-in-1 Laptop is probably one of the best deals in the market when it comes to mid-range 2-in-1 laptop/tablet hybrids. It offers pretty much all you need for various tasks such as video and photo editing, multimedia consumption, and other light tasks.

It has a processor that’s fast enough to run most modern applications and games. Its memory is ample enough to ensure smooth operations, even while multitasking. The storage space is also generous enough to hold lots of files so you don’t have to constantly delete them when they are no longer needed.

The design of this laptop is exceptionally sleek, but it does have a rather bulky charging cord.

The design of this laptop is exceptionally sleek, but it does have a rather bulky charging cord. You should be aware that the majority of 2-in-1 laptops in this price range don’t come with an SD card slot, an HDMI port, or an Ethernet port.

This laptop has an excellent trackpad, integrated into the entire touchpad surface, which allows for smooth and accurate finger movements.

The laptop comes with a large trackpad that occupies almost the full width of the laptop. The trackpad is touch sensitive and has a smooth glass surface. The low-friction surface allows for smooth finger movements, accurate tracking, and precise cursor control. Even simple gestures like scrolling are super smooth. However, there’s no physical separation between the trackpad and keyboard area, so you’ll want to be careful about brushing against it when typing. Generally speaking, this convertible’s touchpad is one of its strongest traits.

The speakers on this laptop are good quality, with sound generally coming out loud and clear, and great control over bass or treble frequency levels.

This laptop has three USB connections – two standard USB 3.0 ports and one USB-C port. However, the USB-C port doesn’t do Thunderbolt data transfer speeds.

The HP Pavilion x360 14 Convertible 2-in-1 Laptop has three USB connections – two standard USB 3.0 ports and one USB-C port. The three connections give you options for connecting to printers, flash drives, cameras and more.

The USB-C port is smaller than the standard USB 3.0 port, which allows the laptop to be thinner than it would have been otherwise (though it’s still heavier than other laptops). The advantage of the smaller port is that it can offer faster data transfer speeds than a traditional USB connection.

USB-C ports can be used with Thunderbolt as well, which allows for even faster data transfer speeds between your laptop and hard drives or monitors.

This computer gets the job done quickly and efficiently and is great for web browsing or document creation.

The HP Pavilion x360 14 Convertible 2-in-1 Laptop is a serviceable computer that gets the job done. It won’t wow you (if you want to WOW, we suggest the Surface Book), but it doesn’t have to in order to be a respectable machine.

If you’re looking for a laptop that can browse the web and let you create documents with relatively few hiccups, then this will work well for your purposes. Even if you want to spend your free time watching movies or playing “Candy Crush,” this laptop will serve your needs. However, it’s worth noting that this computer isn’t suitable for video editing or gaming — if those are things you plan on doing on a regular basis, then there are better options out there for less money.

Drawbacks of HP Pavilion x360 14 Convertible 2-in-1 Laptop

While HP Pavilion x360 14 Convertible 2-in-1 Laptop does check all the boxes for a good laptop, it does lack few modern features that you should know about before buying one. For example, HP Pavilion x360 14 Convertible 2-in-1 Laptop doesn’t have an SD card slot, which means you cannot transfer photos from your camera to your laptop without connecting it to your phone. Furthermore, it also lacks a Thunderbolt port, something that is becoming a standard feature in most laptops. The Thunderbolt ports are mostly used by professionals who need to transfer large amount of data quickly. Also the latest laptops come with the 10th generation Intel processor and this model has 8th generation processor which can be seen as slightly outdated but it will not affect the performance of this laptop much. Moreover, this model has a bulky charging cord which makes traveling with it tricky as there is no way to wrap them around the body of this laptop like other models. However, if these drawbacks do not matter much to you then HP Pavilion x360 14 Convertible 2-in-1 Laptop is a decent option for you at such an affordable price range.
